  2. Well, a few too many hours on saturday pulling it apart, repainted and installed new riser gaskets/manifold gaskets and she runs perfect!
  3. Yesterday
  4. I have a 2009 Centurion Storm Series Avalanche. The center ballast will turn on and fill and empty. However, the port and starboard ballast pumps don't turn on. They worked when I picked up the boat but now when I hit the switch they don't come on. Is there an easy fix or something I should be looking for? (inline fuse or ???)
  5. Your wake should start to flatten out at any speed greater than 28 mph. What rope length are you using? You should be starting at 15 off...that's 60 feet. That should put you beyond the rooster tail. Are you running the stock prop? If yes, a new CNC nibral prop like the ACME 541 will reduce the rooster tail. Contact either ACME and/or Eric at OJ props for assistance with selecting the correct prop for your activity. Also, try to get the back of the boat out of the water...meaning, experiment with less gas in the tank and see what effect that reduction in weight might have. Consequently, you might try putting 80 - 100 pounds in the bow of your boat to see if that causes the nose to rotate down a bit and get the back of the boat to run a little lighter. Does your wake look like this:
  6. Kinda have a strange situation that I'd like to hear some perspective on from members. Have a '02 Elite V C4 Air Warrior that we keep lifted in a boat house on our lake. Saturday I hit a submerged stump and put a small ding in the 3-blade prop, lots of vibration so idled in and pulled the boat out and trailered it a couple of hours home so I could exchange props on dry land. This boat never sits uncovered, and while home it sat outside the first night and wouldn't you know we had pretty torrential rains - like 4" Sunday nightt here in Houston. I came home from work on Monday and things were drying out but I noticed there was water on the driveway under boat. Looking closer I saw there was a steady drip - every 2-3 sec drip - coming from the prop shaft dripping water out from inside the boat. I looked in the bilge and found 5" of water standing in the engine and tranny bilge areas. I pulled the plug and ran the bilge to drain the water, and all is good. Got me to thinking I had never noticed a sizeable prop shaft leak, but then again maybe this is normal. Different perspective from water leaking into the hull, versus seeing water leaking out. One lesson- I need to pull the plug if/when I store this boat exposed to weather. Anyone have any thoughts if this is normal?
  7. We have an '83 Ski Centurion Tru Trac. It's a 19 foot. We aren't planing well and are considering smart tabs. We have too much wake and rooster tail for happy single skiing. Will the smart tabs help us with less wake, rooster tail? As I have been looking at all other discussions on forums, looks like I'm looking for the opposite of everyone else in this world. Looking for less wake.
  8. Disconnect the power to the amp? removing that sub is not going to be easy. It’s a custom 2.5 cubic foot box built under the helm haha
  9. Hello all, I am a first time poster here, i have been reading for a while and have an issue I've been noticing for a while now with my 2004 Eclipse V drive. The boat stays on trailer our climate controlled warehouse when its not being used, lately I have noticed that it will have a slow drip from the t handle hull drain for at least a week maybe more after it has been used. the walk thru cooler is used and stocked with ice every time we use the boat. both the t handle and the rear plug are pulled at the ramp when we are done using the boat but still once we get back to warehouse it continues to drip. the hose on the port side of the engine with the hose flush port stays full... that was my first though that it was in fact leaking somewhere. I just checked it tonight after 8 days of it being out of the water and it has one drip every 30-40 seconds, I have not gotten my head into it yet but wanted to ask the pros on here before I did. any help would be appreciated thanks
  10. Last week
  11. I just had a flawless week on Lake Powell with my 2014 SV233.
  12. Since you started with the rca, now disconnect the power and reconnect it. If that dose nothing pull the sub and take a look at it. From there take the amp out and have it bench tested at a stereo shop.
  13. Ok fixed issue two. Bottom line I’m a radio-edit. It was in neutral but apparently not all the way up. Jiggled the throttle back and forth and she started right up. I still cannot figure out the stereo issue. I tried unplugging the RCAs in the back of the deck but that didn’t change anything. Here’s a video. I’m stuck on what to check next.
  14. Still having trouble with my ballast filling (starboard side). Strange issue. Its intermittent as well...which is driving me nuts. 2007 Enzo SV216. Has the four sprinkler valves. Clean filter. Pump is running. Impeller looks mint. I pulled the filter and turned the pump on and water came out. The strange thing is that the last two times it did this, once i removed the hose from the output side of the pump, it started working again. At least until I got it full. The very next time though it did the same thing. Is it possible that there is air pressure keeping the pump from priming after I had stopped filling? My service tech told me before I should get rid of the sprinkler system too. Thoughts?
  15. The issue with a woofer closed in an insulated locker, is they tend make boat shake, but add little musically. unless you vent the locker. If the existing woofer is just "ok", id put my efforts into improving it first. Is the tuning optimal? Larger woofer? Does it need more wattage? Move from a sealed to ported enclosure?
