  1. Anyone had any experience with these ECU performance tuners for PCM engines? They claim a 15%-17% increase in HP/Torque while improving fuel efficiency which would be helpful at high altitude. http://www.magnumtuning.com/en/detail/smart-tune-x-boat-fuel-tuner-performance-module/pcm/zr-450-mpi Any input is much appreciated! 2. PCM ZR 450 Performance tune

Sorry for the typo, I'm actually running a 1615 (14.5x13.75) not the 1617. I have spoken with ACME, they've asked for some RPM/speed/weight data this weekend to help recommend a fix. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. PCM ZR 450 Performance tune

It's a drastic difference out here, at 4,500ft (Utah Lake or Yuba) I can push all the weight I want at surf speed range 9.5mph -11.5mph. On Jordanelle Reservoir, around 6,200ft I struggle to get the same weight to even reach 9.5mph! That's with an Acme 1617 prop, which as I understand is even more aggressive than the default 1235 high altitude prop, hence the desperate search for a little more power, it's that or spend a lot more on upgrading to the 550.
  4. 2015 Fav Paint Schemes

Thanks, it's a custom bimini from Custom Covers (www.sewlong.com) and it's fantastic. It does have surf sleeves which are easily accessed and the rope does not rub as the rear section has a slight downward slant. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  6. I also suspect they added the QuickSurf to those settings to assist with speed more than wake shape, as you'll find it's difficult to get the boat above 10mph at that weight even with the 450. Keep in mind we're at high elevation in Utah, may not be a problem for the rest.
  7. Sadly, there's no way yet to add QuickSurf to user profiles, maybe in a future update? For now it's a manual adjustment after the profile is engaged.
  8. Stoked, give these settings a try, they came recommended by our dealer and worked great for us in deeper water, shallow water took further adjusting. Hope this helps. 9. FAE Alternative

Just a quick observation on the FAE spray issue, we switched to an FAE about a month ago on our FS33, we all surf regular and I can honestly say we don't have any spray issues at all when at surfing speeds and the noise reduction is dramatic! (Will take some video in the next day or 2) Now, strange as this may sound, we did find a bit of spray on the goofy side, but nothing big enough to bug anyone surfing that side... not sure why that is? Overall, we're very pleased with the upgrade. On another note, I think the plastic trash can under the rear seat may be a co-contributor to the loud engine noise, it's the only thing between the seat and engine bay and acts like a speaker box. I'm going to try insulate it some how, maybe just stuff it with some towels at first to see if it cuts down on noise levels in the cabin. Furthermore, has anybody tried sound dampening material in the engine bay?
  10. But don't give up on QuickSurf completely until you've tried it in deeper water. We really like the quick surf wave, it's definitely not as tall but it's super long and lippy, in fact I still haven't matched the length of the QuickSurf wave when listed, but we have less than 10hrs on ours and lots of dialing-in still to do. Enjoy!
  11. Stoked, we were hoping to find the same with our FS33 in Utah Lake (6-9ft ish). Sadly quicksurf did not help in our case, I will say however that the listed wave was by far the best I've seen in shallow water. We owned a 2010 230 prior to this and the difference is night and day! I'd say stick with ramfill for the best result. Let us know how it goes, Good luck!
  12. slingshot surf boards

We have a slingshot T-Rex 4.7 and love the way it rides, adjustable fin setup, feels like a great mix between surf and skim, great price point too.
  13. Show of hands please... Ditch the Surf decal, yay or nay?... what say you?
  14. Can any FS33 owners share what settings you've found to work best on the regular side both listed and quicksurf? Spent a couple ours out on the water yesterday testing, found the listed wave to be huge with tones of push but not very long. The quicksurf wave was smaller but impressively long on the goofyside, regular side was washed out? About to head out again and give it another go so any advice is much appreciated!
  15. Surf decal delete

Thanks all, some great opinions. I agree that it looks a little empty without anything there, perhaps if both rear stripes were white it would work fine without the surf... Think I'll leave it as is for now. Thanks again!
  16. Fresh Air Exhaust

Sorry it took so long, seem to be having issues uploading... added some FAE pics as requested. FS33 Pics
  17. Fresh Air Exhaust

Finally got to test the FAE on our FS33, happy to report no spray at surf speeds! Sounds great too.
  18. Fresh Air Exhaust

Dreamer, it is, actually looks like it may be angled back towards the boat a little when in the water?
  19. Fresh Air Exhaust

Our FS33 just got an FAE upgrade today, no testing yet thanks to rain but I'm hoping to get out Wednesaday and will update here with my findings.
  20. CRAIGSLIST FINDS

Like the inland surfer red-woody in Okaloosa, sadly the seller is not willing to ship it, great board for someone in Florida.
  21. May Picture and Video Thread

I've gotta say, after trying both boats I think the FS33 wave is every bit as good as the FS44. Yes, the FS44 has larger ramfill tanks but keep in mind that it's also a larger boat (surface area) and thus requires more weight to displace. The FS44 has more interior room, the FS33 has more storage, other than that I honestly believe these boats are equally fantastic in the wave department. Either way you've got the best wake surf setup on the water.
  22. Boatnut, I'm in Utah...
  23. Thanks for the heads up guys, just switched my policy (2015 FS33) with one of the big name providers, was paying $850, now only $379 for the same coverage with SkiSafe! Cheers!
  24. FS33 Videos!

Sadly, not too many good FS33 videos out there yet. Here's a couple with a good look at the wake, incase you missed them: http://wake9.com/pb
