  1. Duramat Thanks for the great video and idea. I built something similar and tried it today using my fake-a lake. It worked well except I will shorten the hose from the "Y" to the fake a lake. Mine was quite long and as a result I don't think the impeller was able to pull it at a fast enough rate because the temp did creep up to 185 as I was nearing the end of the bucket of A/F. I turned it off before any alarm or warning and I am quite sure it wasn't a big deal. Thinking about it after I figure it would work better if the hose was a constant descent from the bucket to the "Y" to the fake a lake, hence no need to suck the A/F up hill. Tomorrow pull the plugs and spray a little storage spray in each cylinder as I turn the fly wheel and then off to storage.
  2. Holzy22 Sorry to hear it is that hard. I have a direct drive and it is very easy to get at. I may have a small wake but at least the maintenance is easy.
  3. Holzy22 I have removed the impeller in the past and given it a quick spray with WD40 and then stored it in a sealed plastic bag for the winter. It just keeps it from getting brittle. The last few years I have kept the impeller in and just put in a new one each spring.
  4. Just to add my 2 cents: I live near Vancouver and I always have filled it with AF and I do this because of corossion. My process is : 1. Run it up and change oil and filter 2. Drain via the blue plugs 3. Remove the hoses from the heater and blow out any water from both directions. 4. Use a bucket full of Eco RV-AF ( about 4 gallons) , attach it to my fake a lake and run the boat to suck it through. Pink out the back means done. 5. Then remove the highest hose on water circ pump and use it to top the block up with AF 6. Remove spark plugs and spray a squirt on storage spray in each cylinder while turning the fly wheel with a wrench, replace the plugs 7. Seal the flame arrestor/ air cleaner with a plastic bag 8. Pump some AF into the ballast tank and then pump it out to make sure AF in the pumps Done
  5. Off Season Fitness Challenge

I'm in to the fitness challenge as well. I swear by the P90X. I love the workouts, however, like all fitness programs it is the diet that is the real difference maker. The way I look at it is that if it wasn't a food people ate 100 years ago: DON'T EAT IT!
  6. Thanks for the info. I don't trailer my boat that far each year. I take it about an hour to the lake and it sits there all year and just goes in and out of the lake each weekend. I think I'll do the outer bearings before I bring it home and then next year when the boat is in my slip I'll re-pack. Can't believe I have to bring the girl home and put her to bed for the season. Well off to Canadian Tire for some stabilizer and anti-freeze. Thanks again
  7. Great looking boat, although I think Centurion should build an open bow version. We Centurion skiers are dying for a challenger to the Response LXI and the Mastercraft Prostar 197. Due to having a few kids I just can't see myself buying a closed bow. I also couldn't help notice the back board located in the boat. At first I thought it was just for the demo boat, however, I still see it in there on the one for sale. One look at that and there is no way my wife will let me tow the kids! Can't wait to see the carbon Pro at the next bat show.
  8. Font for Centurion

I used domed numbers and they used the Porsche font to replicate the Centurion font.
  9. I must say that sucks. I am glad to hear that insurance is going to cover it. I am always ribbed at our campsite for my "boat lock OCD". I use a wheel lock, a master coupler lock, a large padlock thru the coupler release and a trailer pin lock thru my removable tongue. My theory is unless you have a crane truck, good luck because you'll be there awhile. And if you don't believe I have OCD I also lock my hitch receiver to the truck as well. This is what I use P.S I also lock my boat at our dock as well. Last year I was reading the fine print of the insurance policy and it stated that if the boat is not behind a locked gate or attached to some type of locking device it's not covered for theft. Fairly simple, large chain and massive padlock at the dock. Stops the thieves from just untying and towing it away from the dock in the dark.
  10. Looks awesome, however, I think they better come up with an open bow version like Nautique did. They did it with no increase in weight and the wake is the same. I am a die hard skier, however, with a family I need an open bow.
  11. Wondering if anyone has used this lake and has any advice or opinion. May try it out next weekend. Any feedback would be great.
  12. Finally got the boat out on the lake this weekend and had a couple of issues. The first was that after 10 min or so it started running like crap. It ran ran but during acceleration seemed to have some hesitations. My feeling is that my fuel -water separator filter is clogged. Maybe got some water in the tank. Anyhow, didn't have the correct wrench so I will change that next week. I believe I also have an inline fuel filter under the floor. I was wondering if anyone knows the part number for this as I will change it as well. I am also curious what the proper running temp is for a 330 Black Scorpion. Mine runs at speed 175 and at idle drops to about 170. It never goes above the 175 mark on the gauge. I am just curious because my Malibu buddies all felt it should run about 160. Any Black Scorpion experts out there know what it should run at and do I need to get a new thermostat? Thanks
  13. Heading down to the lake this weekend so I'll measure and see how much clearance I have. The thing is the transom of my boat is not flat. It comes in at the lower portion of the transom where the exhaust is.
  14. T5Comp Thanks for the info. I have seen some of these being installed by fellow Centurion Crew members, however, they are all installing on v-drives. I believe that my transom depth is quite a bit less. I am curious what size plate you have and how long the actuator is so it can fit below the swim grid. Also if anyone else has the measurements of the height of the plate and acuator it would be great. Thanks
  15. I have a 2006 Elite Bowrider Air Warrior with the Skyon Swoop Tower. I am looking at a new cover and the guy said he has made one for a 2005 with the Skylon Extreme tower. If someone has the Extreme tower on their boat I would love to see a photo so I can compare with mine to see if the legs are mounted in the same places. I'm just not sure of the differences in the towers. I know that I have almost rectangle cross members that make finding racks a pain.
  16. LETS SEE YOUR RIDES

