I have basically the same boat you're looking at ('16 instead of a '15) but they're the same.  You won't need any bags on the floor.  You can get the same wave as shown in the videos easily with that boat.

I have QuickSurf on mine as well but don't use it.  The wave is better without it.

I'm super interested in this comment.  One of the reasons that I'm looking at the '15 is quick surf.  My family is mixed regular and goofy and we switch all the time.  Are you moving ballast around?

  2. Thanks...I've been reading up. The one I'm looking at is a '15 with quicksurf, ram fill, and plug and play. I'm trying to get a feel for if I can get a wave like this without bags on the floor.  I'm coming from a 2012 Malibu vlx and a key reason  for my wife is if we can get bags off the floor!  I'm assuming with quick surf you have the advantage of having all ballast full and could get a great wake but would love confirmation!

    thanks again!

  3. Hi everyone,

I'm a current Malibu owner, and I'm looking at an out of state used 2015 SV233.  I've read decent reviews and info on here, and I've seen the new 2017's here in person at the dealership.  But, I've actually never seen the SV233 in person.  Before I write a big check, I'd love to see if there is anyone in the Seattle area who would be willing to let me take a quick look at their boat before I pull the trigger.

    Thanks!

  5. I'm looking at a '16, and it has the surf system and the PnP.  It's under 50 hours and it sounds like it is in new condition with the first major service completed.

In my current boat I have 1250 hard tank ballast, and I run 800 PnPs in the lockers and usually an 800 on the floor.  If I do the PnP's and a bit of lead I shouldn't need any seat or floor ballast for a great surf wave?  (my current boat has left rotating prop so I have the opposite problem...always perfect goofy wave and less so regular).

  6. Hi everyone,

I'm brand new to the forum, because I'm considering switching from my current 2012 Malibu 21 VLX to a super low hour S238.  I'd love some quick feedback.  I am planning on using it mostly for surfing with a little cruising around thrown in.  I'd love to surf before I buy, but it's out of town so it would be tough to pull off.  The surf reviews sound great, but I'd love to know if all of you actual owners feel the same way.  We have 4 regular surfers and 1 goofy in the family, so we do switch it up.  Also, anything special I should be aware of in these boats either to make sure it has, or to watch out for?

    Thanks in advance!
