  1. I will post some updates on some more boards...my newest favorite is my Phase 5 Danielo carbon, which is saying a lot since I prefer to ride surf style boards.
  2. Minnesota riders check in!?!

Whats up fellas! I have been MIA for the season because work has been BUSY. I went from surfing 5 days a week to 1 day a week if I am lucky. Count me in for the get together. I believe there is a KOA campground in Jordan, MN, about 10-15 minutes away from the launch. If the trailer parking areas gets full I always have room for a few trailers @ my place 2 blocks away from the launch. Enzo, shoot me a text as this gets closer, as I will surely forget otherwise...
  3. New addition

Awesome!!! Congrats!!! My wife is due with our first (boy) in less than 2 weeks!!
  4. NC FACTORY VISIT

Ok guys, my .02 cents....I have a friend who was a GM of a boat dealership that carried Centurions for years (not gonna mention the dealership). They have multiple locations in my state. They no longer sell Centurions but when they knew they were done they sold their inventory for pennies (cost). The 2009 Enzo that they had at the boat show for $98,000 was sold for.........$42,000. Yes $42,000, brand new, never in the water. I will also add that the mark up comes from the dealer, not the manufacture. My guess is that the hard number dealer invoice on that particular Enzo was right around $45,000. I will NEVER buy a brand new boat, truck, motorcycle, etc. I let someone else take the hit from the dealer. I did buy my AVY new, but it was a holdover from the previous year so I got a "deal" on it. If you are willing to travel to find the right boat you will always get a better deal....like PoMe's dealer that is trying to rip people off, but you can't fault them if people are willing to pay that much for a new boat.
  5. So, it is getting way too cold to ride here in the great state of Minnesota so I am planning on heading south next weekend (Sep. 24th-26th) and hitting up Lake Ozark in MO. I have never been there and am looking for all of the help that I can get...boat launch, bars, restaurants, hotels, places to avoid, etc. This will be a "guys" weekend with the crew before I am on lock down as the "warden" is due Oct. 8th with our first child (boy) If any crew members want to meet up just let me know. I think we are bringing 8 or 9 surfboards with us.
  6. Inland surfer sweet spot

One of the guys in my crews weighs 240 and his favorite board is the Sweet Spot. Just don't try to ride it too far forward as it will pearl.
  7. PO Off Topic High Jack Thread

I love this thread...not to hijack Po, are you any good at talking to people, if you can talk as well as you type you should get into some sort of sales. I am the VP of Sales of a nationwide construction company and some of my sales people make $250k+ per year. My average sales person makes around $120k. They work from sun-up to sun-down and make huge sacrifices to make that kind of money. When I first got into sales I was on the road 300 days a year...just ask my wife. Last year I was only home for 42 days (Avy got less than 30 hrs on her). All I am saying is make some sacrifices to make the kind of money that you want to, whether it be going to school, starting a new job, or working two jobs. "People who want to do something will"
  8. I will still snowboard goofy. I tried to ride the port side switch stance a few times but it just didn't feel right. After riding the port side normal stance for a day I pretty much had it figured out. I still find myself trying to put my feet the goofy way when I am starting in the water and have to remind myself to start regular foot.
  9. Not trying to Po (hi-jack) this thread, but here is what I would do.....learn to ride regular foot. I surfed goofy (starboard) for 3 years and was the only person in my crew that surfed goofy. This meant that we had to do alot of ballst in/out all of the time. This year I decided to learn to ride the port side (toes it, not switch). I can say that is was the best decision that I have made when it comes to surfing. It took me awhile to get used to but now I love it. Having the right board and best wave is the key to really enjoying surfing. Keep in mind I do EVERYTHING left handed (goofy) including snowboarding. The switch to port side riding will be the best one you make!!!
  10. We will be out surfing all day if anyone from the crew sees us make sure you hunt us down. We will have a Comp 1, Thresher, Sweet Spot, and Swallow Quad on the boat today if anyone wants to try out something new. Blue Avy with white tower speaker enclosure.
  11. Yes, it is a Quigley conversion. I bought in sight unseen from a guy in FL and had one of my crew fly down there and drive it back to MN for me. It has 7k miles on it. It is a pretty sweet ride. People are always giving me a thumbs up on the highway and people always want to chat when I am filling with gas. I am not sure on the total height but it doesn't fit in my garage so I will probably store it for the winter.
  12. Since it is not the off-season yet and I might sell the Avy to get an Enzo, I don't think I will be doing any more mods to the Avy. But.....the new tow rig has already began its transformation; Aluminess roof rack (ordered, 4 week wait time) Aluminess ladder (ordered) 7" DVD/CD player in dash w/Sirius satellite Backup camera 10 inch Sub in custom box between front bucket seats (box made to go around 4x4 shift stick) 2000 Watt Power inverter 32" Samsung LCD TV mounted so that it can swing out towards the side door and be watched from lawn chairs sitting outside Sony Play Station 3 for watching movies (I am not a gamer) Rear electric bench seat that folds flat into a bed Most of this should be done next week. I will post pics when it is complete.
  13. Babes in bikinis!

Colombian, I wish I would've been a forum member in 2008...I lived in Roswell, GA for about 12 months for work. My poor Avy only got about 30 hours on it...but I would've hooked up with you in GA. How long into the season do you guys ride there?? My season is getting pretty short up here in MN.
  14. Man, I wish I could make it. My wife is due on Oct. 8th though. Do you think she will be mad if I leave a week before her due date??
  15. LETS SEE YOUR RIDES

Here are a few better pictures of the tow rig. I have a roof rack and side ladder ordered. I am also thinking about going with some new black wheels. I can't go anywhere in it without someone stopping me and asking me questions about it. The pictures don't do it justice. My f150 is lifted and the van makes my truck look tiny.
