  1. Done some research and just need a little help. I have two batteries and picked up a perko switch. I semi understand the principle behind it just want to make sure im hooked up correctly. For reference battery 1 is what i want to start the boat and battery 2 i want to use for evwrything else (accessories, speakers, amp, ect....) On perko switch setting 1 I have the starting battery positive (battery 1) hooked up, on perko switch setting 2 I have the second battery positive hooked up . The common on the perko has the main red cable from motor hooked to it, the main ground from the boat motor is hooked to battery number 1 with a negative cable going from one battery to the other, so far I believe im hooked up properly right?...? Okay so then I get a touch confused, the main circuit panel with all fuses should have the positive and ground ran to which battery? And what I mean is under the passenger seat where my batteries are is a 50 amp disconnect which im assuming is for the fuses, which battery does the positive and negative go wired go to. Any help is appreciated.
  2. I ran it like the two pics provided. The hot water from the front of the motor and then the return I put after the v drive like the pic above and used a gate valve to be able to adjust/restrict the flow for when I'm idling. I hope I hooked it up right. Any comments before I try it tonight? DarkSDR, I am still a little confused on where your return goes?
  3. Total, I appreciate it. Do you happen to know the I.D. of the hose that the y goes in?, I know the small one is 5/8" but what is the bigger hose? DarkSideR - When I went through the other thread I saw your picture. I ran my hot water feed just like your picture below but why do you say port side hose not shown and pointing the the other side of where I tapped in for the hot water? Should the pic only have one hose and then the return is like the picture above in post #3? Thanks for your help guys, I am almost done just want to be sure I am routing this right.
  4. I appreciate it DRKSDR, Just curious though, how come in this pic they returned the hot water back to the exit off the v-drive instead of on the otherside of the housing where you pull the hot water from? Thanks
  5. Boat is an 2008 Elite V C4 with Black Scorpion motor I installed a 3 tube heater this weekend and the install was very easy, but now I am getting myself confused on the hot water plumbing and return. I have searched on CC and have seen a couple different ways people have plumbed this. Where do I pull the hot water from and then where do I return it? I appreciate it and will post up pics of the install once I complete the water routing. Is this where I pull the hot water from? I got this pic from a search
