We were out on the water over the weekend and mom was skiing, going about 25mph throttle about 90 degrees down...Went to pull back up and it wouldn't budge? It would go faster if needed but not slower. Didn't have a choice at the time but to turn the key off and get towed in
The boat is an 03 Elite V any thoughts what to check are appreciated!!

Anyone know if they will be shipped in time for Christmas?

okay do all boats come standard with this from the factory or does it need to be added? sorry I'm not the most mechanically inclined. we have an 03 elite v. I didn't see anything like that when I was peeping around

Not sure what the BUSS ground looks like. Can you describe it?

Okay we attempted to wire ours as troys diagram shows and something has gone wrong. Whenever we put the battery switch to 1,2. Or all the fuel pump starts working as well as the perfect pass and the little red safety light on the dash..... and the key is not even in the ignition. Somehow we have taken the key out of the loop. Any ideas?

I'm not sure if they are or not, but we had one made for our 03 Elite V, not sure if there is a difference btw 03 and 04. Awesome cover though, best investment we have mad for our boat.

Here's a crappy vid of me riding in Sept 2010
Clean backroll! Got any updated videos?

Nice!!
Like what was mentioned before..
1. Palms Down
2. Keep the handle down by your waist. This will keep you balanced and help you recover.
3. Keep riding switch!
4. Don't be afraid to jump toeside, even if you take a few more falls.
5. This is more a personal thing but I think others will agree, when the boat is turning around I like to ride on my heels around the turn. I know I've face planted a couple times riding on my toes and catching a wave or my board turning out from under me. If you do continue to ride on your toes just make sure your edging outward and you shouldn't have this problem.
Keep it up and keep us posted on the progress!

You could spring for the salt water editions http://www.wetsounds.com/pages/products/SW-650.html
Don't know how well they would fair against someone kicking them but look like they may protect better than the regular

I found a rebate on AC Delco plugs. Picked up Pro Platinum 41-933 for $1.50 off each. Works for shop installed plugs too. You can find it on Amazon.com and its good till the end of the year.
Do you know if these will work in a 03 Merc 350MPI Tow Sport?

Hopefully it has the automated wakeplate which should knock the wake down a little bit, but at the end of the day it's still a deep V hull and not really meant to ski. Your best bet is to dump your crew and wait till the end of the day when the gas tank is down to get as much weight out of the boat as possible. Hole shot is going to largely depend on the prop which is on the boat and the weight in it. These are just the basics though, hopefully people with these models will chime in soon

Can't wait to see this wave out on lake anna.. Congrats!

Hmmm... given that description, I might talk myself into replacing the thermostat. How many years old?
It's 10 years old. What makes you think that? I was thinking the impeller just needed to be broken in...

Got the boat out on the water, putzed around a little bit near the launch for the temperature to rising and sure enough it skyrocketed past 175 into the 200's so I gave it some gas and took off. (hard to get past the mental block of putting the throttle down to your overheating boat) Sure enough the temp dropped back down to 150 and slowly rose to 175 and held there. We went about a half a mile or so to our riding spot, ready to kill the boat, or rev it when we came to a stop but.... it held a 175 Round of high fives throughout the boat and rode the rest of the day it was awesome! Guess the impeller just needed to be broken in to be fully operational. Thanks to everyone on the crew for their input and feedback, it was greatly appreciated. Hopefully others can use this experience and learn from it

It's metal and still looked good to me, possibly the o-right came out of place but i figure it would leak if that was the case

I'm not concerned with the engine temperature running through the fake a lake so much as it not taking in the water while at idle. Could be really annoying if I have to rev the engine while changing riders just to get suction. We are pro's now at getting to the impeller so if something does come up or start leaking we should be able to get to it no problem.
Water testing tomorrow!!
Looking for info on A-plate mod kits

Nick,
So your guy made an A plate and gave you a Lenco tab for $110 shipped?
