  1. anyone else had this issue as it's leaking so badly my boat was sinking and the boat was bought new only 2 years ago! We found out that the bilge pump is not connected directly to the batteries as well so when I shut off the battery switch there is no bilge. It caused my boat to take on a lot of water as it sat for a couple of weeks and water was ready to come into the passenger compartment of the boat as it was filling up so high. If you run the boat water is spraying all over the engine compartment so it's now out of the water. I called the factory and they said the warranty is only 1 year and we should be checking the engine aligment every year and it was not their issue and they have not seen this problem at all. we pulled the boat out of the water and the mechanic check showed the engine is straigth but support at the front , I think you call it a strut is installed out of aligmnet at the factory causing the stuffing box to fail as it has major wear on one side. Now we have to shim up the strut or maybe even do some fibre glass work to get it in aligment. I called the factory and their comment was it's a hand made boat and is not going to be perfect! Yes, that is what they said. So now it's in the shop with a big bill coming to fix the problem and my mechanic says he has done several centurians over the last year with the same problem and also says he shouldn't have to check aligmnents on a boat every year and certainly not one this new. Is anyone else having this issue with there stuffing box?. My boat is a 2010 avalance and I have found out since I bought it it is goofy propped even though the saleman and the factory didn't know that. If you look at the wave it is obvious and someone at Centurian told me all 2010 avalanches are goofy propped as they had a viabration problem so to solve the issue they put walter transmissions in them to fix the problem. I've also had electrical problems. Did I get a lemon? has anyone else had these issues with their centurian like these. Does anyone else think the arguement that it's handmade is valid so I should be preapared that things will not be lined up correctly as a good argument and be prapred to spend a gand or two to fix this problem? This is my first surf boat and it's wave but my mechanic is saying sell it and buy something better. Any comments as I'm kinda feeling like he may be right.....
