  1. This is not the case on the LS Motors, (409 -450).....The motor itself is cooled by antifreeze. You only drain the exhaust system. Stoked, if you need any help let m know. I live on Lake Anna .
  2. Just gave lessons on a new X23 yesterday, was extremely disappointed in the wake for as much Mastercraft was stating its wake was. I am sure it could be dialed in better... but not good. I was also in a new Momba this weekend that had a far better wake than the X23 Do yourself a favor & get behind a SV244! That should make up your mind! lol
  3. SV 244 Goofy Surf Setup

AGREED!!!! However, I must say...I ride on the RIGHT side of the boat! Speed is a whole different animal! That basically depends on the rider and the board they are on, there are definitely fast & slow boards. I have ride at 11.00 on our boat. I have had pro skim riders want the speed down to 10.6,..Speed is also based on your weight in the boat, the more weight, typically you can run a tad faster to create more drive as well as length in the wake. Dennis is right, you may have to move people around to get the best results. I find that the further forward people are the lesser effect it has on the wake, To much counter wake in the rear, and your goofy wake will start to wash over. As your set up, add a lot more counter weight, fill the locker up, either with the bag or with the ram fill, if you are manually filling the bags and do not plan on switching, use only the ram fill and go to about 20-30%. this is also based on how fast you load the boat, higher speed will fill the tanks quicker, so this you will have to play with. I like the bags full in the rear, as I know exactly that my counter weight is the same all the time. Also speed your boat up to at least 10.8 or so, 10.5 seems very slow, also drop the trim to about 50 & work from there what seems most comfortable to you & your riders, as I mentioned, trim changes with every rider I put back there. Another hint..make sure the auto trim is turned off. I and find that it gives inconsistent results as to where the computer sticks the plate....( I have experienced this on several boats, also depends on what software version you are running) s I said, small crew, in the back...big crew ad more bow weight, bow eight will lengthen your wake, but also drops the height a bit. As Dennis said, not an exact Science, need to pay attention to changes, but from what he & i have given you, you should be able to be pretty consistent time after time!! And congrats on an awesome boat!!!!
  4. SV 244 Goofy Surf Setup

Question...Do you have a Plug n Play installed in the rear lockers or do you have Fat Sacs you can put back there? I know PnP was not an option in 2014, but some dealers have installed them. Here is my set up for Goofy , Port - PnP (or Fat Sac in rear) = 100% STB - PnP (or Fat Sac in rear) =100% STB - RamFill - 100% Bow - 100% (depends on size of your crew, if you don't have many people run little to bow weight, 4 plus people, fill it up!) CATS - 20 Trim - This depends on style and skill of rider, I am Surf style & aggressive, like a steep clean wake. I run at 40% my wife aggressive skim, I run her at 65%, beginners 80-100 By having both rear bags full you will be able to switch sides in about 30-40 seconds. set up would be the same on Port except CATS at 80. also you can add about 10-20 % in the RamFill on the stub if you'd like. Matthew
  5. Ballast setup in FS33

Interesting, I guess personal preference...We rode the 44 all last year at the 11.4 tops, even towed the Lake Anna Contest slower, Pros were happy with the stock wake, including Keenan. I will have to try it faster, I used to ride faster, but have started slowing it down. All the Pros I have had on the boat seem to slow the speeds down.
  6. 13 sv244 vs 11 lsv 247

244 al the way. The 247 CAN have a good wake, just requires an insane amount of extra weight. make sure you order a factory "A Plate" if you get the 244 this will give you a super clean Goofy wake as well!
  7. Ballast setup in FS33

Settings look good, That speed seems way fast, I rode a FS33 with trim at 50 & speed 11.2 & 11 I do not think you will need extra weight on this boat. It is pretty dam good!
  8. The 233 all the way! I had one before the 244. Great boat and wake! The cockpit space is great, as well as the rear boarding area is nicer in my opinion. They still make the 233
  9. New Phase 5 Video

I have the 53 Wire. I have ridden the Larger Aku, It was great, but just too big for me. I think the smaller Aku would do well though. I have a few coming in & can't wait to try them. If you have anyone around there, definitely give a demo a try.
  10. New Phase 5 Video

Jody Grassman as well as Zach Smith are also P5 riders sponsored by Nautique. They have had a small Surf team, but Nautique has had a pretty big Wakeboard team as they should. Surf Team is getting pretty stout now!!
  11. New Phase 5 Video

Their Surf style boards are great! I just switched from FlyBoy to the Phase 5 Wire! Super fast, spins great, and is more stable. Plus SO much stronger as well as Made in the USA!!!!
  12. I would go with the SV233. With Ram Fill and CATS the wakes are qual on both sides regardless of the boat. The boat being a bit bigger will assist in the wake. Sits a bit higher in the water, and has a a cleaner wake for sure! I used my 233 for a my WakeSurf school as well as pulled a World Series Qualifier with it. Absolutely a great boat! Also have put 100 hrs on an FS44, I feel the best consistent wave is the SV hulls. Hence why we have a 244 currently selling to get another 244!
  13. enzo 210 vs enzo 211

