  1. We recently acquired a 13' SV244, been a great boat so far except for the looming transmission and v-drive issue. I've been doing a lot of reading here and learning about these things trying to figure out what the issue may be, but so far have not been able to. So, I figured I'd probe the community and see what they thought may be the issue. First off, how we came to find the issue. We went on a longer boat ride with the plan to stop somewhere along the way to surf, when we stopped to surf the moment we accelerated the transmission started slipping. We decided to drain and head home, at that point we needed to limp home at idle it would no longer let us plain. What we've done since then to troubleshoot and attempt fixing. First we checked the fluids, Transmission read almost completely empty and the v-drive was full of milkshake. So, the next day we filled the tranny and replaced the oil in the v-drive. While we were in there we also checked the transmission cooler for blockages and found none. Afterwards we went for a test drive and everything functioned properly. Then did a secondary flush on all the fluids, Tranny and V-drive . The v-drive was still a little milky but that was presumably from us not removing all of the water the first time. Since then (about a week after fluid changes and daily use) the boat has been functioning properly and we have been checking the fluids at the end of each day. What we have found is that the transmission is definitely leaking fluid, it is visible on the belly of the boat. It isn't leaking a lot and also doesn't seem to be consistent. some days after use there will be little or none lost others it is noticeable. We've taken steps to try and identify the source of the leak but haven't identified it yet. The v-drive also seems to have an issue, it isn't leaking any fluid but it has a noticeable hiss of air when I remove the dipstick, probably an issue with the vent right? There's is also evidence of some droplets of milkshake starting to form if that makes sense? This could be remnants of water from the last 2 flushes. Anyways, If you guys have any ideas on what the issues may be i'd love to hear em' so we can get this boat fixed up. It seems odd to me that these issues are occurring at the same time, so my thinking is that there is something going on with the cooler even though it seems to be in good shape. Planning on doing another fluid flush sometime next week, keep monitoring the fluids and try to locate a leakage source.
  2. I have a 2014 SV244 been a great boat. Last two times we have went out while surfing you give the boat full throttle and the boat gets up to speed but then it will fluctuate it's speed by 3 to 4mph. ex. 10.8 surf speed will raise to 14 then down to 8 and repeat. you can pull throttle back a bit and will hold fairly steady. We are at the same lake in Arizona, I'm told this is all done by GPS? is there anything I can check? plugs, voltages, etc. We are also getting a vibration when it's up to speed but thinking this may be tied in with the speed issue. Thank you, Rvkelle82
  3. Hey all! New owner - first time post. I recently bought an 2014 Centurion Enzo SV244. The boat has lived its life on a boat lift in Tennessee and does not come with a trailer. Would anyone here have a trailer for sale that would fit a 2014 SV244? I believe Boatmate manufactured the trailers for Centurion during this time frame. Thanks! Looking forward to being a part of the community here.
  4. Hey Crew...looking at a 2014 SV244 pending a few factors, including determine the dimensions on trailer. I have a big garage, but can't find the stats on the boat anywhere and I don't trust the limp tape measure measurement I've taken myself at the dealer. Anyone happen to have the original info that might include the length on trailer with platform removed and tower folded?
  5. Hey guys! First post here but I know I’ve come to the right place! It’s finally time I can justify upgrading my boat to something surfable! I’ve been looking around for the past year or so, comparing different options in my price range ($40k-$50k) and have pretty much made up my mind - an Enzo. Tahoe gets gnarly so the deep V will help a lot with that and I’ll take all the freeboard I can get. I don’t always have a big crew, usually only 4-5 people and often a dog or two so I don’t “have” to have the biggest boat but I hate being cramped so I’d like all the room I can get. That being said, I’m wondering which model would work best for Lake Tahoe and also, any features that are must haves or years or features to avoid. Tahoe is at 6,200ft so performance is something to consider. From what I’ve read, the SV230 requires substantially less ballast than the SV240 to get a proper wave. With that in mind am I wrong to assume that the 230 would have better performance with the same engine? Obviously I’ll ensure to prop correctly but I’d like to set myself up for success wherever possible. Ideally, I’d love to find a 244 or 233 as we rarely use our bow and would really enjoy the extra room in the cockpit. Maybe the 233 would be perfect as it should take less weight, and probably has as much cockpit space as the 240? The problem here is that it’s really hard to find a 233 or 244 within my price range. I wish I could just bite off a little more but our season is short and I have a lot of other hobbies competing for my interest. I just really can’t justify it. So, which boat would you recommend? Should I automatically omit any of these with the small engine? Any and all advice is welcomed! Thanks in advance!!
  6. I recently purchased a 2014 SV 244 and could barely put gas in it while on the trailer. I was told once it's in the water it should be fine to fuel up (great, more expensive gas). Yesterday the fuel gage was jumping between 0-4 so time to fuel up. I looked and saw the tank is 64 gallons. I hit 25 gallons and the nozzle clicked off. I opened the other side fuel cap, pulled the nozzle out a bit and filled it REALLY slow. After about 10 gallons (and 15 minutes) of clicking on and of I finally grew tired of the task and went surfing. While leaving the dock the fuel gauge read 64-75. Any tips on filling these up? Thanks in advance.
  7. So I just purchased a 2013 sv244 with 250 hours. I read the pcm manual regarding winterizing. It has a raw water flow page that was very informative. Essentially you pull out plugs at 7 locations and the water all drains out. The remainder of the cooling system is sealed with antifreeze like a normal vehicle engine. I used a hydrometer to check that the antifreeze was good to -35 degree. I pulled out all the raw water plugs. Fogged the cylinders by pulling out the spark plugs. Filled the tank and added stabilizer. Drained the large low pressure fuel cartridge because it says that water can get collected in it. Took out the batteries. I will change the oil, oil filter, tranny fluid, and fuel filter in the spring. Should this be sufficient for for the winter (we live in Canada)? The boat has 6 pumps for the ballast tanks. The hoses coming in and out of each pump are see through and you can see that there isn't any water in the hoses. I figured this should be ok. Is this a mistake?
  8. Hey all, new boat owner and happy to be part of the Centurion family. Just purchased a 2016 Centurion Enzo SV244 a month ago and have about 42 hrs on it. Getting a GREAT surf wave for left foot forward surfers (which is nice because everyone in my family surfs that side) but REALLY struggling to get a good enough wave with some push for my goofy footed friends. Kind of frustrating, seeing that my goofy footed friends have all wrigged up their much older boats and have a much better goofy wave. The wave is clean but I just can't seem to get it steep enough and definitely does not have the curl like my regular side. Any recommendations for setup? (CATS, Tabs, QuickSurf, etc) Spent an hour last night just tinkering with all of the different settings and still can't get a great wave. Thanks