  16. What upsets me is the Centurion says there's no fix for you guys. Sorry....Like what? Your product is clelarly defective, people paid 100+K for it and you don't seem to care? Thumbs down
  17. just wondering if anyone has installed a sub in the passenger side storage locker and how it sounded. I need to upgrade the amp powering my 4 6.5 speakers so figured I might use a 5 channel identical to the other I just installed and power an extra sub off it. My other sub is under the drivers counsel. It sounds ok but I could use more bass. Thanks
  18. Vintage "Ski" Centurion

Billy Bee - I was happy to see your post! My husband Jeff found a boat very similar to yours in the Salt Lake area. My husband swung a great deal/trade for the boat and has been working hard on it for a couple of years. It sounds like we have had similar issues to yours. In addition to what you mentioned, Jeff replaced the engine with a new one. It had/has a 351 Windsor. The issues that we are having with the boat are: the boat won't plane, and the wake is freaking me out. I like to single ski.I have never been a really aggressive skiier, but have never been so freaked out about the wake before. The wake has a rooster tail that I can't deal with. It seems like too much off of the sides of the boat as well. Definitely not planing like it should. Our RPM's at full throttle approach 4200, which is about right we think It has a Holley 4160 carb. Jeff just made sure it was adjusted right. We're taking on water, maybe under the bump guard seam, maybe in front. We may need to raise the trailer and see if we can drain it better. Speedo's aren't correct. Only one works right now, and it appears to be about half speed slow. When the speedometer shows 13, we're going about 25. We checked with a GPS today on the water. What kind of ski does your wife ski on? I am using my old Connely hook what I have had since the early 80's. I love it, am comfortable with it, but one day I would like to up my game. So, I was wondering. Coincidentally, I grew up in Stockton, and have been boating on the delta my whole life. What a great place to be! I really couldn't be luckier though, despite the shorter warm season here in Northern Utah, we have a reservoir 10 minutes away that offers glass if we get out early enough. We get the fishermen to wave (one fingered) sometimes, but laugh it off! We only tear it up for half hour or so before Jeff goes to work. I've tried to send photos, but the file sizes are too big. I'll try again later maybe.
  19. While overall it was good cuz we had the little kids out swimming mostly there were two WTF. Moments that really could pissed me off. The first was at the very beginning. Cruising out of the no wake zone and plug in the stereo faceplate and get a super loud buzz noise from the sub that wouldn’t go away or turn down with the volume. Only way to get rid of it was pop the faceplate back off. Tried unplugging the two rca plugs for the sub in the back of the exile ZLD no change. So we went the whole day no music. I did notice on the receiver part of the stereo where the faceplate plugs in there’s some greenish corrosion in there but it worked like normal two weeks ago The second issue. Boat was starting and running normal all day. Even towed another boat to the docks that wouldn’t start then went back to the cove. Coming back for the day we park the boat in a curtesy stall and turn it off while I go get the truck. Come back and go to start it. Nothing. I turn the key and I hear the full pump running. All dash switched work like normal so i wouldn’t think battery related. When I turn the key the fuel pump cycles like normal the when i turn to start nothing happens. No click or anything. Checked the safety red clip thingy we never use and it’s normal as it always is. What should I check for this then? 2000 elite V by the way haha.
  20. Hello, We just bought a Sv220 with the 6.2 and having trouble getting to work right. First time on the water boat ran good for a little bit then we started wake boarding and the boat would act like it was getting drug hard and temp would spike fast. Took it to the dealer and they replaced some sensor. Today we took it out and with six people and the ballast full, throttle all the way down the boat wouldn't even come close to getting on plane 12-15 mph was the best it would do, even with moving 4 people to the front. Empty all the ballast and it would get on plane but not like I would expect that size boat/motor combo to. This is my first real towboat/vdrive so any advice would be welcomed. We ended up putting mine on the trailer and got my buddys 2000 malibu out and it makes my boat look like a 25hp fishing boat.
  21. I have an Ri257 2018 and was trying to use the steering wheel paddle control to adjust the cruise speed while surfing. However, this had no affect on the adjustment. Is this only possible when the engine is off or idle? Anybody with similar issues or solution?

  23. Spent 4hrs on the lake today with several engine cycles without any issue. Just prior to loading on trailer shut down engine, waited for trailer. Try to restart and lost all electronics, everything (ballast pumps, gauges, starter). Got home and can’t find anything wrong, but still no power to anything, batts are good, kill switch appears to be good, 50amp engine breaker is reset and still no power. What am I missing? Anyone with any ideas, please.
  24. No but I have 500 lbs I could put in the boat
  25. So we have been noticing less and less power throughout the past couple years coming from our Mercruiser 350 mag in our Air Warrior. So I’m trying to compile a list of things to look into / replace this season. LIST: Cap and Rotor Plugs and wires Fuel separator and filter Is there anything else someone can think of that is an easy enough fix that could be draining power?
  26. I have a 2013 sv230. Gas gauge seems totally unreliable in that after filling it reads empty. However sometimes I do get a reading. Have not systematically worked through conditions of when it reads zero or when it reads something.
  27. That’s weird you guys are getting no gauge at all. The known issue after the newest software update it the gas gauge will drop to empty as soon as you switch something on that creates a big power drawer like center tab or surf tabs moving or any of the ballast pumps running. Stereo does not create the issue. This is what happened to my 17 ri237 as soon as I installed the newest software and dealers and centurion is aware.
  28. Not sure if this helps, my 2018 ri 237 fuel gauge worked great. This year after summerized the boat and guage works when motor off, but when fires up, boat gauge goes to empty, called dealer said same thing, software issues and no resolves. no word from centurion
