  1. Hey crew!

I have an 2007 SV230 with excellent heavy duty travel cover for trailering my boat, however my boat is on a buoy most of the time and it's difficult & timely to put on when the boat is in 8-10 feet of water (especially when I'm in a hurry when storms roll in!).  I'm resistant to do the button down cover as yes, it's easy, but I don't like the look of buttons all around the boat.

Anyone using a cover that is easy/fast to install on a buoy?  Or do I just suck it up and get the button down cover?....

  2. Bought mine with 455 hours.  Great boat, we love it. Incredible port side wave!  Couple things to keep an eye on..... Watch for the impeller pulley.  They been know to walk out of the pump of the on the 5.7 Scorpion (form what I've been told) and the swim platform mounts are finicky (my platform mounts broke, got them welded back on)

  3. Hey guys,

Looking to possibly add some LED lights to my Evolution tower for night surfing. Of course there's a million different choices out there. Any recommendations? We only really surf so I'm assuming short distance wide dispersion would a big feature? I'm trying to avoid a light bar as we have our bimini up pretty much all the time and the Evolution tower is pretty low, the last thing i need is to be banging my head into a light bar

    Cheers,

    TR

  4. Someone needs to develop a waterproof (obviously) watch that you can wear to control volume and tracks. Boats have watches that control the wave, I have no idea why a marine head unit company hasn't developed a watch! I was gonna see if I could make something work with an Apple Watch but they aren't waterproof.

  5. You know what? Total brain freeze..... It never occurred to me to surf with the platform off. The weather turned out to be pretty bad so it wasn't as big of a deal. It definitely floats though, my FAE was also attached and it floated. It actually came off during a huge storm while on the buoy, I was pretty lucky actually, some guys boat got loose from the storm and he went out to get he and walked back in with my swim platform. If he's boat had not got loose there's a good chance i woulda been in the market for a new platform and FAE. Probably gonna weld it back together as the new Centurion mounts don't match up and are stupid expensive (from what i've been told). I'll definitely be watching this thread however.

  6. I do a complete winterization. Only because my buddy lets me use his heated garage for free and if there was a time where he absolutely had to have the space back i can move the boat out no problem. If it was my heated garage i don't know if i would. I guess if there is a power outage, but what are the odds of that for that long of time?

  7. I'm a newbie, but when I looked around at Enzo's (which was forever) before I bought mine I don't remember ever seeing a 2008 with that speaker/cup holder setup. Most where 2006 that had the speakers along the rear seat and 2007 and later went to the double speakers in side openings where the cup holders are. I could be totally wrong though....

    Looks nice and clean though!

  8. It's a 2007 Enzo SV230.

We have a place in Salmon Arm which is 6 hours from Calgary that i keep the boat at. I put it in July long and leave it on the buoy until i pull it out when we leave in August. We vacation there for about 3 weeks so down days significantly reduces yearly boat time. Having said that, with all those down days we still got in about 30 hours in this year. Wish i could stay longer.... trust me!

  9. Hey guys

Just have a question for you Centurion aficionados out there.

I'm a newbie to this and this is our first year with our SV230 and we love it. Amazing boat/wave you name it. Unfortunately we had some real down time with what i've been finding out are common issues (after the fact) on our boat.

First the water pump shaft walked almost right out of the pump (that was scary!) and we had to be towed in. Thankfully no motor damage, as soon as the alarm went of my wife killed the motor. New complete water pump module and 4 days down (at least i'm good for an impeller for a while) and we're back. Then the swim platform hinges broke! One broke off, as i was standing on it talking off my cover which but a stop to any weekend surfing and then to make matters worse we had a ridiculous storm that night in Salmon Arm and the next thing i know, my swim platform and FAE are being pulled out of the lake by some guys who went to fetch there boat that broke loose!

My question is this, are there anymore common issues or inventory of parts on a SV230's that i should be looking out for/keeping in stock? I mean, i realize that these are boats and sh*t happens but i was hoping to maybe inventory some common parts are get ahead of potential issues that consistently come up on SV230's with the Scorpion 330 hp motor to reduce downtime as we really have only a 2-3 week window to use the boat

    Any input would be appreciated

    Thanks guys!

    Todd

I'm an amateur rider but I can tell you it's a very fast board! You can really cut hard with it too (compared to my skim P5) as it really tracks. My brother in law is thinking of selling his as he doesn't like it. I was thinking of buying it but I think it's too much board for me as I'm on the breaks a lot (wish I could try the regular and decide). I'm 6'1 190 lbs. Let me know if your interested

  11. Shuswap area is at 85% normal for snow pack . Our winter ended 30 days early this year so, our lake level is rising 30 days early.

While we will not run out of water or have a boating season jeopardized, low water blows as the Shuswap's boat launches are not designed for low water levels....then again it may rain all of June which it often does then none of this matters.

Screw it...its National Beer Day...that solved it

    Phew!.....
