  1. Hard to believe I was able to fit them on my smaller sv211 but they won't fit for the same boat that's only 2feet larger? I have to play devils advocate and say they'll work.. Mount them sideways so the T handle isn't lifting up and down into the bag but left and right instead.

Kinda hoping I could do that! Thanks for the response. I need to find some time and crawl in there and check out the situation

  2. I have been meaning to update this post but seems like I have just been living on the road and have not had an opportunity to do so

As I reported, Hillside installed the Valterras valves on my 2013 233 while the boat was on the lift in mid September. The valves worked great but the handles stuck up and interfered with the bags. For example if the Plug and Play was being used you could not open the QF because the handle was not allowed to move up to the open position because of the pressure from the bag pushing down on it. While a pain, it was totally usable and we finished the season surfing that way as we had less than a month to go before taking the boat off the lift. Once the boat got to Hillside for winerization Travis and I decided the modifications needed to try to get the Valterras installed so they would not interfere with the bags was impractical and I did not want to cut up the boat or minimize space for my PnP bag. During our winterization Hillside went ahead and swapped out the Valteras valves and put back in new Drainmasters. I got almost three full seasons out of my first set of Drainmasters and if these last three years I will be cool with that.

I have not seen the boat since the change but we should be good as new. I am sure Travis can jump in here if there are any questions on what it would have taken to get the Valterras installed to not interfear with the bags, or any other questions on this. Evidently there were also some minor tweaks needed to install the newer Drainmasters we got from Centurion. Again, this is on a 2013 233.

I have Two brand new valtera valves in the garage that Shell sent me to replace my drainmaster valves that are beginning to fail. I guess they're not gonna work after reading this thread. I haven't had a chance to get in the boat and look at situation been to busy.

    Now what ??? :stuart:

  3. May be a bit :offtopic: , but I have to step up and say that VM has been AWESOME to deal with. I needed replacement running lights that were pitted they replaced no questions. My fulton jack broke they sent me a new one. A couple lags were missing on the trailer bunks they sent me 10 of them. They also are always there to answer any concerns you have with your trailer. I felt this may be the thread to give VM props for GREAT warranty service.

  4. I'm looking to do some stereo upgrades in my 05 SV230 this off season. Only having 4 factory interior speakers just isn't cutting it anymore. I've already upgraded the existing speakers to XS-65i but has anyone added any additional speakers to the interior and where have you installed them?

Maybe I'm not good at visualizing it but I just can't seem to find a good spot for at least 2 more speakers.

Not sure if you have bow speakers already, but if not that's an idea to get some sound up front.

  5. Ok, so I've been clueless to this and have always just winged it when it comes to tire PSI on the trailer. I usually stop inflating when the tire looks "square" ie. not bulging anywhere. Then do the rest at the same PSI. I can't seem to find any info on the appropriate amount of PSI to inflate my trailer tires to. I tried looking up my tires ( Nitto NT420S 18" ) but all i can find is max pressure info. Well thanks for nothing internet, I can see that on the sidewall of the tire. My cars have a sticker in different places that tell you the recommended PSI, why doesn't my trailer have the same.

    Anyone have the proper info?

Oh, and I was ecstatic to realize that all this time, even though I have a mounted spare, that I didn't have the correct size wrench for my lugs! Awesome.

Check on the tongue of the trailer. There should be a sticker there telling you the correct pressure for your tires.

  6. That's awesome Shaka! Thanks for posting that. Like doc said, even though it was written off anyway, it's best that it was saved from the gallows. I think there's actually fines in some areas for sinking your boat. The oil and gas is an issue for sure.

That's why it's a GOOD idea that your insurance company covers you for a hazardous clean up in the event your boat sinks. Most insurance companies DON'T cover you for this.

  7. Fineline has always been very quick and easy to deal with. Never questioned a single warranty claim and always helped us very diligently. By far the best manufacturer we've ever dealt with. I have to say though, none of my customers call fineline directly, particularly for warranty issues. They call me when their starter goes bad, etc. and if I don't have it in stock (I normally do) I'll have it in a day or two from pcm. There are of course exceptions, but the bulk of the time we get our customers back up and running quickly. My point is, go through a good dealer and you won't have to be on the phone with fineline in the first place. For things like a transom remote, that's exactly the type of thing that you should just go through your dealer for. I myself wouldn't even bother ordering it through fineline, I can get it directly through our general marine equipment supplier next day. I do that because it just makes more sense to go through our local accessory supplier than a boat builder on the other side of the country, unless it's a warranty item. Again,if you work with a good dealer, than let them deal with it and you'll have a more pleasureable experience all around.

I agree with you 100% unfortunately both times I purchased my boat I was without a dealer shortly after purchase. The first time dealer went out of business, and the second time (AWESOME DEALER MAY I ADD) ended up selling the business, and the new owner doesn't sell centurions. Point of this response is IMO centurion is there for you even if your not a dealer. I have been taken care of VERY WELL with warranty issues. Including things that are WAY out of warranty. I think some need to realize that yes we have high dollar toys and yes we should be taken care of, but at some point you need to compromise on some things and work together as opposed to DEMANDING something. Again just my opinion!
