Thanks for all the feedback guys, I am about to pull the trigger on the 04 Avy (not an 03)... I am pumped!!! I'll make sure to post up a pic if I get it. Cheers
  2. Avy or 06 & newer Elite v

Sweet dude, thanks for the bata, my old man lives in Kelowna, I will get him to check them out... never heard of castanet. Cheers
  3. Hi all, I have been lurking here for a bit, getting schooled on centurions, what a great wealth of info! Looking to purchase my first family boat, would like to keep the budget from 25-30k. I have 2 young children (under 5). I kiteboarded originally and have all the board skills. I recently surfed on a friends boat (tige z1) and am addicted, hence why I'm here. (And the fact that waiting & chasing the wind sucks sometime!!) Boat will predominately be used to surf and wakeboard... but I sure there will be tubing, kneeboarding, etc with little kids. Probably very little slalom skiing Looking for the c4 seating, not a huge fan of the walk thru avy (already looked at one). 1. Is it better to go with a newer 06 elite v c4 (I like the bigger scorpion engine) or an older 03 Avy C4? 2. Being new to the boating world how much difference am I going to notice in the surf wave between the two? 3. Are little kids gonna hate the monster wake of the avy? everything being a wash both boats have ballast, PP, dual batteries, stereo upgrades, hours are about the same (250 & 280)... I can get an clean 03 Avy C4 for 32K and a clean 06 elite v for around 28k... which would you go with? I also have the option of 2 Avy's with the walk thru for under 28k, same options as boats above. I think I know my answer but thought some opinions of those that have these boats would help me from second guessing myself! Oh, I'm in Canada if that makes a difference. Thanks for all the feedback
