  1. July pic and video thread 2016

??Thanks, very interested to hear what you're running, my port side wave is huge but I can't get it nearly as long or clean as the goofy side! ?
  2. July pic and video thread 2016

Great pics and great looking wave, are you able to replicate that on the regular side? If so please share your surf settings. Cheers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Opinions For New Boat!

Agreed, 409 will struggle at elevation.
  4. Thought I'd post a pic of the old and new FAE side by side for anyone interested in seeing the difference. I'm told the new design fixes the spray issues found on the older one, will know soon enough! Either way, Larry & Christina at Fresh Air Exhaust have been awesome to work with and went the extra mile to get me a new system. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. FAE new vs old

New one is on top, it's now 1 piece. They also dropped the 90 degree turn, narrowed and tapered the outlet.
  6. My #1 Gripe: Prop gap to the hull - restricts prop size to 14.5 or lower.
  7. June pics and video thread 2016

Your tweaking worked well, that's a great looking goofy wave, I'd be interested to hear what port side settings you settle on.
  8. Something wicked this way comes

    Nice one, fantastic boats... Congratulations!

Some shallow water fun from the weekend. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. May pics and video thread

Cheers! She's six, loves water but not crazy about trying to surf. This was our first step towards it, trying to keep it fun for now, the rest will come. 3 years old... that's awesome! post some pics of your progress.

  12. Can't speak for the new H5/H6 but our 2015 450 ran around 3300-3400rpm with the 1615 and around 3500-3600rpm with the 2079. For our elevation 5000ft plus, the 2079 was the only way to push full ballast. I know the new motors perform better, but if you're going to elevation above 5000ft I'd revonend comparing the 1615 and 2079.
  13. Donterry, were you testing at DeerCreek on Sunday in a blue/silver fs33?
  14. Ri 217

This is the only video I can find of the Ri217 surf wave. Is it just me or do both the Ri waves seem to lack shape? Don't get me wrong it's a big mound of water, just doesn't have the same curl and face you get from an FS boat. What say you?
  15. Depends on altitude and how much ballast you're running. Eg. Our lakes are roughly 4,500ft, 5,500ft and 6,200ft, and we run bow @ 50%, pnp's 100%, surf ram 100% and counter ram @40%. With that setup the 1615 cuts the mustard (just barely) at the 2 lower elevations. At 6,200ft we can't hit surf speeds, we get to about 10mph tops and even have trouble getting enough speed to drain the ram fill. I just tested the 2079 & 2199(5 blade) in the last 2 weeks, my suggestion is to save yourself the headache and go with the 2079, it was the only prop able to do the job, top end dropped from 35mph to 32mph but it's a small trade off to have the boat working as advertised with a noticeable difference in pulling power. Another notable difference is that while both props cavitate at high rpm, the 2079 kicked in later in the rev range around 5400rpm vs the 1615 around 5200rpm if I recall correctly. This only applies to the 2015 model year as the new engines are the bomb from what I've heard. Truly, I think a bump in diameter would help but with tiny clearance on the fs33, not sure a 15" would work without hull burn? Have also heard via the grapevine that centurion was working on a fix for the boats to run 15" props? Not sure how that's possible, just what I heard!
  16. Fresh Air Exhaust

Stoked, can you post some pics of the new design? Cheers.
  17. Ri237 or fs33?

  18. So I took a demo on a Z3 the other day and noticed they weighted the boat to a 7 - 8 degree list with the built in gyro/angle meter. This seems like a great way to keep track of the perfect wave setting when condition change and you're adding or subtracting ballast and people. Those little portable electronic angle meters are inexpensive, anyone out there know the ideal centurion list angles? Specifically FS33 in my case. Thanks
  19. Ri237 or fs33?

Agreed, FS33 listed wave is simply amazing. But I honestly think the QuickSurf wave is still good and actually noticeably longer when dialed in. PS. My 2015 FS33 is for sale if you'd like to save a boat load off a new one... just a thought!
  20. Ri 217

I've heard the boat has an amazing surf wave, some have even claimed it bests the Ri237, owing to the fact that it only has 150lbs less ballast on a 2ft smaller hull. Can't wait to demo and see for myself, in the meantime, anyone have any demo videos/pics?
  21. ri 237

So was that listed or quicksurf in the video?
  22. Sorry this is going off topic but you guys mentioned surfing Utah lake. I'm sure you've also had issues launching at the marina's with the crazy low water levels, I've personally destroyed 2 props. Anyway, it seems the city has a survey for feedback on the conditions, please take a minute to fill it out and let them know what a problem the launching conditions are. Don't forget to share it with as many local boaters as possible. Who knows, with a bit of luck and a lot of noise they may just put some funds aside to dredge and fix things! http://bit.ly/PelicanBaySurvey Thanks!
  23. 2016 G23 Ride vs 233

Agreed, would love to see/hear a comparison between the new G23 and FS33, anyone lucky enough to have tried both recently?
  24. Am I the only one who doesn't have spray issues with the FAE? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
