  1. Hey guys, First time post here and I am going crazy trying to figure out 2 problems. I am pulling my hair out! Problem #1 - I have 3 ballast tanks. My center ballast tank is run on a Jabsco reversible pump. It will fill just fine, but was blowing a fuse when flipping the switch to drain. I replaced the fuse and the pump. I thought it was the pump. It will fill just fine, but when I click it to drain, I get nothing. No power, no noise, nothing. The tank is full and I can't drain it. Also, when I flip it to "fill", water is coming out of 2 holes on the side of the boat. I know 1 is an overflow and that is normal when it is full, but why is it coming out of 2. Any advice? I really don't want to take this to the dealer for the stupid ballast pump. Problem #2 - My red V-drive light on the boat is random. When I go to start the boat, it comes on when the key is turned to the "on" position. When I actually start the boat, it goes off. It stays off and then will randomly come on at about 3,000 RPM's, but only sometimes. This is around 24mph. Then when I back off the throttle, the light goes off. After riding for a bit, it will come back on again. It is random. Oil level looks good and oil is clean. I checked the oil in 1 spot. Is there another area I need to check the oil? It appears this is a PCM V-drive. Any help on these would be great. I am somewhat mechanically inclined and would like to avoid a dealer if I could. Thanks so much!
  2. I have a PCM ZR409 engine, version without antifreeze (water circulates in the block and manifolds). The problem started two years ago. The symptoms are the same as here: http://www.centurioncrew.com/index.php?/forums/topic/11155-fault-codes/ Also errors SPN: 441, 442. This year, after reopening, first these errors were issued even at idle. After replacing the impeller and thermostat, the problem began to appear only on the go under load, as in the past two seasons. When I ride a wakeboard, or when I go with a left wave for a surfer (the load is more), I get errors on overheating of one or two collectors. Occurs after approximately two minutes of wakeboarding or five minutes of surfing. At the time of the error, the emergency mode is activated for a short time, after a few seconds of reset, the power itself is restored. This is enough for the wave to break and the rider to fall. But if the engine is turned off at this moment, the water circuit starts to go crazy: it makes sounds of hissing or gurgling in the area where water enters from the v-drive into the thermostat housing, and pressure drops in the cooling system are felt on all soft hoses, video How soft hoses twitch and shrink for a second. As if the water boils in the hoses for a second, then it does not boil for two seconds, and history repeats itself. After ten seconds of idling - everything is fine until I again give the load. The following work was carried out: replacing the impeller assembly with the housing, replacing the thermostat assembly with the housing, checking all the hoses, flushing the engine and transmission heat exchangers, flushing the manifolds with acid (now they shine like new inside), replacing the emwt sensors, checking the v-drive on object of contamination. Can exhaust risers affect overheating in this way? Has anyone encountered such a problem?
  3. Hey Crew, 2014 SV233. There is water in my Starboard (driver's side) cylinders. None in the port. Clean lake water. About 1/2 cup total. No coolant. Oil is clear. No water in oil. Oil level is not rising. No water in Port side. There were no issues prior to the winter. I had the boat "winterized" and "de-winterized." When I let the cylinders dry, the boat runs well until I stop. When I stop, I don't turn off the engine (to assure there is exhaust and no opportunity for water to back-flow). I did have one issue last year with overheating. My boat did not come with a freshwater strainer. Debris from the lake destroyed my impeller and the boat overheated. After the impeller was repaired, the boat worked well the rest of the summer. I am getting codes 1325 and 1326 FMI 31. My dealer lost their license and the dealership when to another local dealer. Both shops are great but I am the only one that "owns" the problem. Any ideas? Blake
  4. What oil does everyone like for their PCM Engine? I have a 2010 PCM ZR-409 that calls for 15W-40 GF-4/SM and I'm wondering what brand people like the best. Your thoughts would be appreciated.
