  1. I am thinking of building some racks for all my gear in my garage. I have seen some ideas with PVC etc. on other sites and was curious what my fellow Centurioncrew members have come up with. Any pictures and supply lists would be awesome. Thanks
  2. Canadian Rollcall Eh?

Fresh Fish I love that shot that you use as your avatar. I would kill to have a shot like that with my boat since I spent 2 years flying the CT-114 Tutor in Moose Jaw and also grew up in Penticton as well. I am at Lake Whatcom with dsw as well. Great lake, deep, clean, however, a bit cold as he mentioned at the start and end of the season. Would be nice to see a few more Centurion to help out muscle those Bu boys.
  3. Bigcatpt I'm not sure if I am more jealous of you garage setup of the fact that you can back your boat in straight. Mine has to sit on angle. Thanks for the photos for ideas. P.S How may kids do you have? Quite a clan by the sight of all those life jackets!
  4. I was wondering if anyone has the fancy silver throttle knob on their boat. I just have the plain round black style. I have found one for sale online and wondering if anyone could confirm that it is a throttle knob or if not then what it is. Here is the description: I am selling a Centurion boat handle knob. It is silver in color, and is new out of the box. It has a removeable top the screws on and off. It measures a little under 2" wide and 1 1/4" tall. I am selling a pair Thanks
  5. CDSV230 Thanks again. It arrived last week , polished it up and it looks great. I thought I would send a photo. I now officially have some boat "BLING".
  6. I was driving my friends Malibu (mechanical) the other day and couldn't belive how smooth and easy the throttle lever moved. The one on my Centurion is alot stiffer and not as smooth. I was wondering if maybe there is an adjustment I can make or maybe I need to lub the cable. I looked at the cable and it looks fine, no binding etc.
  7. brentwerst Look at your engine and if you have a clear hose that runs off the top water hose and down to the shaft it is a dripless type.
  8. I am finally going to install an oil drain hose during my next oil change. I can't wait because I find changing the oil not hard but rather a large pain in the butt on these boats. I ws curious if anyone has done this mod and has any tips about how to catch the remainng oil when I undo the plug. I was thinking obviously about sucking as much out as I can via a pump, but loking for any tips to limit the mess whn I remove the drain plug. I am also wondering what are the crew's view on the best oil extration pumps. I am need of a new one and will require it for the tranny fluid changes in the future anyhow. I tried a friends Pella but found that I couldn't get the hose all the way to the pan via the dipstick. Would be great to get the views of fellow crew members. Thanks
  9. Try Monster Tower. They have a great mirrior and bracket that will fit any size round tower legs. They come with a full set of plastic inserts to protect your tower and get a great tight fit. www.monstertower.com
  10. Poor FM Reception

