Any one have any insight on comparing these 2 boats. All equipment being the same, which is a better surf boat? Which boat has more room in it?

The boast in question was not winterized properly, cracked the head and just the head needed to be replaced. which it was, with a factory new head as it was an insurance claim. Seem reasonable? I know freezing the motor and it cracking i does, but not sure abot a replaced head?

Have not found a boat yet!!! Now looking at Malibu's as well, VLX or LSV 23. Anyone know which one has more room inside, a Malibu VLX or AVY?

Still looking for my next boat and have come across a few that have new engines in them. I don't know their stories, but I am guessing froze with water in them and cracked blocks. But what are the thoughts on used boats, a few years old, with new engines. Should I run from these boats?

I am back in the boat buying game. I have come across a few 22 foot Enzo's which got me thinking, since they are both the same size, all else being equal, which one would be a better surf boat? I am assuming the bow is larger on the Enzo and the beam is slightly wider, so what would be the major difference? Thanks.

I assumed a little more gas consumption. Does it make the sideswipe even louder than 5.7 sideswipe?

Looking at a boat with the 6.2L motor. Are there any draw backs? I know I usually opt for the biggest engine possible in my vehicles, but in this case are there any draw backs? It is on an 2007 Enzo 230 with sideswipe.

Hey jdb or anyone else, Did you ever change your tower? I am buying another centurion but I really hate that evolution tower that is on almost every boat I look at. Love the Gladiator tower.

Looking at a Centurion with Sideswipe. I am told it is incredibly loud. Shell will sell me some baffles, but do they work? I have read many of the threads on removing the Sideswipe and just running a normal exhaust. Is this a better option or do the baffles help out enough? Sounds like quite the modification to do so.

Thanks RhuntIII, I read through that one last night, good info! I am heading to the boat show today, would like to see some other boats. I have only ever owned a Centurion (10 years) so I should probably at least do my due diligence. As far as deals goes, I think good and bad, Centurion is really getting known to be the number 1 surf boat, hence pricing is going up or not going down anyway, on used boats. I was shocked how easily I sold my Elite V. When I bought my Elite V, Centurion was defintily not a huge name here, the price point was the seller. Now the value is in the price and the product. So it seems harder to find those really good deals now. I am not looking to steal a boat from anyone, but it just seems the used Centurions are holding there own and good deals are hard to come by.

Ok, I am still trying to find a good deal on an AVY or Enzo but they just don't seem to be out there. As much as I hate to say it, I may have to opt for the Supreme V226. I really hate that pickle fork design, but it does seem to give you way more room in the bow and seems to be a good choice for a surf boat from what I have read. The deals also seem to be better. Thoughts? Any other boats I should consider?

Thanks Firemanron!! I think there is a benefit going to the 09 vs the 08 for those and other reasons. I really that like that dash that seems to have made a brief debut, but thats just me. I am still on the hunt, my boats out there somewhere!! Much appreciated!! what year is your Avy?
