Found out that the speaker wires were pulled down out of the tower (either at the factory or dealer). All that was left were the wires for the tower lights. Just had to snake some new speakers wires. Cant believe how much time I wasted trying to figure this out!

Could someone post a picture of the Metcraft OEM speaker mounts for their chrome bullets? Thank you!

Just look for a "Contura" switch on ebay or any marine store. They match the OEM except dont have the labels.

I had the same annoyance. The IPOD would reset to the first song every time I restarted the engine. I believe that it is wired to intentionally shut down power to all accessories when the engine is cranking (both to put max power to the starter as well as to insulate sensitive electronics to heavy starting loads on the line. This was solved with a second battery and isolator (Blue Sea 7650) a pretty nice setup.

Is there anyone on the forum that could do me a favor and take a closeup picture of the Metcraft OEM tower speaker mounts for the Evolution tower? Thanks Much! STeve

Thanks Kev but Im still stumped. At the bottom of the tower is a bundle of wires coming down into the gunnel. I unwrapped them. There are 2 black wires coming down that were already connected together from the factory. One of them goes up to the tower speaker (I checked continuity). The other is apparently the ground for the nav light. I cant figure why the factory would connect these blacks. Anyway, if I connect the amp output to the connected pair of blacks, i get no sound. If I take one of the blacks away, I get sound but no nav light.

Im trying to install a set of speakers to my Evo tower as well. The number of wires comming out of the tower are amazing. Does anyone have a schematic or color code? When I hook up the right tower speaker, the nav light goes out. If i hook up the nav light, the speaker cuts out. (both use a black wire that runs down the tower). Cant figure this one out. Steve