David I-pod touch takes a special style of plug and will not play on it. I have been kicking around the idea of removing the satellite radio mount and installing an I-pod docking station to the. I have an ipod touch and the plug you need is about $2. It is just an adapter which plugs into the headphone jack that allows you to use any headphones or aux type plug. Apparently the headphone jack on the ipod touch or iphone has a reversed polarity so people only use their headphones.
  11. I have an 06 Elite Bowrider with the Merc BS 330 and I am around the 50 hr mark. If possible could someone please post the list of serial numbers that may be affected. Also, is the loud ticking sound quite obvious?
  12. I just thought that I would pass on that I purchased a PP wakeboard pro for Centurion from this same ebay seller. It works great, brand new, everything in the original box and had very quick shipping. I think that they must have bought the stock of a dealer that went out of buisness. It has been a great addition to my boat.
  13. I placed my master module down under the helm to the left of my knees. My boat had about a six inch piecec of wood fibre-glassed in there to mount stuff to. It wasn't wasn't wide enough so I just screwed a piece of wood to it that was wide enough for the master module. Works great.
  14. Well my system finally arrived and I installed it this week. It was fairly straight forward on my 2006 Elite Bowrider direct drive as far as the wiring went. I pulled the hour meter that was installed in the right hand guage spot and the wiring was all there, grey ( RPM), grey/black ( speed), purple ignition), and black (ground) all with nice butt ends for the Perfect Pass wires to attach. When I was down under the helm I also found a spare purple ignition wire which allowed me to relocate my hour meter just to the right of the stering wheel. I found what took the most time was getting the linkage to line up. It was a real chore to get it to all line up proper. I also found that I would keep failing the " linkage test" in the instructions. I called PP and they explained to me that it sounds like my return spring is weak or maybe the cable is binding. I decided to lube up the cable and after that it worked like a charm. I guess due to the fact my kit was new but sitting for a couple of years it was a bit siezed up. Anyhow works great now. All I can say is if you have a black scorpion like myself make sure you get the throttle extension braket with your kit it will make the line up much easier. I do believe the speed is a bit off because it seems to indicate about 3 mph higher when I am at my ski or board speed , however, I will take the GPS with me next time and calibrate it. All and all very happy with it and it was nice top get a brand new Centurion OEM Perfect Pass Wakeboard Pro 6.5 NG for $650.00. Gotta love Ebay.
  15. I know that the majority of the Centurion owners on this site are boarders and surfers however, for the Alberta contingent you have a great opportunity this summer. The 2009 Waterski Worlds are coming to Calgary this Aug. at Predetor Bay. If you get a chance check it out because these guys are amazing. I am out in Vancouver and am trying to work out the details to come and check it out. Here's the link http://www.waterskiworlds.com/ P.S You may even get the bug to haul that old ski out of the garage go for a rip and relive the old days. Skiing is making a come back you know!
  16. Great thread as I as well just picked up a Perfect Pass Wakeboard Pro 6.5 NG. Got a great deal Centurion OEM setup never installed. Can't wait to put it in. I just have to wait a week or so for it to arrive. I was hoping that maybe someone has installed the Centurion OEM version as an add-on to their boat. I believe this is the same kit that the dealer would order or the factory installs as an option. I have a 2006 Air Warrior Direct Drive 330 hp Black Scorpion. From what I have read so far the mechanical stuff looks very straight forward. My main questions are guage locations and wiring. 1) I have seen similar boats that have the PP display located in the blank guage slot on the far right and still use their Faria cc series main guages. At present I have my hour meter in this location but will have to move it elsewhere (possibly drill a hole lower on the helm, any ideas would be great). I want to keep these guages. 2) Another question I have is about the wiring. I remember hearing that Centurion had pretty much pre-wired for the PP at the factory because it was an option and made for easy instalation. i'e plug and play with paddle wheel etc. I also read on the PP site that certain boat kits come with adapters for the power, rpm, etc. Any help would be great Here is the kit I bought
  17. I was wondering if anyone knows where I can buy a couple of vehicle window stickers. I saw the 20"x 4" on the Centurion website, however, I have seen some smaller ones approx 12" x 2". I have also seen some Centurion stickers on Ebay but would like to get some that also say "World Championship Towboats" Thanks
  18. I have a Dodge Durango and after I launched my buddy's boat the other day my truck was running quite rough and seemed to want to stall. Anyhow, I have launched mine before withou any issue. My exhaust pipe is in the water (running of course) for both mine and his. I may have been in a few extra minutes with his than I am with mine. Has anyone else had this type of thing and if so should I be reving up my truck to clear the exhaust after I pull out from the water as a standard practice? Any advice would be great as it kind of suprised me so maybe I have just been lucky.
  19. Yes, I did get the check engine light as it started to run rough and almost stall. I stopped and reved it up a few times and the light went out and it ran okay. haven't had the light since. Could be just an O2 sensor getting wet.
  20. 2009 Waterski Worlds in Calgary

Spur Valley Surfer I am so jealous. You gotta stop by and watch guys like Marcus Brown, Trent Finlyson (Canadian) and Chris Parish rip it up. The jumping is pretty cool as well.
  21. HSE Volume Control unit

JoeB Iwas looking at the photos from your first post and am curious about your sub. I am putting one in mine and have a few questions. Are you happy with the Boss product? When you installed the sub did you build a box or just install it on the fibreglass kick plate and if so is there a box in behind it. Thanks
  22. Merry Christmas Everyone...

Spur Valley Gotta love Canadian springs. I was just in Edmonton a few days ago and 23c / 76f. I am curious if there are a contingent of you guys heading to The Worlds ( waterskiing) in Calgary in July.
  23. New Boat & Regi numbers

IROCNparts I used "Domed Numbers" for my boat reg. numbers. The font she used was called Porshe ( like the car). Anyhow, it looks exactly like the Centurion World Champ Towboat font. I believe the website was www. domednumbers.com
  24. Want to add a sub

I have a 2006 Elite Bowrider DD which came with quite a nice stereo system (Kenwood Excelon - HU, 4 ch amp, 8 speakers), however, I think a sub would be a nice way to finish it off and enrich the sound. I intially thought that I could just run a sub off the amp I have but was told it is maxed out with the 8 speakers. I guess my options are buy another amp and sub or buy a powered sub. I was also told that it would be quite an easy install to go the powered route because I have a couple of RCA sub pre-outs on my HU and then just a simple wiring of the power to the battery. I think that I am leaning this way because I am just not sure where I could stuff a second amp without hurting my storage space ( always a premium on a boat). I have seen a couple of tube options but was wondering if anyone can pass on some ideas of good powered sub options for a boat. Also any photos or ideas of the best places to mount it as well. Thanks
  25. Boat Launch Etiquette

We ski and board at 6 am until about 10 am. No yahoos at the launch and the best water to boot. I have found that my aggrivation is curbed considerably when I plan not to be there during the pleaure boater's hours. Hit it early and stay late!
