V226 Prop/Bilge Questions
kmul38 posted a topic in Supreme Boat Maintenance, Performance, Troubleshooting
Just bought 2013 V226 with Indmar 409 - love it - but have some newb questions. Prop - Anyone know the stock prop that came on that boat? Looked could find any numbers on it, running at 687' elevation, very little acceleration, not much low end, even when empty. Down wind, smooth water, empty, max out at 4k RPM/~40mph, bringing people back to dock, 9 people, no ballast, could only pull ~3k RPMs/maybe 15-18mph. Little scared to load it up with ballast. Thinking ACME 1433 prop might help on the low end and acceleration, don't care if I lose some top end. Bilge Pump - during the day, mostly when floating, bilge pump came on a LOT, run for 20-30 seconds or longer, full stream of water. Is this normal? Thinking Direct Drive seal might need repair/replace (doesn't even look like there's a seal there)? Appreciate any input. -
I currently own a 2007 240 Enzo. It's a great family boat and we love the amount of floor space for the kids to cruise around and on. I just took a ride on the Ri237, it's a great boat but It doesn't have the floor space. What do you think, should I get a Ri237 or the FS44? I love the hammerhead bow on the FS44. What to do for a good wake surf and family boat! Thanks!

Have a 2010 falcon v 353. It came with a 537 prop. I can only get 4900 rpm and 40mph. Our lake is at 2800 ft. Thinking of going to a 1433 prop as that is the one listed on the acme site for high elevation.. Anyone try this prop?

Bow bounces across the water
kylesullens posted a topic in Centurion Boat Maintenance, Performance, Troubleshooting
99 Elite VDrive. Had the boat about 4 years. Runs like a top. However, I rarely get a smooth ride when at more than a fast idle. At high RPMs or WOT, the bow of the boat bounces, sometimes quite violently. Something is out of alignment, because a boat this long should glide across the water (especially glass!) without so much as a bump. I have the small metal plate below the exhaust ports that is quasi-adjustable. Dealers and mechanics tell me to drop that down as far as it will go. I've done that (in both directions), and there is only marginal improvement. Any suggestions on what to do here? Is there an aftermarket wake plate (?) product that will give me a smooth ride? Thanks for any info
