That is kinda strange, I answer my emails everyday. What email address have you been using? You can email me at: waketheworld@earthlink.net.
  3. The 6th annual Wake N Flake 2014 is scheduled for March 1st. This is our yearly tradition of celebrating the transition from one board sport to the next by doing both on the same day. Boat dealers across NC and one in TN bring out their latest models for you try out or you can pick one of 2 cable parks; Jibtopia or Hexagon. That's 10 locations to choose from! That evening everyone converges on Appalachian Ski Mt. for some snowboarding during the night session. The cost is $75, includes wakeboarding, lunch, a lift ticket and a hooded sweatshirt. Proceeds benefit Wake the World. You can find out more and/or sign up on the web site http://www.wakenflake.com
  4. More than 250 Wakeboard boats!

You guys are awesome! These events are so incredible. Not only are you doing something awesome for the kids, you are also creating long lasting friendships. You will not believe the high caliber of people that volunteer for these events. I feel especially blessed because I know or have met most of them. There have also been a few romances that began at a WTW event. I try make it to as many events as I can, but it has become impossible (and I am thankful that there are more events than I can go to) I try to make it to all the new events especially if they have never done an event. The kids will absolutely melt your hearts......I absolutely love being there to share that joy!

  15. Wake the World Arizona Oct. 13th!

We would love to see an event in North Florida! We had someone that we thought could do it but he got sent overseas for work. We are just waiting for someone to step up to the plate. We are in the process of making several "how to" Wake the World videos. We will start an aggressive online campaign for more events in late October/ early November. That way it will give people plenty of time to plan their event and I will be able to help more. After February it starts getting hectic with several boat shows, fundraising and event planning. I have 8 email contacts for Florida, If you haven't received an email from me personally, then I don't have your info yet. waketheworld@earthlink.net

  24. The Wake the World family is growing really fast! Can't wait to get this summer started! Here in NC we actually start tomorrow (March 4th) with our Wake N Flake FUNdraiser event. Boat dealers across our state provide brand new wakeboard boats for more than 80 riders at 4 different lakes. Then in the evening everyone comes together to snowboard at Appalachian Ski Mountain. With riders, boat drivers and volunteers we will have around 110 people involved. Wake N Flake is our largest event for riders. Wake the World events in the summer for the kids is really what it is all about. This summer we are estimating that we will have 500 volunteers, more than 225 boats at 20+ locations play host to around 1000 kids this summer! WOW!! Boat owners are some of the most awesome people!
  25. Wake N Flake!

It's that time of year. Snowboarding, Boat shows then wakeboarding! It is also nearing time for one of my favorite days... Wake N Flake!! This is our 4th year for this transitional event. We wakeboard, eat lunch, then go snowboarding in the evening. This is the main FUNdraiser for Wake the World. Wake N Flake is March 4th.
