yep, i am a mech for a living so this sucks to admit. a couple of years ago my tohoe was not pulling right and would not operate at max rpm. it had the 3.0l merc in it. i rebuilt the carb changed the filter, wires, plugs, and even did a compression test. still it ran like a garbage truck couldn't pull anything but a knee board with a child on it. one of my gearhead buddies said did you check the cap, i said no it was runnig fine last weekend. when i pulled the cap there it was the dreaded GREEN FUR!!! I dont know how it didnt ruin the coil too.

Yes, when you clean the corrosion off of the contacts in the cap and rotor botton you have removed material from the metal contacts. also the corrosion is removing material. now you end up with too much space between contacts that the spark has to cross leading to ineffecient ignition spark and loss of power. plus merc engines are notoriously finicky about ignition parts. these parts are cheap and get the part numbers out of the manual and you will be happy happy happy!

Yep, well i really want the duals. i had one center mount in xterra and it caused fights. also adding pads to the ever increasing cell bill is something i want to put off as long as possible. so i spent the money and i will be happier with the clean install, they should be in after new years. It just sucks, I was planning on spending that money on the stargazer and tank buster kit......oh well looks like overtime for me. HAHA!

So, I finally talked the wife into parting with her 2005 xterra with 125k miles on it amd bought a 2012 jeep grand cherokee for her for Christmas. Now being the awsome hubby and dad that i am i decided to add the head rest dvd system to the vehicle. she dropped it off at my freinds shop for the install and he said no problem. today i get a phone call from the shop and well PROBLEM!!!! This dang truck has some kind of airbag system in the head rest and now the price for the system jumps to $ 1400.00. wow is all i can say. i ordered the kit because thats what i wanted and it keeps the kids from MMA fighting on the back seat during long trips. i grew up with metal dashboards, seat belts were optional. Well their saftey is the most important thing. Now if they only had the technology to make me a better wakeboarder............hmmmm.

I ran into this when shopping for my Falcon. i knew the price was to good to be true, so i googled the hull vin number. the boat was listed all over the country. i played him for a little bit and you can tell its a scam when they cant form sentences in english. just imagine what some people could accomplish if they used their time productively instead of trying to screw someone over.

Yea reject, the diaper works pretty well in between sessions when your floating and having a brew. just remember keep you arms down when you slide in off the swim deck. if you panick and raise them it gets the smokes wet LOL. took practice but i got it mastered. My kids came up with the life diaper thing. Thats one of the great things about spending time with my children you never know what they are gonna say!
