@ oldwakedude, if I place in a contest it's more luck than anything else.
I won't be hosting any events this year, my mom had a stroke on Halloween and her husband is turning 90 this year, so I have my hands full assiting them. However, I did get a call from Chris Walker at USA WB offering me 1/2 a day at the Lower Castaic lake at the a$$ end of a wakeboard contest. I passed the offer over to a few folks, but I haven't followed up with any of them. The Wake9 folks are planning a number of events this year and I know that the MoB Group and Rick Rock want to do some demo days, so it could be something will be happening down SoCal way. |

I believe your luck is similar to Gary Player and Arnold Palmer's: "more I practice, the luckier I get". So stop practicing and let the rest of us get lucky I hear ya on the stroke, my dad did that years back. My oldest thought it was fun, grandpa was learning to write again just like she was (she was seven). Fortunately for us grandpa made a full recovery and is having a good time motor-homing around the country (but he is young, only 86). ![]() A Good Day is On the Water.
