  1. I 100% agree with PayCheck on this. When I got my boat the glovebox lid was broken. The dealer fixed it with the metal spring that PayCheck linked above. Has worked great so far.
  2. I was in the same situation last year (happened at the beginning of the season) and didn't notice any steering difference all summer.
  3. Does anybody know where I can get replacement lettering for the chrome Centurion lettering on the side of my boat? Boat is a 2009 Cyclone (Falcon V). The lettering has a chrome appearance and seems to be stuck on by some type of tape/adhesive on the back. The C in Centurion got mangled neared the end of last season when the water level was low in my lake and the boat swung a little to much and knocked against the under side of the slip as I was pulling it into my boat house. Here are some pics about what I am talking about. Thanks in advance for the help. Add to Post Add to Post
  4. Centurion Skier - I tried your method today and it worked great. I checked and I definitely got antifreeze into the ballast tanks and therefor the pumps that pump the tanks out. I have a question and apologize in advance if its a dumb one (This is my first winter with the boat so I want to make sure I winterize the ballast/pump system correctly) . I am assuming that pouring antifreeze into the pump out fittings on the side of the boat doesn't get antifreeze into the pumps that fill the tanks, correct? My boat has a Jabsco water puppy on each side to fill the tanks and a Johnson aerator pump on each side to empty the tanks. Do I need to worry about getting antifreeze in the Jabsco water puppies?
  5. Thanks for the great feedback from everyone. So, it sounds like for a little bit more money/effort I can get a much better wave. Putting all the recommendations together it sounds like the best bet would be to get an 1100 for the rear locker and two 400's to move around on the seats to get the best wave. KnuckleDragger - thanks for the info on measuring the tanks to determine volume/weight. I hadn't thought about that before and have been wondering what the weight is so now I will finally be able to solve the mystery. So, a final question for everybody. We will wakeboard just as much as we surf. If I swap out the hard tank in the rear locker on the port side for a sac and then partially fill the sac for wakeboarding does the water slosh around in the unfilled sac? If so, should I be worried about that in any way?
  6. The goal of my ballast upgrade is to upgrade my ballast without sinking a ton of money into the project initially. I started wakesurfing for the first time this summer and definitely like it, but my stock ballast just doesn't kick enough of a wave for us to drop the rope. I would like to add enough additional ballast to get enough wave for us to drop the rope but I am not ready to completely overhaul the existing ballast set up at this point. I basically need to fall in love with wakesurfing before I can rationalize going all out on the ballasts system redesign/enhancement. I have a 2009 Cyclone C4 with the stock quad ballast (a large tank in each locker, and a smaller tank under the seat on each side). For those not familiar, the 2009 Cyclone is essentially a Falcon V that just says Cyclone on the side of it. I can't find any documentation anywhere about exactly how much weight the stock ballast is but my guesstimate is that each tank under the seat is around 50 to 100 lbs and the rear locker tanks are 250 to 300 lbs. This is a total guess; I may be completely off on the weight of the stock ballast and would love if anybody has any input on exactly how much weight the quad ballast holds. The stock ballast in the rear locker takes up about 60% of the rear locker space, so from looking at the fat sac options and measuring the available space in the lockers I don't think I have any options to add additional soft ballast in the rear lockers. So, this long description has led up to my main question: If I get a typhoon pump and throw a Pro X Series Ultimate Wake Surf Sac (1150 lbs) on the seat, would that be enough ballast to get a decent enough wave to surf without the rope? (http://www.centurion...-wake-surf-sac/). I understand that the ballast on the seat would take up space and all that good stuff, but not as worried about the space issue because I typically am out with a small group in my boat (4 to 6 people). I have read a lot of the ballast threads for Falcons on here and when I am ready to do a "finished" upgrade I am definitely going to use KnuckleDraggers post and related blog as input around design, but I am not able to do the full upgrade (new pumps, multiple sacs, etc) at this point: (http://www.centurion...stall-complete/) Would love any feedback/thoughts anyone has. Thanks in advance for everybody's input.
  7. Thanks for the feedback guys. This is my first winter with the boat and I had not heard much about the heaters until a friend had mentioned them to me. I agree the risk of power outage and the damage that could be done due to that outweighs the cost/effort of winterization. Thanks again for the feedback. I guess I need to move to a warmer climate so I can wakeboard and surf year round
  8. Does anyone have experience with thermostat controlled heaters for keeping the engine compartment above freezing temps during the winter? I have been looking at Boatsafe engine compartment heaters specifically. I am interested to hear if others have feedback or an opinion on whether doing something like this is a good or bad idea. Thanks in advance for everybody's feedback/input. My primary interest in them is: An alternative to the cost of paying someone to winterize my boat or the hassle of doing it myself Not winterizing it allows me to use the boat on random warm days during the winter (note: I live on Lake Anna in Virginia which is "heated" by a nuclear power plant so the water temperature is much warmer than a normal lake and makes wakeboarding and surfing in cold air temps more realistic Couple other things to note: The boat would stay on a covered boathouse lift but because of the way the sun shines the engine compartment would get sun shining on it for almost 6 hours a day even on the shortest days of the year The neighborhood we are in has buried power lines so the chance of losing power is VERY slim during the winter This link shows the average temps: http://www.average-t...temps/VA/Louisa. Essentially "on average" it doesn't stay below freezing but you can see that if there is a stretch of cold weather it can get into the mid to low 20's during December, January, or February.
  9. Anybody have a picture of what the red looks like in the water?
  10. I have a similar issue, but it's more of a whistling sound. Happens right after I take it out of neutral and goes away when I increase RPM's. Interested to hear if this has happened to others and if so what the cause was.
  11. New Music

Not sure if you guys like mash ups or not but this guy (Girl Talk) is awesome. Nobody else like him that I have heard. This is the opening song to his latest album. You can download his albums here for free: http://illegal-art.net/girltalk/ The "All Day" album and "Feed the Animals" are the best two.
  12. Thanks for the feedback guys. How quickly do the 5 gallon quick cans empty as compared to a regular 5 gallon can?
  13. My boat is kept primarily at my parent's house which is on a private lake with no marina to drive the boat up to and purchase gas from. I keep the boat on a lift and don't take it in and out of the water every time I use it. My options for gassing up now are to either take the boat out of the water and drive up to the gas station or use multiple 5 gallon gas cans to fill it up. Both are time consuming and neither are that enjoyable. Is anybody in a similar situation? If so, any recommendations about portable gas cans for large amounts of gas? I have seen them from 14 gallons all they way to 30+ gallons but all have mixed reviews. I wanted see if anybody had any experience with those types of products. Any recommendations or thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for the help.
  14. Need Advice - 2009 Cyclone C4

I can't remember the full history of the cyclone but I do remember that it has changed over the years. I think there is a thread on here somewhere that talks about the background of it. I will see if I can find it. For the 2009 model I got it's basically a dressed up version of the Falcon V with ability for more options than the Falcon V typically came with. The plate on the inside of the boat that shows the occupancy limit of the boat actually lists the model of the boat as a Falcon V, so for 2009 the Cyclone is basically a Falcon V with a Cyclone label on the outside.
  15. Need Advice - 2009 Cyclone C4

I ended up picking up the Cyclone this past week. Promptly took it in for a stereo upgrade (Icon8's on the tower and a WetSounds 12" in the footwell). Stereo sounds great. I have to wait until next weekend to put in the water due to some travel for work. Can't wait!!! I ended up deciding the smaller size wasn't an issue as it will primarily be at my parents house and the lake isn't super huge so if I ever have a ton of people we can use their pontoon boat as a people mover.