You cannot get CATS or Ramfill on a SS210. The 211 is the same hull as the 210. The 211 however in 2012 had all the bells & whistles as the 233 & 244. So it had Provision Dash II with GPS, rider Profiles, etc... The 211 was available with all the Ballast that that the 210 has now. As you mentioned the big difference is the Micro Touch vs Provision, (big difference) and aside from the Tower, Gladiator to Maximus. That is about it, the 2015 shares the same layout dash, Glovebox, etc as the 211.
  14. I have experienced significant wake change with bow weight on a 44. Even when fuel gets down to half a tank. Have you noticed this? I am speaking about a listed boat. I have not had such a variance in the SV hulls.
  15. '13 elite V? What should I pay?

It is not a misprint. It is in fact a 303hp 305 cubic inch motor.
  16. '13 elite V? What should I pay?

That is a friend's of mine boat. he traded it in on a new boat. I have been on this boat and it is super clean!!! major upgrades for an Elite V! The coat, the Rev 8's, Sub, 420! All awesome stuff. The motor has no problem pulling that boat! And the PCM fuel economy is great for Surfing. My 409 in the 244 only burns 6.5 GPH, my 233 with the 343, was 5.5 so that one should be better. I am not sure where you are getting 40K from, but with all the upgrades, the fact that it is in great shape, and the dealer that is representing it, it is well worth that price. Plus it has the Micro Vision Dash! Trust me it is a clean boat!
  17. Agreed, The dekadence is really great, plus boat always looks clean as the dirt falls through the mat, pick up & vacuum. The padded, Sea dek etc all the first shows all the time, a lot more upkeep to keep clean with heavy use.
  18. Used boat purchase please

I do know of a 2012 230, that did receive a vinyl redo with about 500hrs on it. I know some have had bad experiences, but others have had a lot of success. There have been a lot of changes there. That is why I said "first & foremost"! Worth a shot. I still feel that is the better boat to go after. Just my nickels worth of Free advise!
  19. Used boat purchase please

I would go with the 2012, for a couple reasons. First & foremost, you should call Centurion as depending on the damage to the interior, some or all may be covered under warranty. Secondly, the Pro Vision dash, is a great upgrade with the GPS and other options. Third, you mentioned that the 12 has a trim tab, which means the 10 does not, that is a big set back that will cost money to do, plus on the 12, you can add a wing to it ($100) and have a nice clean Goofy wake! The trim plate is a huge help in tuning a wake and makes cruising down a busy lake much smoother. Fourth, Sideswipe, although very cool & useful at the time is outdated and LOUD! With the 12 you have Catalytic manifolds with cleaner burning motor. Fith, Quickfill is great!!, that plus PnP ballast makes for a quick wake. also the Quickfill is great for wake boarding as it can be adjusted pretty quickly. You can probably negotiate better with the newer boat based on the interior, plus the fact that the boat costs less, use that money to go towards the interior fixing if not covered. As far as rental…as long as the exterior of the boat isn't damaged, (which is usually the case with Rental) it should be fine, check your builds & change, change the impeller, & get on with it!!! Good luck!
  20. New Centurion Owner FS33

Their previous towers were made in house so they were pre wired. Because ether are made by Roswell now & come in all assembled with speakers (if ordered) I am not sure. I would assume that they would be though. One great thing about these boats is that they are prewired for all options. Makes adding things later easier.
  21. 2015 Videos

Thank you! I have a 2014 SV244 (which is for sale, btw) Ram Fill with PnP bags in rear. That is the only boat in the video, except for the other 244 to map etch bowl. Any of the new boats with CATS will make a great Goofy wake. I prefer the SV244, I had a 233 previously, my best friend has a FX44 and spent tons of time behind it. Just Love this boat, that's why I am ordering a 2015!!
  22. 2015 Videos

Thank you!!! Stoked everyone likes it!
  23. 2015 Videos

Here is a quick little winter Surfing Edit I through together! With special guest stars, Caroline Villenueuve, WWSC Outlaw women's 1st & 2nd place (& soon to be pros) Taylor Beaver & Zoey Shields!! Not sure how to make the window play in the post. [ post the link/text to the video ]
  24. Both wakes are great with CATS! The way to go is have Ram Fill then add Plug n Play! You can switch side in about 30 seconds!! You will be extremely happy!
  25. Congratulations!!! The double wing plate will be fine and not a have a negative effect on your Surf wake! You will be extremely happy with this boat!!
