  1. Love the look, CAT and Ramflow ... but with Triple axle ... what is the weight of boat and trailer now? Just seeing if I'll have to upgrade the tow vehicle AND boat next year ...
  2. My wife and I have mandated helmets for any rider behind our boat. We've only had 1ER vist in the 6 years of wakeboarding. Helmets have saved me many a day ending fall and protected the back of the boat from my head during a really bad surfing fall ... Yes. I have been accused of being really hard headed!!
  3. Boating pet peeves/ ethics

Number one rule on our boat ... NO Shop Talk! It drives my wife crazy to have guys from work come out and all we talk about is stuff at work - this is our decompression time ... Number two - have fun ! And the rest of the normal rules - help wipe down the boat when we get back, help pay for gas or at least offer!, be on time (or we leave you) ..
  4. We are having some issues with our factory ballast system on our 2008 SV230 - seems to be pumping into all tanks regardless of switch position! If we have any switch turned on (pumping in our out) the overflows on all of the tanks all start flowing out. Despite pumping out on all tanks prior to pulling the boat out of the water, we dump water all over the ramp - indicating to me that the tanks are still full. We did have some repairs done in November by the dealer in Sacramento (nameless for now) - but we are now in Miami and there are no Centurion dealers here. Closest dealer is in Ocala (Transition Water Sports) - great guys up there but it is a 4-5 hour haul to get the boat up there! So ... I am wondering if anyone here has a wiring diagram and plumbing diagram for this ballast system. Need to get this corrected before jumping up to FatSacs in place of or in addition to the factory system! Thanks
  5. Surfboard for wife?

We picked up a Hyperlite Broadcast 4' 9 board when we got down here to Miami and it has been great. Triple fin makes it nice and stable for us beginners! With the new board we are up fast, can stay with the boat (rope as a crutch only when we get spit out the back), land and launch off the swim deck etc. Water's great down here! And if you want a pic of just the board ... here you go ! Sorry if the pics aren't recent enough ... these were shot on Apr 28th
  6. Perfect Pass GPS Speedo

Humm ... it would definitely be more accurate than the paddle wheel ... but our Stargazer loses GPS signal randomly in addition to not working until 30 -60 seconds after the engine is running. We have a second handheld GPS that is rock solid as a backup.
  7. First Surf of the Year!

Wakeboarding and surfing in Miami .. water is GREAT - and the Floridians think it is cold! Hah! Shot from Lake Wier (central Florida) And Miami ... Sorry - no photos from the 28 Feb boating!
  8. Beautiful day at the lake

Lake looks awesome! Always good to get back into the water Now if I could just shift my work hours to take advantage of great morning water in the middle of the week ...
  9. Our baby gets premium with stabilizer for winter. The truck gets what ever hose reaches the tank ... People always look at us funny when we pull up to the pumps and grab two hoses - one for the truck and one for the boat.
  10. Boat cover recommendations

I might be crazy but not THAT crazy - The spare tire, jacks stands, jacks, and other accessories to keep the trailer happy are in the bed of the truck ... And yes - seriously dirty truck - but hey, 6 days of straight driving can do that!

  12. Lets see your tow rig!

We had to trade the company truck (2008 Tundra Max-cab) for the venerable 2002 F-250 Super Duty Crew Cab for our Cross Country Towing adventure. The V-10 was awesome for towing, but I loved the Toyota's cab - it is so much more comfortable than the Ford ... This is the before picture - Sparks, Nevada -
  13. Boat cover recommendations

We just moved from Nevada to Florida - towing our baby all the way. We purchased an awesome cover from David Green - Custom Covers out of Salt Lake. Cinch cover - stayed nice and tight the entire 3300 miles at 70+ mph. Vented at the windshield - pulls down nice and tight. I would highly recommend them. Cost for our Enso SV230, Evolution Tower, was about 900 shipped to our door. The only suggestion is to not use the tiedowns that attach to the sides of the trailer - they had a tendency to pop off and after 4 days of stopping every couple of hours to reset one, we left them off and it worked perfectly. Contact info: David Green Custom Covers - 3555 South Main St Salt Lake City, UT 84115 801-262-4017 Starting location - Sparks NV - note straps from cover to trailer and that funny white stuff on the ground ... Almost to Florida - Gulf Port, Mississippi - note - no straps since El Paso, Tx
  14. Echoing everyone else - wow- glad to see you are all safe. As hard as it is to see your hard earned stuff get destroyed, "stuff" can be replaced ... people can't. Hope everything works out for you with the insurance sharks and your new tow rig and boat will soon arrive in your driveway!
