  1. So I'm having some issues getting my 2000 Eclipse to crank over and start. I think it may be the NSS since I'm not losing power across the dash and the fuel pump and solenoid make their typical sounds. The problem is that the engine won't kick over when it's in neutral, but when I jiggle the throttle controls it tries to crank before, what seems like, the electrical contact is broken during the jiggling action. I assume it's the NSS or alignment issues with my shift and throttle cables. My questions are... On a 2000 Eclipse, is the NSS located behind the throttle/shifter control set or at the trans? How do I test to verify the NSS is the problem? What is the best way to make certain the throttle and shift cables are adjusted correctly? I have to assume that I'm dealing with original cables and switches, so I fully expect them to be worn and dying. I'm very mechanical and confident I can fix the problems if I have a little background before jumping in... Thanks for any help you guys may be able to lend me.
