2003 Centurion Typhoon impellar replacement

Hello First time post and new user. I purchased a 2004 Centurion Typhoon last year from my co-worker and love the boat. I decieded to change oil, plugs, all filters, and replace waterpump impellar. I ran the boat prior to this to warm motor for oil change. Everything worked great. I change the impellar and now it is overheating?? I even took out and reinstalled to make sure everything was right. Impellar direction, inspect impellar, etc. Everything looks correct, re-install and same issue. I even opened lower blue petcock and seems to not be pumping water from inlet. Also, not getting water out the exhaust flaps. Seems like it needs primed, yet I know these pumps don't really require this? Does anyone have any thoughts. I actually bought two impellars and was thinking I would truy putting second one in? Any thoughts would be great. Thanks so much, Guy
