thats what im guessing it is if so whats the least expensive rout to go? rebuild vs new? pros cons of both? where is a ggod place in sacramento to do it or is it easy enough for myself to do? ive done tons of trannys in cars but never a boat, the tranny is easy to get to so is it a simple task? any write ups or how tos?

for starters my boat is an 02 sport bowrider, 5.7L mercury, borgwarner velvet drive 1-1 ratio tranny. my problem is the tranny swas slipping when pulling a skier, now it wont go into neutral or reverse. ive tried, changing tranny fluid but no luck. so hopefully someone on here can help me out! thanks!!
