It was a price point boat that flopped... I got to drive one at the factory last year and it's not a bad little boat but too small and it was lacking in a few other areas. I think their idea was to compete with the Sea Doo jet boats.

Whats up kmoney, welcome to the site! I would start small and work my way up on that boat but in general you want a 60/40 weight distribution in the boat for wakeboarding. I have not played with the T5 much but it could take a little bit of weight. Not very many New Yorkers on the site... Whats the scene like up there?

I don't want to be the hater on the SwitchBlade but I'm gonna be the first to say I am yet to meet anyone that really likes the blade on their boat. I have had an Avy and a 230 with the blade and I have several customers that have it and wish they didn't. Now, I have to say that I think the blade isn't so bad for wakeboarding but it sucks for surfing. The only reason it's bad for surfing is the spray or prop wash that comes up right behind the boat. It doesn't make it impossible to ride but not as clean and smooth as a boat with just sacs and a BTT. For wakeboarding it's ok but damn does this thing need some power to pull it around all day. If they made it where it came up out of the water when your gonna cruise home, well that would be better but I still don't think I would have it. If you have had the chance to drive them both for a considerable amount of time I would bet you would choose not to have the SB on your boat! Just my .02... Hope I didn't offend anyone.

Go test drive both boats. I myself am not a fan of the SB for different reasons but if you are considering the blade at all, you need to test drive some boats with the blade. Test drive, Test drive, Test drive... They both produce great surf wakes and good Wakeboarding wakes but you have to go test drive them both for yourself. Also, if you are considering the blade, make sure you have the upgraded engine in whatever boat you will put it on. The blade needs a bunch of pony's pulling it around.
