  1. I have been working on getting a maximus through my dealer and Centurion has came back and finally said NO that the footprint of the Maximus tower will not fit my boat
  2. Thanks, I will check into that and see if its still under warrantee
  3. My sub will do this from time to time. It always takes like a second but sometimes it takes a couple minutes to kick in. Any more thoughts? I have checked all the connections even took it apart and looked at everything.
  4. Did you ever find out if you could replace the gladiator tower with the Maximus tower. I was wanting to do the same thing. I have 2013 Enzo Sv230
  5. No tubing ever from the tower. Trailer back and forth from lake, short drive. Just wakeboard and surf.
  6. Well I had my second tower break in the same spot. I was wondering if anyone has had any problems with the Aegis Tower ? Or if it would even bolt up to my boat. I know the spacing of the Gladiator tower is 9.5 inches. I wonder if the Aegis is the same. I have also seen on here where the Aegis tower has a wobble ? wonder if the Maximus tower would fit?
  7. i have been having this problem with my micro touch. 2013 sv230 the screen will flash back and forth between rpm and mph , and the ballast will open and close. my solution is to set it and change to the home screen, but is really annoying. would like to know the fix It doesn't always happen kind of hit and miss
  8. Same thing happened to my tower. It happened on memorial day and took almost 6 weeks to get one from centurion. So that makes at least 5. I hope that my new one does not have this same problem! BTW the boat only had 35 hrs. It was in the exact same spot starboard above the board rack below the speaker mount
  9. I had this same exact problem that you described. I was so mad and called the dealership where i bought it. Turns out that that is a safety system. When you go to the second screen to set your speed the numbers are green. Say your speed is 10.5. You think cool thats what speed i want and just turn cruise on by pushing at the bottom and it turns yellow. If you hit the throttle it will take off but then bog down. The cruise even though it is "Turned ON" is not set. You actually have to push up or down to change the speed. Once the speed changes from green to white then the speed is "Set". Now your good to go. This has to be done everytime you turn the boat on and off.
  10. I finally discovered the problem with my Avy. So when hooked up to the computer it showed that the IAC was working fine, but i still had all the symptoms. So i take the intake manifold off. After doing this I remove the IAC valve and there is a piece of foam stuck in where it attaches to the motor. I had read online that this is the IAC muffler. So this was dirty hard and there was no way that air was passing through this thing. Took it out and the boat is running perfect. If i had just took the IAC valve off I would have not been able to see this piece stuck in there, but by taking the manifold off I was able to see it and fix the problem. I hope this can help someone along the way. So even if it appears that your IAC valve is working but are still having issues that point to it you might want to check the IAC muffler.

  12. IAC Valve Help?!

If you are looking at the motor from the seat it will be on the right side. It's under the intake manifold. It's about in the middle. You can stand on your head and see it. You should be able to feel it if you run your hand under the black manifold
  13. Im starting a new thread on this topic because i have seen several people post about this but no one has ever came back and said YES this is what fixed my problem. I have a 07 Avy 5.7 liter black scorpion Not showing any codes on the computer One day the boat died after surfing. Start back up no problem. Does it again when returning to idle position . So what i have found is that the boat will die after going from a throttled up position back to neutral. Here is a list of things already done. There has been some improvement but still will die. ESPECIALLY when throttling up and going back down to neutral. (like when you would be putting the boat on the trailer) AND i have noticed that it starts to fall off as soon as the V-DRIVE LIGHT comes ON. If i have the boat in gear but under the 1200 rpm so the light stays on i can go back and forth from neutral, but as soon as i go over the 1200 rpm and back it will die. Diagnosed with low fuel pressure 34-35 psi Changed low pressure fuel pump and high-pressure fuel pump and fuel pump regulator Running about 40 psi now. THere was improvement, but the more it runs seems like the worse it gets The IAC valve was replaced at the beginning of the year, and it shows it running when hooked up to the computer. I THINK this may not be working properly. (bad part?) Does anyone have any thoughts on this I read that a blown intake gasket or a throttle body gasket could produce same symptoms. Distributer cap and rotor look fine. Also replaced at the beginning of the year. After taking off the Throttle body there was a lot of oil present. Could this be due bad PCV valves these have not been replaced. Looked at vacuum hoses could not see anything out of the ordinary. I feel like it is a air problem at this point in time. Since all of the fuel system has been replaced. I am thinking either blown gaskets or some type of vacuum leak? MAP Sensor? Throttle Position sensor? Please Help!!!!
  14. So. I have replaced the fuel pump, high pressure fuel pump and the fuel regulator. And it is still dying when returning to idle. I don't think it is vapor locking. Tomorrow I'm going to check and see if the intake manifold gasket is blown and check all vacuum hoses. I have read that these things can give same symptoms as an IAC valve. I may just replace that to just for good measure
  15. so it wasnt the IAC valve. I took it to the mechanic. The fuel pressure was low about 35psi. Changed the low pressure fuel pump and no change. Then after he talked to mercruiser, We replaced the high pressure fuel pump. This pump was like $400 and the labor was about the same, apparently its on the bottom of the motor and a b*tch to get too. Anyways the fuel pressure went up to about 45 psi. The boat seems to be running better but it still is shutting off when going to neutral. But now it seems to do it when i go from about 8-9 mph to neutral or from a hard reverse to neutral. He says it might be the regulator. going to take it back this week and see if this is the problem skibumm I have an 07 Avy with the 5.7L mercruiser black scorpion What about this vapor locking? Can you tell me more about this?
