You all give him too much credit. I have a feeling that tip came from his previous boat life! Lol
  2. Viking's S226

So, you remove your seats every time someone goes from the rear sundeck to inside your boat? I can't imagine myself pulling the cushion every time. Or are you just thinking that when you're floating and there's lots of traffic that you'd pull the cushion for that float session?
  3. I've talked to Chuck quite a bit and crawled all over a couple of their boats at the PDX boat show. One of these days I might have a chance to get out on one. I'm about 3 or 4 hours away from their headquarters. I'll have to hit him up again to see if he'll be trekking up I-5 for anything with one of their boats...

Awesome. Yeah, I got the idea from Viking when he did it on his Moomba. Home Depot or Amazon are the vendors of choice for the EZNets. I did site to store at the Depot.

Note, the screws that came with the small ones were a good length. the screws that came with the medium nets were too long. None of them were stainless, so I might need to replace screws at some point...

Step 1: Buy EzNets from Home Depot: http://www.homedepot.com/b/Storage-Organization-Closet-Storage-Organization-Closet-Organizer-Accessories/EZnet/N-5yc1vZc89gZaaa Step 2: Screw nets into place Step 3: Take pictures Step 4: Post it up for us all to admire your work.
  7. I'm only 5'10 like yourself! and you still made me drive! LOL I didn't have any problem seeing. Never had to stand.
  8. Did you ever time them to figure out how quickly the really open/close? I'm interested in this too...
  9. Oh, and they come with 4000 pounds of stock ballast with an option upgrade to 4,800.
  10. I talked with Chuck quite a while at the Portland boat show. We crawled all over the newest pavati. They are certainly leveraging the newest tech they have available to them. One of the things they're coming out with for 2015 is "icebreaker" cup holders, which are refrigerated cup holders. How cool is that? Lots of fun stuff like an integrated camera in the tower and all sorts of thoughtful conveniences. There's not very many of these boats in the market. When I talked to him there were under 20 if I remember right. But they were looking to ramp up production and possibly put out up to 100 in the next year. The cool thing is that you could get things changed up any way you like if you got one. There's no "mold" like on the fiberglass hulls. Chuck is a really cool guy. I hope his company succeeds.

20/20 hindsight. he thought he had him. Who woulda thought the police would be a dead end.

I had a friend of mine that sold a surfboard to a guy. They met at his house and were talking boats. Later on, he was prepping his boat and looked up to see both of his REV410's were GONE. He got the insurance money and replaced them. Later on, at the boat launch, they see a that surfboard they sold and a boat with a pair or REV410's mounted above this guy's tower. It was obvious they stole them, down to the sun fading on them except where the gopro mount used to be. The police were called, but since REV410's have no serial numbers or other way to prove to the police that they were proven to be the ones that were stolen, the police could do nothing. They insisted that they "bought them online" and lied through their teeth. And yeah, likewise a good neighborhood. Obviously he doesn't do CL deals at his house anymore and he also inscribed his new REV410's with numbering.

Thanks guys. WS is doing itself a dis-service in that it advertises the "Swivel" aspect of its clamps but doesn't really advertise the quick release aspect. That's a HUGE consideration for someone like me that has their boat either in the back carport on in the front, in the RV parking. There's no way I could justify having that much speaker hanging on the tower for some meth-head to help themselves to at 4am. I guess with WS having quick release, that keeps them in the running. :-)
  14. Viking's S226

Hey Viking, can you tell me how the wetsounds swivel clamps work? Are they swivel AND quick release? I've seen the exile first hand and am interested in the WS version. They don't really do a good job advertising the quick release functionality, so I'm kind of in the dark.
  15. Speaker Size?

I know I'm a little late to the party, but if it were me, I'd totally get a set of the Kicker 6500.2 HLCD speakers and put them in your stock cans. they will be able to project your sound out to wakeboard length. Sure they won't sound like Rev 8's or XM9's but for the money, it's hard to beat a plug and play HLCD setup. $215 on ebay for new: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kicker-10KM65002-6-5-400W-Marine-Component-Speakers-Horn-Tweeters-KM6500-2-/351065812843?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item51bd272f6b&vxp=mtr You might have to relocate the crossover on the horn like I did, but it's really not that hard to do a little wiring and move it.
