  1. Oh, and one more thing. I never drive in surf configuration now, my wife is just better at it, unless she is surfing which just started recently! PP GPS will be on my next boat for sure. It's a PIA to try and stick with speed on some of the places we surf as they are large rivers. BB
  2. We have similar hulls. I use no counter weight. Stock OEM 250 center filled, 750 on surf side (goofy is difficult to tune no matter sac configuration on the EliteV) 500 on seat on mid port, 500 across back seat center. If I am on a still deep lake with 4 people I usually move the portable sac up to the port bow and sit one person in the bow starboard to start and then when I reach speed they hop to port. 1 rope catcher on the stern port, 1 person in mid port rear facing seat and then the driver who usually stands slightly left as they drive too. So basically the only thing I have Starboard is some gear. I even move the cooler to the center of the boat. I have spent tons of time getting this wave decent. having at least one portable sac is vital to different people being in the boat. I also found my speed is higher then average, 12+mph It will never lengthen to some of the guys Enzo waves, you end up going 14MPH and you can only sit in the pocket surfing. Hope that helps.
  3. In Boat Speakers

I am an audiophile for sure, but alas, I am on a beer budget. So after having approximately 66 speakers over the years in vehicles of all types, I choose Focal. They are the fullest sounding without sounding tinny or too high pitched on the db level to enjoy without a full EQ. I have them in all my rides, including the Centurion. I have these in the boat itself in the Access 130's, in the boat and these in Samson 360 pivoting/removable separates on the tower in the Access 130 A1 They are naturally weather resistant in their design. I highly recommend them. BB
  4. Phase 5 Trident

This board is on my list for one of the purchases for the boat this year. I have been hoping for a board exactly like this to be made and am excited to try it! BB
  5. Saw the Phase5 Drew Carbon XL today and got to really check it out. I think I will be waiting til I can afford that board. It's silly light, I tried to torque or flex by hand and no way. Plus I like the look and shape. Watched a few videos of guys close to my size with similar wave. Looks good. BB
  6. What's your boat's top speed?

Adding to my earlier post, I have only went top speed twice since I got the boat. One, for a shakedown run of any weak parts, oil pressure, impeller check, stability at speed etc. Two, to get out of the way of a nastyasz storm. Other then that, I dont believe in pushing a small block for extended periods past 3800 rpm, but that's just my opinion. BB
  7. I have heard this from another fella as well. It is just the single front and rear fin setup, right? That is what I am looking for. Basically like a big wake skate shape I am thinkin. BB
  8. Thank you guys. I will be looking into those suggestions right away. $ is an issue, but I have found saving to get the right board is much more important then I originally thought. Keep the ideas coming if there are any others. BB
  9. I am 225 with a semi wet vest on, loving my Blue Lake right now, but want to try a skim style board as well and have one on the boat. Somewhat of a durable but fun board preferred. What are your suggestions? BB
  10. What's your boat's top speed?

Elite V with the 350, 48-52 MPH at max throttle via GPS with my stock pitched surfing impeller on and 2 adults, 2 children on flat water. BB
  11. My boat is a hand control only and the paddle wheel is about 13mph which the GPS says is closer to 11.5mph. The wife has gotten so good at driving it, I wouldn't dare pull someone surfing now with her on the boat. BB
  12. Tossed the rope yesterday for good (at least with this board). Rode today with a good wave and flatter water and decided to practice a few light cuts on the Blue Lake. I learned a few things along the way. It has been a challenge learning this without help or guidance in person, except pointers on here. I have come to really enjoy surfing. Also ripped it on the wakeskate for the first time yesterday and today, it was a blast on flat water! Here is a little vid of my first try at cuttin. BB First full day with no rope
  13. Wakeskate needs some luv..

I've used Goop automotive without issue and good results. BB
  14. Babes in bikinis!

And this is a bad thing? LOL. Dude, she is smokin and you are a lucky man. Here is some photos that was requested to be put over here. Myself, wife, girlfriend. Second is wife, 2 girlfriends. Yes, there are no tops on BB
  15. You can see in the one pic that my rope person did not catch the rope well and of course it came right to me and hooked a fin. My ballast set up is 750 Port Locker, 400 Port bench, 400 Port floor, 150 center seat, driver, 2 adults in the viewing seat area, one adult port bow. BB
