Hey y’all what’s the best batteries to get for starting my boat and running stereo I’ve read about size/class 29,31 and I know I need to start charging after each outing. But I’ve been having problems with batteries. I tried blue top optima and looking back it probably wasn’t the batteries fault it didn’t seem to last as long as I thought it should but my lack of maintenance such as charging. I can get more details but all I know at the moment is I have two batteries, 2 amps, a sub , and Roswell tower speakers that spin Do I need deep cycling or starting or dual purpose and does both batteries need to be the same? help me out please

It is a pcm Excalibur 330 possibly the boat actually belongs to my brother so I can’t reme for sure. I know it currently has two batteries and has had for the last approximately 8 years he has owned it but as far as the switch and stuff I’m really not sure as I’ve never personally messed with the switch. I took batteries out and put batteries in but kept everything the way it was and didn’t trace any wires or look for switches. I can try to get more info on the setup but may be a few days. Hey guys I'm wanting to put some tower speakers on my 2007 Elite V I really like the Roswell Spin Vamp Pro because of the ability to point the speakers down into the boat and other directions. Anyone know of any good deals on them or can I get some suggestions on comparable tower speakers

I will have to check the part number for the sub so you can figure out what you was saying about the ohms. As far as my battery setup goes I just have one battery and I'm figuring it is the standard setup for a stock boat. I knew I would get the ground directly from the battery and guessing I could run the power or B+ to the positive battery post with some pretty heavy wire such as 4ga and an inline fuse (not sure the amperage of this fuse) am I way off on this. Should I put a disconnect I between so that it doesn't drain my batter while sitting or would it even matter? You guys are really helpful with stuff on here buti think we forget sometimes that on the other side of the computer is some redneck with a case of brew scratching his head saying what the heck did he just say so hopefully you don't get to frustrated when we ask the same question 10 times we just trying to figure it out. English??? And still no answer if I can hook it up like it would be hooked up in a Honda Civic or would it be different. Sorry I'm an idiot when it comes to that stuff. Compacitors mother boards and electrons confuse the heck out of me but put some bearings lockouts and gears into it and I'm good to go.

I've never done it but I think it will be hard to stick it to the aluminum. I talked to my local spray in guy who is a good friend and he said it could be done but he wouldn't do it. I kinda worry that even though the line x stuff is textured it will still be slippery when wet. Just my thoughts. A good small step ladder to throw in the back of truck would be your best investment.

The model number is xm-2150GSX will this help identify it or do I need to take a picture of the back of it.

Hey Dezul I probably won't be able to make it Friday the wife has to work which means I will have the kiddos. If things change I will let you know. I was digging around in some junk in the storage building and found a Sony xplod 760W 2/1 channel amp And a 10" Kicker CVR I have a box to fit it but don't know anything about hooking the stuff up. I got a cousin that has hooked up some pretty good systems in some cars but I didn't know if marine and automotive systems was the same. Would this amp work for the inboats and the sub or should I just use it on the inboats? Would this sub be worth messing with?

I Still don't know the difference in surf and skim some are thicker some are thinner. What works for who and what ? I like the ideal of someone with the knowledge

Okay guys after further review and debates with the better half on wants and needs I was kinda looking for a lower budget project for this spring and summer. She still wants the better quality sound but says it and the new shop won't work this year so I was wondering if y'all have any suggestions on hearing the sound system inside the boat while crushing down the lake and not worrying so much about the wakeboarders rocking out while Wakeboarding. My current setup is just the 4 factory in boat speakers and radio. Would an amp and sub make it where we could hear it throughout the boat without having it cranked so loud it is distorted and deafening to the passengers sitting near the 4 speakers and leave rooom for the rev 10s next year??? I've still not ruled it out of this year but time is quickly fading and lake time is coming.

I may have lied to uou guys on accident I bought a speaker light combo from h2osportswarehouse and they wasn't bad speakers with no amp and then the ones on my brothers avy are the only two boats I've been in.

Well I just said that cause when looking online I found the Roswell for between 1500 and 1800 so I figured it would be 2000 the best I could do. I would love to come out at 1500 or less but I think that is nearly impossible unless I buy some Jensen speakers and some PVC pipe cans

I do have a Bimini top and it has the tribal tower If I had to order today I'd want to spend less than 2000 but might go on up to 2500 because of sub and amps. Does the swivel mount on them work pretty good. My brothers boat has the spin vamp and it's a nice setup but I haven't been on Sony other boats. I want to be able to hear it while riding down the lake or while Wakeboarding

I'm probably not really qualified to comment on this yet but I'd recommend either the 1100 or 750 fly hi sacks. I thought I could just start with the 400 s and double them up when surfing and be fine. When that wasn't enough I got a 1100 from my brother and the 3 combined was great. I have since bought a 750 but have yet to fill it with water. I'm hoping to rearrange and put my 750 in rear locker and the two 400s on a seat and under the seat and maybe save dome room in the boat. The 1100 takes up a lot of space. If possible get what size you want up front cause you don't have to fill them all the way up but you can't get 1100 in the 750.

Hey guys I was just curious as I am new to the sport of surfing. I currently have a ronix board not sure the size but I can check later and I have a hyperlite that is about the same size but it's an older board. Personally I like the hyperlite board better than the ronix. It seems to have more speed than the ronix. I'm not sure if it's really that different of a board or if I just not giving the ronix a fair chance. One question I have do these boards require waxing like you see people do on the beach boards? If so maybe that is part of the problem. Next. I have read about surf boards and skim boards and if I'm reading correctly I'm never gonna be able to get fancy tricks out of either of my boards is this correct? I know I need to pony up or quit trying but I hate spending my money. Currently I just get up toss in rope and ride the wave. I can go a good way but it's just fairly calm riding no cutting up on wave and back off or anything fancy just closer to boat or further from it and back and forth in that manner. I feel it's time to change things up and start trying more exciting things on the board but I want to do it on a budget. Will I ever be able to do these things on my boards? As far as fins go I'm not sure of the size but my boards have 3 find and I was wondering do I need all three? Do I need any? I know I can just take them off and see what happens but I was looking for suggestions before my next lake trip so I could be somewhat prepared. Thanks in advance for the advice.

Almost forgot I run the factory center tank full about as soon as I get in water I fill it up and run with it all day so I kinda wasn't thinking about it.
