Hopefully this might help clear it up. I would use the large if your going to anchor at a sandbar or IN shallow water for a short time (attended of course) I would not trust my boat overnight with either one of these if its spiked in the water since it may pull out if the wind or current etc kick up. On the other hand if you're going to use it to hold a stern line up on the beach out of the water (including overnight) both would be adequate. I have never had an issue with either one pulling out, and the part of the river I frequent has a decent current to it. Hope this helps

You said it yourself! You hit the rev limiter when your RPM's are to high a warning beep goes off to let you know to "settle down big guy!!!!" I would think it's safe to say if you were able to get it up to 6000 rpm and it seems to be running fine you have no fuel issues. -

What is the 244 high elevation prop?

1847 on my 244. I was looking for an 1847 when i dinged my prop and they were hard to find at that time for some reason nettles tuned a 1433 to match an 1847, and works great. -
