  1. hey guys, i have a 08 falcon V and i am looking to change the burnt transom light. do any of you know how to do that? Looks like the exterior portion of the light enclosure is threaded, do any of you know if it unscrews or if i need to replace the whole enclosure? Thanks for your help! Breezer
  2. I can not get surf lights and interior lights to function at the same time, can only have one or the other. They are on the same teeter switch. Has anyone else had this problem, if so, how did you fix it? It seems like they left a jumper wire out.
  3. LED Lights

Guys, I'm thinking about upgrading the transom lights on my 2012 centurion Enzo 240 plus. I bought it used and I can't tell if the LED lights are burnt out/weak or if the manufacturer lights are just really low lumens? I'm thinking about replacing with these? http://www.bluewolfinc.com/lifeform-6-underwater-led-light/ Or should I just get factory replacement LEDs. Thoughts?
  4. Well, I spent a good part of the weekend installing a few upgrades, and they went OK for the most part. I installed 2 Skylon Gladiator Tower lights after seeing them on a new Enzo at the boat show. They were fairly easy to install, and once i figured out the factory wiring, we were in business. I have attached a picture showing the brightness. It is pretty impressive considering there are only 3 LED's per side. See attached Pic. My only complaint is that it is only held on to the tower bracket with a small allen screw. This means that is has to be very tight to keep it from falling off into the lake. The downside of this is that you can't rotate it when it is tightened down. I was hoping to be able to spin them forward when landing into my slip at night. Has anyone figured out a way around this? After that went ok, I dove into the SeaBlaze 3 (blue/white) transom lights. This is where i encountered a few issues installing the 1st one, so i put the brakes on until i figure it out. Like most people, I prefer not to drill holes in things that float below the water line. I'd read that you wanted to keep them as low as possible to keep them in the water. I took this as close to the exhaust as possible. I took a few quick measurements, and thought i'd be able to get it right next to the exhaust and be able to drill a 1/2" hole straight through the transom. This turned out to be a mis-calculation on my part. On the inside, I measured from the edge of the exhaust pipe, but the outside, the exhaust flappers add about 3/4" of an inch. This resulted in my 1/2" hole going into the sealed foam that surrounds the stringer. In order to get the wire through into the engine compartment, i had to drill a hole into the fiberglass stringer. Thus, I had to feed the wire through the hole and then make a 90 degree turn to get the wire into the engine compartment. I am not sure how big of a deal this is if it gets sealed up extremely well, but it can't be good. I used a string and a shop-vac to make a pull string. As you can see the light, looks good, but I have yet to seal it. I was hoping someone could provide me with some tips on how to ensure I get both holes sealed up. The last thing I want is to wave water come in and saturate the stringer, and not know because i have the other hole into the engine compartment sealed. Any Tips? I bought 3M 5200 sealant, but the instructions explictly state not to use it. They recommend 4200 or DAP's marine sealant. My guess is because it would make it very tough to remove if you have a problem with one of the lights. Also, I haven't installed the 3 mounting screws. Will the Epoxy alone hold it if I use the 5200? The Screws have plastic sleeves, but if i use them the would force me to drill a larger pilot hole. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions. Also, since I haven't done the other one yet, do you think I should do it in the same spot, or move it up about 6" to avoid the stringer. Thanks, Scott
