Hey guys! Just found this forum and it is great. Lots of good info in here. I just bought an 06 Elite v c4. It was a left over from 06 and I got it with 1 hour on it. I do have a few questions that I cant seem to find the answers to anywhere. Im sure some of you can help me out so here it goes.....
1) This boat came equiped with the 3 fillable balast (port/star/center). Now before I get started, this boat seems to be port heavy no matter how even I distibute the weight with people. Is this normal? I can clearly tell in the wake that it is always washed out on the port side unless I fill up that balast. Ok so back to my big question. When I only fill the center and port side to their max capacity I notice that when I drain the tanks that there is water in the starboard side also. I know thos because if I push the empty button on the starboard take it starts to empty even though I never put water in it to begin with. Any ideas on why this happens? My thought was that one pump fills all the tanks but then you have to empty each one out individualy to get the right weight distributuion. So any info on this would be great!
2) I noticed that almost all of my cover buttons that are attached to the boat have cracks in the gelcoat under them. Some of the cracks are deep and long. I didnt notice it when I was looking at the boat for the first time because there is just so much to see and look over. Is this covered under any kind of warrant? It seems to me like a manufacturing defect due to the screws being over tightened. Just thought I would ask before I call up the dealer and/or centurion on this issue.
3) When I was in line to load the boat today on the lake I noticed that once in a while I would hear a long beep sound coming from teh engine compartment. It is kind of like the beep that you hear when you turn the key on but not as loud. Im almost 100% sure it was from the engine area. The sound would come and go spuraticly and only last for 2-4 seconds each time. This was at idle for about 10 mins or so. It was not the V drive warning I know that for sure.
Sorry for the long first post guys. Any help would be great. I hope to be able to help out with any audio questions on this forum. I have been in car/marine audio for 10 years now. Hope to talk to you all soon.
