  1. I cracked my old beat-up Ronix surfboard that is used for cruising, big surfers, and beginners. So I purchased a Triple X Nitro Green Johnson off the Centurion Crew store. Triple X was great to work with and it is a good surf board that is pretty easy to ride. You can do some pretty good slashing with it. Has anyone else tried their boards? I was impressed with the construction. Also, it came in lime green, our family's favorite color, and it matches the new FX 22.
  2. New Boat

Green skulls are hydra-fenders. They not only look good, but excellent boat fenders. The material does not leave marks and protects your boat really well. We have been using them for 4+ years. Here is the website for them. http://www.hydraboatfenders.com/
  3. New Boat

That was just stock but after surfing a while, noticed the pro bag/pnp bags were 1/2 full. I need to adjust the fill time on the computer and play with the weight more this weekend to dial it in. It has quick fill with PNP pro and bow bags. This is what I had set first day Port port quick fill full Stbd quick fill full (or 1/2 full) cannot remember PNP full Pro full (once I learned they were half full) Bow 70% full Wing plate 10% Goofy Stbd Quick fill full Port quick fill empty PNP and Pro stbd full Bow full Wing plate 60%
  4. New Boat

Wow, that's like way East Texas LOL. I have never been to Livingston but looks nice. Is it deep enough to get a good surf wave (we usually surf in 80ft water)? Can I bring some friends with a go-fast boat (Baja)? They love to surf and are alot of fun. I can get them to sign up on Centurion Crew but did not know the rules about inviting guests.
  5. New Boat

I will get some better pics of the surf wave. This is what I have from it's madden voyage.
  6. New Boat

Thanks, we might make the trip if we can coordinate our schedules.
  7. New Boat

    Nice vessel!!!!
  8. Saturday

    The Kidd!!!! That's awesome!!!
  9. I just surfed a 2013 FX 22 this past weekend (no CATS). I loved the wave so much, I may buy the boat. It drove like a tank, solid. You will love the boat for surfing. Once we got the listing on the port side, the tube on the wave got huge. Send pics of the surf wave for sure. Make sure your wake plate is all the way up on the port wave, makes a huge difference.
  10. Almost dialed in.. Suggestions?

Depth makes a huge difference. Try to stay as deep as possible (25ft if you can). Our lake's average depth is 80-90 feet. There are some spots that get 15-20 ft. When we have hit those areas, the wave changes immediately. Good luck with it but sounds like you have the weight.
  11. Almost dialed in.. Suggestions?

Try maybe adjusting ballast amount in the bow. You can try with people first to see. I have to limit the amount I put in the bow to get the wave big.
  12. cyclone c4 wakesurfing setup

Here is my setup for my Cyclone and I have a killer wave.1100 lb bag in back locker (filled as much as possible) 600-800 lbs of ballast bags on port seat. (this can be done with 2-400 lb bags under the port side seat starting in the back corner and going forward or a long bench seat bag) 250-350 lbs of ballast in bow on port side (can be done with a 400lb sack on bow port side seat or a U shaped bow bag under the seat) Some like some counter weight, but my cyclone likes the listing. I would fill the center tank if there and try it.
  13. I am on Lake Belton here in Central Texas and we are new to Zebra Mussels. The 3 things we have heard that kill mussels are hot water, dry (no water) for a week, and diluted bleach solution. When I pull my boat to go to another lake, I will put a little bleach in each bag and pull drain plugs, and run all water out of motor.
  14. The big boy is sweet!

Which one are you looking at??
  15. The big boy is sweet!

Cool, thanks for the info. I think I have been trying to muscle my way around and loosing it (board will just stop) when the board goes sideways. I need to lean forward more.
  16. Try setting plate to zero then go from there if wave does not look clean. Looks like you just need more riding time and like mentioned above to relax some. The more you ride the better it gets. Play with the speed, my wave gets epic around 10.5-10.8 mph.
  17. The big boy is sweet!

I was reading on James Walker's site on "how to do a 360." He has some good tips and says that the monster fins should not be an issue for the 360. I will give the tips a try this weekend.
  18. The big boy is sweet!

Yes I tried it once but could not get all the way around on the 360. I'm struggling sticking the 360. As for the board without the large fins, it is all over the place for sure!!! Any suggestion on sticking the 360?
  19. Boat looks familiar!!!! Nice stock wave!!!
  20. 12 step surfing meetings?

Wow congrats on the sobriety!!! It's a great way of life for sure!!! My sobriety date is October 19, 1994. Although, I do have an addiction to surfing big-time that has been untreated and looks like no treatment in the future!!! LOL
  21. Look what we have

Nice boat!!! I was surprised at the triple axle trailer!!!
  22. ss210 ballast set up advice

In my Cyclone 21ft, it likes the lean alot on the port side surf. It seems I get a better surf wave on port side if I do not have counter balance but driver and a few riders. Setup: 1100 bag port locker 250 hard tank, 750 bag (filled to about 500lb) under port seat) people sitting on port side (if no peeps, throw a 400lb bag on seat) 400lb bag in bow (filled to about 300lb) This creates a nice long wave. Myself and other drivers are 200+ lbs, so the driver acts as the only counter balance.
  23. Surf Moocher, That is awesome!!! Drake is 16yo too and he has bad scoliosis (had spinal fusion surgery last August) and was cleared to surf about a month ago. His passion is boats and water sports, loves it. He is our official family lake rat for sure. You notice he is on his knees, he used to get on his feet (picture I sent above) in the squating position before surgery. We are slowly working back to the squat position but taking it slow. He started with the knee board with a rope attached, then we found the Zup board which is much easier and forgiving, plus the handles make a huge difference. See if your local boat store has a Zup for you to demo for your 16yo. Drake will cruise for a long time just listening to music and riding the Zup. It's funny, because the other kids love to ride the Zup also. Send pics and I will show Drake.
  24. Drake starts off laying on the board. When I put it in gear he immediately pulls up into the kneeling position. As a driver, you have to be pretty quick because he wastes no time pulling himself up. Once he is up, I do a quick right and then left turn to swing him around to the surf side. Once he gets on the wave, he will surf up and down the wave like a big slide, I help him by some sharp left and right turns. He laughs the whole time!!!
  25. Boat stop?

LOL well that is one way to dock for sure!!!