Canada Jason I like the lime green and I'm sure it looks sharp on the water. I was curious where you do your boating. We have a travel trailer as well at a permanent spot with a deck etc. I have to rebuild my deck and awning next year and actually really liked your set up with the shed in the back etc. Always need more room to store more gear! Just wondering if you are in the Shuswap Lake or the Okanagan area.
  17. Hatzic2010 Thanks for the info. I ended up buying a new cap at Breakwater just because it was quick. The next one will be at Lordco. Please pass on the part numbers. I boat almost totally at Lake Whatcom near Bellingham.
  18. Trailer Guides

Wakedoc All I can say is "God Bless Texas" in you just hoping to catch the guy. In Canada if we took matters into our own hands we would be charged with endangering the thief and then told it is our fault because we left them unlocked!! P.S Great weather FINALLY, 88F, hit it hard today on Lake Whatcom
  19. ishmoo I would suspect a guage error. I believe it was a sending unit then the warning would sound because the boat would think it doesn't have any oil pressure. This is how my old boat worked and is a precaution so you don't start it. The same as if you turn the key on and don't go all the way to start, after a while the warning will sound. Just a guess.
  20. My 2006 had the same issue. They must have come loose after time because a couple of years ago after a few days on the water and keeping the boat at the dock the bilge pump would always come on. hauled it out and thought water must be leaking in around a fitting etc. After further investigation found the exhaust hose had come loose from the fiberglass pipe so when you shut down the water drained into the bilge. I check these every year now!
  21. Audioonly101 You nailed it! I changed all the fuel filter took it out and it still had the issue. I had a few buddies out on the lake and the mentioned my boat sounded like " I was shooting ducks". I thought it could be plugs or the cap and rotor. Since I didn't have any new plugs with me I thought what the heck pop the cap off. (Crappy screws from the factory by the way, I'm still not sure if they are phillips or just flat heads?) Anyhow, took it off and BINGO, the rotor was and the points on the cap were corroded. A little sand paper, put it back together and I must say she runs like a dream. I did wreck the gasket on the cap, and was wondering if anyone knows if I can buy just the gasket, or if I have to buy a whole new cap? If it is a new cap I was wondering if anyone knows the part number by chance so I can order one? Also, any harm in getting an auto one via cross reference? Thanks again
  22. One word WILEY'S www.wileyski.com When you see the location you'll understand that the prices are low because the overhead is low. Only place to buy any watersports gear.
  23. Spur Valley Thanks alot for the link, it really cleared up what I need to get. I just called he new Centurion dealer in Vancouver (Breakwater Marine) and they have all the parts. I will buy the filter and barb connectors as they said I can return what I don't need. Are you guys up and running in Alberta yet or has you spring been as brutal weather wise as ours? Thanks again and I'll bookmark that parts site.
  24. Wow, looks awesome, it must be nice to live in a climate where you can pull that around and not have to wash it everyday.
  25. It is a new impeller that I just put in. Again just wondering why if the engine calls for a 160F are we all running at 175F? I am also wondering if anyone can help me with the inline fuel filter. I am planning on changing it this week, however, the boat is down at the lake. I haven't looked at the filter and was wondering what type it is? Is it a filter with fuel hose barbs, or does it have threaded ends (sort of like it shows in the Merc owners manual)? If some one had a photo that would be awesome. This way I can pick one up on my way down. Thanks again
