  1. On mine Cap and Rotor beginning of every season. You got 200+ hours which is great I got 60 before the first time I had to change it.
  2. I am using a tow truck so height is no problem. Sooo the engine just slides off the trans ? Once unbolted ?
  3. Hasnt anyone pulled an engine in one of these ? source for info
  4. Men I am looking to pull my engine soon and would like to know if it is to be removed with or without V-drive. Doesnt look like I have the room to pull it as an assembly which leads me to my next question. How do you separate the engine from drive in the boat ?
  5. I agree that the gate is used to skew the boat and make it push sideways thru the water thus creating a larger wake, so with that said I suppose at some point the boat will be difficult to steer straight , not that it matters much. This is going to be first on my to do list once the engine remove and install is done weather permitting this weekend.
  6. From what you have done do you think gate size(length&width) or amount of angle would yield the best results I think I am going to make a fixed temporary setup like yours to try and see how it works then graduate to the real thing. I may be pulling the engine this weekend so the gate will be on hold for another couple weeks, still cold in NJ anyway
  7. Tuneman have you done anymore with this. Any pictures of more permanent setup.
  8. I think before i go thru all the trouble of moving the tabs to the side I will make a wood one like the threadstarter to get an idea of how it will work. Question the gate should be put on the opposite side of the wake you want to create. Also do you once in the neutral position will it affect normal wake boarding wave? Anyone think the NSS style is better than a gate style ? It would be very easy to make a NSS type setup. Maybe even a mechanical one for starters would be rather easy to make. Going to uncover the boat this weekend and get to work on this
  9. So last year I got the bright idea to put a set of tabs on my Avy with the thought that I could use them to tailor a good surf wave. Waste of time and money that did crap. Now from what I am seeing perhaps I will move them from the bottom to the sides to act as powered gates. Thoughts ?
  10. Wow thats kool, has anyone made a set for our boats either homemade or store bought. I haven't been able to find any real good videos or pictures of how they are setup ? Do you think they would work on our boats ? Need some guidance here I will move them in a heartbeat if they would work, thoughts and suggestions please
  11. Where would you start to look, at the basic power in ? Sucks may have to wait til next year the weather is gettin crappy here.
  12. Question for the crew. My PP powers up ok then the screen fades in and out any thoughts where to start looking. Oh yeah it doesnt do it all the time Thank you for any input you may have
  13. Not gonna take them off even if they dont do the job. I rather look at them with a tear than look at the holes and cry. Further adjustments this weekend. I will try and get some pics of what the wake looks like both surf and wakeboard
  14. Harlobra they came that way. So here is my partial review, My hope was that they would enhance the wake for wakesufing......they do not so if this is your goal dont waste your money yet. Although they funtion very well to trim the boat the result is a very damaged wave for surfing. Not totally done testing and playing yet. As for fine tuning your wake for wakeboarding they seem to work OK. Overall hold off on ordering up a set.
