  1. I just booked it in for a checkup at AWS. I agree get it fixed and move on. Whats your ballast set up?
  2. So i think I am going to install 1100 bags in both rear lockers, leave the midship tanks under the seats and run one 12x24x60 bag under the port side spoters seat. I have four pumps, two on each side from the factory so one can fill the 1100 and the other can fill the midship tank and the 12x24x60 bag at the same time. I will install ball valves and quick connects to both midship tanks and use the 12x24x60 on the starboard seat for those who are goofy. I will install one new pump and sac for the bow, W711. Total of 5 pumps. I estimate the ballast on each side should be close to 1600lbs plus any bow weigtht. I can also run opposite weight too. Most of the time we will have 6 or more adults. But...... Is this enough to get a great wake on the port side with only a few people on board? Any thoughts on this setup?
  3. Thanks for the input. I appreciate your comments about the construction methods. I am just a little dissapointed spending 45k on what I thought was an almost new boat and having to deal with these issues. We have so little lake time here in Alberta that there really is no time for R and D. When I bought the boat all the lakes were still frozen so no test drive. Im sure its nothing more money cant fix. B.O.A.T!!!!
  4. I agree that centurion is not the same boat as some premium brands. My boat feels more like a typical runabout. I had a Fourwinns a few years ago and it feels more like that boat than my previous Malibu. Honestly my Malibu was 10 years older and had almost 600 hours on it and the quality of construction was much better on the Malibu. I new this before I bought this boat though, its like comparing a domestic to an import. I cant afford the import so I bought a domestic. There is no way I can live with the shudder though, I need to fix this problem soon.
  5. Yes I have the sideswipe. I have done a little reading on this site. It sounds like a might have a few options to keep the noise down. Any idea how to check and fix the strut and shaft alignment? I have a feeling its more than just a prop problem.
  6. I have two more small complaints. The PP wakeboard pro was not that accurate but I will try calibrating it before I change anything. Is this a common issue on these boats? My Malibu had the same system and it worked well. The depth finder would stop reading correctly after 25 MPH. It would jump from 30 feet to 200 and flash until I slowed down again. This happened repeatedly.
  7. Altitude is around 3500 feet. I just ordered a new 1579 prop. I hope it solves 2 of the 3 issues.
  8. So I took out my 2008 enzo 230 last weekend. This boat has only 14 hours on the clock and it looks and runs like new. I do have a few complaints though. 1. The boat has a terrable shudder under acceleration. It reverberates through the stering wheel at the bottom end and the boat contunues to have vibration through the higher RPM's. I checked the prop, it looks perfect. There is no sign of any damage at all on the ACME 537. Is this a characteristic of the boat? Is the prop wash effecting the rudder? 2. The boat is way slow. It took twice the time to get on plane as compared to my 98 VLX. Top speed was 37 MPH with only my wife and I on board. 3. I love the sound of through hull exhaust but inside the boat its just a lot of noise. I will be looking for some way of making it a little more quiet. Any suggestions would be appreciated!!!! Other than those complaints the boat was great!! Lots of room and a nice ride though the chop. I can't wait to get my ballast set up and see what the wake will be like. The stereo sounds great too.
  9. I have the manuel tab with the screws. I know it sucks but that is what I have. If the power tabs dont help with the port side I might leave it for now and see what its like. Any comments on the goofy side ballast. is there a lot more to be gained with the enzo sac on this side?
  10. What should I do with the vents at the back?
  11. I would like to try the boat first before making these changes but or lakes are not open yet. Very frustrating.
  12. Thanks for the input. So i ordered the 1579 prop. My boat currently has the 537 which will make a good spare. I have decided to try the 1100 sac on the goofy side and order the Enzo for the port/my side. I looked at the hard tank under the seat of the right side and cant see gaining much more than 100ish pounds running an enzo sac there. I will still need more weight on the seat ether way. Is the w711 the best sac for the bow? If I turn the Manuel trim tab down will this help the prop wash on the goofy side or is this thing a waste of time?
  13. I should add that my boat has Sideswipe. Is there any problems running the fly high bags against this system? Any other Mods you suggest that I have missed?
  14. I had a 98 Malibu vlx with 325hp monsoon and was very happy with the power and handling of that boat. It had 1900lbs of Ballast and P.P. I wanted I better surf wake which is what we do 70% of the time so I sold it. I just bought an 08 Enzo 230 with 14 hours. It has 4 Rear factory ballast tanks, a fixed trim plate, stock LH prop (I think 13.5 x 17 ish, Could be wrong) and the 330 engine. We mostly Boat in BC Canada at about 1200 feet but a few days are spent on a local Calgary lake at 3800 feet. I would like to set this boat up right the first time but I’m also trying to keep the spending under control. So I’m looking for advice on upgrades. My thoughts were: Change the prop if necessary, I want to be able to load the boat and still have an ok hole shot but not lose too much top end for cruising. I over propped a runabout once and hated it. Switch out the two rear tanks for 1100 lb sacs and keep the two mid ship tanks. Could I plumb them together to fill the large bags faster? Or should I remove all the tanks and buy enzo sacs? $400 vs $1000. I have a 540 sumo bag I could use in the bow but I would prefer to integrate a bow sac eventually. Do I need a Lenco trim tab? Both my wife and I surf the port side although or crew is usually 50/50 goofy regular. They don’t need a competition wake  Is the goofy wake good enough with the above set up to have a good surf wake? I also have 2 100lb lead bars to help with weight. Crew size ranges from 400lb to 2000lb so I want a versatile set up. We trailer it a long way too so more lead is not the answer. Any advice?
