Vinyl Panels
boatdr replied to RhuntIII's topic in Centurion Boat Maintenance, Performance, Troubleshooting
They can be removed without too much trouble. You just need small arm to get in there.side panel hAs a few nuts holding in on from the back, you reach Them from the aft locker and there arqe slots in the vinyl above the cup holders, you will need a 7/16 wrench or socket to take the nuts off.after you get all the ones you can see just pull on the panel a little to find the rest of them. Bow panels come out in the same fashion...Slots are above the net at each end. -

Need help replacing Steering cable
boatdr replied to CoastalJim's topic in Centurion Boat Maintenance, Performance, Troubleshooting
The best way to remove the cable is to remove the pin out of the clevis at the end of the cable where it attaches to the rudder arm, then remove the clamp block that holds the steering tube. Pull the whole assy out, Then you can get at the 1 1/8 nut that holds the cable in the tube. sometimes the cable is stuck in the tube so you may have to replace it anyway. -
There is a place called Lake Gaston Resort that has motel rooms, camping, trailers that you can rent, boat ramp and 84 slips. It might be a good place because of all the accommodation's. Some of it is a bit rustic lake fare but there are allot of options at one place. http://www.lakegastonresort.com/index.php

No worries, I will check out what is available. There are a few camp sites around and there are a few private beach area's that can be rented. Stonehouse may be a option. .

I have a house at Gaston and will be glad to see what I could line up. There are several areas/ parks that we could use if it gets big to hang out at the house. Adam is not far from me and I can see if I can get him to come by also. I can check with Overby's and see if they have any interest as this would be in their territory. I am a Centurion dealer as well but don't want to step on any toes.

Dealership is in the Va Beach area, "Bill's Marine" unfortunately Lake Gaston is not my market area. On your prop we send our's out to a local prop shop. I can send you their number if you like.

I have a lake house at Gaston and am there on most weekends in the summer. I have an Avalanche that I leave there and I am also a Centurion dealer so I may have a new demo boat there from time to time. Drop me a line sometime.

Starter replacement on a 03 Avalanch
boatdr replied to Rapid's topic in Centurion Boat Maintenance, Performance, Troubleshooting
Just make sure it is not the solinoid on top of the engine before you go diveing for the starter. Any way if you have to replace the starter it is no too bad. You will need a swivel head 3/8 ratchet and a short and a long 1/2 socket to make it easier. -
