  1. I have recently changed my impeller on my raw water pump and as I was putting it back together I forgot what hose goes where. I took it all apart over a month ago when I didn’t get finished and had to leave for my 20 day hutch and my memory of what goes where is lost. It’s an OEM mercruiser water pump. One of the inlets/outlets is small and the other is larger
  2. So i had a service done on my 07 Avalanche. I got the oil changed, trans serviced, fuel filters, and spark plugs. So i take my boat out today fresh back from the service. Here is where everything goes wrong. The boat keeps dying, i figure since they changed both fuel filters that it might have some air in the line or something. It starts clearing up so im like we are good...Wrong... Bilge pump kicks on.. Thats odd i think...so look down in engine bay, full of water.... Long story short make it back to marina with bilge pumping continuously. After searching for the problem i find that a hose was left disconnected from underneath the exhaust. Boat never overheated or anything, but i was loosing power as i was trying to speed back to the marina. I think everything is OK but there was a lot of water in the boat. Do you think it was possible that some water got into the transmission? the water was almost up to the dipstick on the transmission I say that water could have splashed up to it. I dont know that it could get in, but that is why i am asking what i should do. SHould i take it back and get dude to change trans fluid, is there anything else that i should get him to check. Are there some bigger issues that i need to address? I dont want to bash the guy he is really good and I have took my boat to his shop several times this was just a overlook on his part. Mistakes happen, but this one almost cost me my boat.
