  2. bindings

I have CWB Zeus bindings. I love those bindings. They are stiff and wide enough for my EEE foot. Feels a lot like a snowboard boot. Can find them between $120 - $140 (boardersmall) depending on the day. I have the 08's which I paid $350, just bought a second pair 09's for $125 on boardersmall.
  3. Warranty issues?

Odd for me too. I have not had any problems with my dealer (Galleon Marine) or Centurion with any of my warranty issues. Centurion has even sent me a part for free which I cracked off by mistake - potentiometer (forgive the spelling) - the small dial that fine tunes the speedo. The part was only available from Faria with a speedo. Trish at Galleon called Shell looking for the part. No luck it is only part of a package - but Shell said she would have someone have a look around the shop floor. Less than two weeks later, without any warning it arrived via courier. Of course, I have also had other work done at the dealer, some warranty and some maintenance. All of the interactions thus far have been positive and I have nothing but good things to say about Centurion and my dealer.
  4. WS-420

Very nice. Thanks everyone for the ideas. Looks like I have added another item on my spring project to do list. The circular LED rings are also very cool. Went on the Earmark website and saw them there for the radio remotes.
  5. WS-420

Darn it. Bought it not that long ago (1.5 years ago) in Canada. Looks like the dealer was trying to get rid of old stock. On my WS420 the front plate is practically flush with the top and bottom of chassis. I am not familiar enough with the evolution of the WS-420. I imagine there have been a number of changes over the years.
  6. WS-420

Installed mine last year. Put it on it's side under the stereo - on the left side of the helm. I hate the way it looks there and was trying to find somewhere to put it so it would have more of a factory installed vibe. I played around with moving the ignition and putting it there, putting the stereo in the glove box and then wiring a stereo remote and the WS420 to the helm, or re-doing the rocker switch panel on the right side and moving a bunch of the switches. None of the methods were super clean. The other really frustrating part is that there is absolutely no lip on the top or bottom frontplate of the WS420 so what ever you are cutting for it to fit into (like a dash) you do you need to be extremely precise or it will look like a hatchet job. As a result, I am also still looking for ideas on how to install a WS-420 and get it to look "factory".

I had a look at the design video on YouTube. Wow. That is an awesome design. Like the quick disconnect and the ability to spin the speakers. Right now I have four skylons on the tower and it would be nice to be able to spin one or two for the folks at the front of the boat when parked. With four speakers on the tower it attracts attention from thieves not only because of the speakers but because they know you also have amps for the speakers. Being able to remove the speakers - without the speaker wires dangling looks clean and much less attractive to a thief looking for a quick buck. Right now my Skylons stay on all season. I add a second oversized cover which I bring up over the tower to cover the speakers during the summer months. It also helps keep the speakers out of the weather. Being able to remove the speakers would be soooooo much easier. Anyone interested in buying two pair of Skylon Rubicon 325's??? Awesome speaker. HLCD. Evolution mounts. $600.00 per pair. Damn. Would my wife notice if I swapped out the speakers???
  8. DarksideR, No need to winterize yet. Buy a drysuit. Got at least another couple of weeks left.
  9. Breakwater is at the same location as the old Olympic Boat Center. I believe some of the old Olympic employees started Breakwater. A couple of Galleon employees jumped ship and went to work at Breakwater. Galleon used to sell primarily Four Winns but could not get stock. Parent company was reorganizing. The Galleon showroom is now full of Bayliners. Not sure how many tournament boats Galleon used to sell but there cannot be a need for two Centurion dealerships within a 30 minute drive.

  11. Canadian Rollcall Eh?

Lake Sammish is to the right on the I-5 heading south. Lake Whatcom is to the east but close. It is a much larger lake.
  12. Canadian Rollcall Eh?

I live in Langley BC. Own a campsite at Whatcom Meadows which is between Bellingham, WA and Burlington, WA. From home it takes about 75 minutes to get to the campsite. From the campsite it is a five minute drive to the boat launch at the south end of Lake Whatcom. The boat is at the campsite from March to October. Dry suits early and late in the season and wet suits for the remainder. Great spot for kids.

  14. I followed the instructions and it works great. One question however, do you have a shut-off valve (factory installed??) on your freshwater intake. On my 08 Avalanche there is no valve on the intake so when I hook up the garden hose and start the water all of the water exits through the intake at the bottom of the boat. When I start the boat then amount of water exiting the intake is significantly less and I am getting water coming out through the exhaust. I am considering adding another valve to block off the intake just to be safe - when using the hose. Any thoughts?
  15. Here is the latest copy of the service manual (Number 31: 5.0L/5.7L/6.2L MPI Gasoline Engine, Year 2001) I could find online. It is a few years old. Hope it helps. Mercruiser_Service_Manual.pdf
