Thanks for your help guys, definately didn't want to under power the sub or speakers' so sounds like best thing to do is go with the syn 1 and syn 4. David is a bass reflex enclosure simply a ported box? Sorry if that's a dumb question I'm not a huge stereo guru.

Hey guys re-doing my four interior speakers with Wetsounds. Going with four XS-650 and the XS-XXX. Just wondering what Wetsounds amp with best power this setup. Also if you guys have any pics of your sub boxes under the dash on the drivers side that would be great for referance for building my sub box.

Hey guys family just purchased some lake front property, and was just wondering if any of you guys would have any input on what type of boat lift to go with. Just wondering what brand of lifts guys are using with inboard boats.

Hey guys my swim platform brackets are pooched. I have about 4 to 5 inches of play in the swim platform. If we're just floating in the middle of the lake the platform will bang pretty hard due to the fact the brackets have worn allowing it to move. I have the old style aluminum brackets. Boat was bought new in 2008 anyone else ever had issues with this? Any solutions in mind?

Hey guys have a question. Noticed yesterday on the lake my ballast wasnt filling. Checked all my connections for the ballast puppies, no problems there. Stuck my head under the dash and noticed the main ballast fuse(30 Amp) was blown. I remember when i was doing some cleaning of the interior with the boat on the trailer a few days earlier that I had accidently engaged the ballast swithces. Would the fuse blow to protect the impeller in the ballast puppy?

So thought I had the problem fixed but nope... Anyways getting a "popping" type noise coming from tower speakers when ignition is on(key turned) and when the boats motor is running. Didn't have any issues interference issues with tower speakers before installing EQ. I have all my grounds from both amps, deck and EQ running to same battery. Any ideas on how to get rid of this problem. I'm out of ideas.

One more quick question. Wakedoc will that be (3) W742 and (3)W736 for each fatsac? Sorry might be a stupid question just want to make sure I make the right order. Also if I relocate the drain pump will i need any more 3/4" hosing to relocate it? -
Ballast Install Question
johnw replied to johnw's topic in Centurion Boat Accessories, Electronics and Modifications
Thanks for your help guys sounds like a pretty basic install. Wakedoc what would the reason be for remounting the drain pump in the engine compartment? Is it just so theres no risk of damage to the pump from the weight of the fatsac when full? -
Ballast Install Question
johnw replied to johnw's topic in Centurion Boat Accessories, Electronics and Modifications
Ya I was going to go with the flyhigh brand. It looks like the 1100 would be a bit too big to fit in the locker. It looks like basically all I would have to do is disconnect the fill and drain lines from the tanks and reconnect to the bag? Also other than that connection to remove the bag once installed is there any other aftermarket connections I would need? -
Ballast Install Question

Hey guys looking for some advice on ballast. I have an 08 lightnitng C4 with the stock hard tanks. Looking to swap out my port and starboard tanks for a set of 750lbs. bags. I'm just wondering for the install if it would just be a simple plug and play setup once i remove the hard tanks, or is there quite a bit of modification required? -
Thanks for the help David finally got if figured out today, my installer was able to walk me threw what he thought maybe the problem over the phone, and it actually solved the problem. It was a mixture between a bad ground( just totally rerouted it) and my microphone being at max level, whoops. But its fixed and sounds awsome. Thanks again.

So I finally was able to make it into the stereo shop the other day, without the boat of course. Anyways I explained the problem to the sales guy and he handed me a gound loop isolator? Told me this should take care of all the problems. Looks like all I need to do is plug the rca's running from amp for tower speakers into the isolator and, then plug the isolater into the back of the EQ. Does that sound like it would correct the problem?

David, I honestly did not check too see if the sound, interference, whatever you want to call it was occuring when the just the key was turned to the on postion. As far as I can tell its only when the engine its self is running. When the engine is off and I simply have the stereo power switch on It sounds perfect. Could it be as simple as the installer grounding the EQ to a different battery than the rest of my stereo stuff.
