  1. I have a 2020 ZS232 and have had an alarm a couple of times and while investigating I had unplugged a couple of sensors such as the oil pressure sensor while the boat was running and I realized that I did not see a dash warning such as a check engine light. Do these boats not have an engine light or dash warning system for engine malfunctions? What about stored code access? If there is a malfunction system, can stored code data be accessed via the touch screen? Thanks for all the help!
  2. 08' SV240 6.2 Black scorpion (old school gen 2 SBC) rear engine / V-drive Winterized the motor as I always have, drained the manifolds and lower water pump, reinstalled the plugs, and filled with antifreeze from the T-stat housing.... This year, on it's first run of the year, noticed it was leaking a LOT of water out of the bellhousing. I must have had a frost plug come out behind the flywheel. Right now, it's Schrodinger's cat... it could be dead or it could be alive, but either way, I need to pull the engine to find out. (makes good power, no water in oil, fingers crossed it's just the frost plug) I've pulled motors in mercruiser alpha / bravo setups before, but never with a V-drive. I'm *hoping* I could unbolt the engine from the V-drive, slide it forward (towards the back of the boat) and lift it up and out. Is that possible? The main engine mounts look like big single studs, not sure how it would be able to slide away from the V-drive. Is there a how to somewhere? A video? a post with pictures? I have a forklift, and man power.... but I really don't want to have to mess around with the V-drive if I can avoid it...
  3. Hey Crew, 2014 SV233. There is water in my Starboard (driver's side) cylinders. None in the port. Clean lake water. About 1/2 cup total. No coolant. Oil is clear. No water in oil. Oil level is not rising. No water in Port side. There were no issues prior to the winter. I had the boat "winterized" and "de-winterized." When I let the cylinders dry, the boat runs well until I stop. When I stop, I don't turn off the engine (to assure there is exhaust and no opportunity for water to back-flow). I did have one issue last year with overheating. My boat did not come with a freshwater strainer. Debris from the lake destroyed my impeller and the boat overheated. After the impeller was repaired, the boat worked well the rest of the summer. I am getting codes 1325 and 1326 FMI 31. My dealer lost their license and the dealership when to another local dealer. Both shops are great but I am the only one that "owns" the problem. Any ideas? Blake

  21. We just bought a new (to us) a 2001 Ski Centurion Elite. we do a lot of our own work and upkeep on or boats. We would like to know what others do to work on or in the engine compartment? Can't remove the dividers. Has anyone have suggestions? Modification if they did? Would love to know and or pictures.
  22. hello, so bought my first centurion last year and had a great season with it, no problems, everything worked great. I put it into a nice heated storage building over the winter and now that summer is finally here, the boats broke! Been stalking the forum for some time without any luck so far, figured I would post on here, share some info and maybe it will help others in the future once I get my problem figured out. The deal is, when cold boat starts right up, runs no problem at all. after about 6 minutes a single beep goes off, the engine surges about 2 or 3 times and it dies. it will start and run again no problem for about 2 minutes, than same thing. it will do this about 4 times and after that runs for only about 3 seconds and dies right away. Let it sit overnight and the process is exactly the same. I really think it is a temperature related problem. I purchased a scan tool for it to check for codes, only 4 codes set and they will not clear out, just come right back. code 75 fuel level 1 circuit high, code 119 steering position circuit low, code 104 lake/seawater temp circuit high, code 191 fuel level 2 circuit high. from what I understand all these codes are normal to be set due to the fact this engine does not have these sensors. so it is not setting any codes that are related to the problem. also noticed with the scan tool when streaming data, when the engine beeps and begins to surge, the scan tool data values disappear, scan tool stays powered up, the paramaters stay there, but its like the screen freezes. eventually a loss of communication message appears. engine shuts down, and I can back out of the screen and go back into it and everything is fine. engine will start right back up without any problems until it happens again. also noticed with the scan tool a guardian mode parameter and a engine power displayed in percentage. both stay at a normal reading with power at 100%. so far I have ruled out overheating, coolant temp doesn't go above 165. removed coolant hoses with engine running, plenty of water flow, also has a new impellar with stainless plate. I did notice, port side exhaust manifold riser stays cold to the touch, starboard riser gets fairly hot, not burning your hand but very big temperature difference. don't think its an issue, was just wandering if this was normal battery voltage with scan tool, gauge on dash, and checking voltage at both batteries with multimeter always shows above 13 volts with engine running. don't believe there is a battery or charging system problem. playing with the lanyard does not seem to effect how long it runs, seems to run the same amount of time no matter what, goes through a similar cycle each time, almost like its more of a heat soak kind of problem. also the gauges do not loose power at any point so I don't think it could be an ignition switch problem either. the engine surges up and down and dies. I really am leaning towards a faulty ecm, just seems like every single time the beeper goes off and it acts up, the computer goes haywire and bugs out. my engine serial number is om395784 it is a 5.7 black scorpion. the boat is a 2004 avalanche c4 I'm really hoping somebody else has ran into a similar situation and could help, but if not, at least I can add some knowledge to the forum and maybe someday help somebody else out
  23. I had a couple of engine codes pop up on my 2011 Enzo 230+ today. DTC2140 FPP2 lower than normal DTC2126 FPP1-2 higher than normal % accel pos2 volt below normal Anyone have any experience with these or know what they mean? Thanks
  24. I have a 2004 Centurion Enzo SV230 and the latch that keeps the engine compartment seems like it's about to go bad. Does anyone know the replacement part ? thank you !
  25. Hello, I own a 2008 Enzo SV 220. Recently I have been having an issue with the boat slipping under a load (surfing) or accelerating hard. The engine compartment recently had quite a bit of water in it. We had a big rain storm and for some reason the bilge was not pumping out any water? From looking at posts on this site sounds like I may have water in the transmission oil and/or the Vdrive. Does my boat have a Vdrive and a transmission. The boat is 3 hours away and I need to pick up fluids in the city here. Can some body let me know what transmission oil I need and what fluid for the Vdrive? (Walter). Am I on the right track here. Is this actually my issue? Boat only has 120 hrs. Thanks for responses. Mike
