  1. Right now I just have a cooler stashed behind my drivers seat. But I’m thinking about building a bench style seat that goes behind the drivers seat. Anyone do something in that area?
  2. Got around to installing our ‘02 Elite V’s battery charger/maintainer that it got for Xmas this weekend. I really didn’t have a great spot in our boat, so I built a mounting rack I thought someone else might be able to use. I installed in the left rear locker close to the batteries. The charger I got was a Cabela’s 2-bank 12a model - Pro Series Onboard 12. Cabela’s unit appears to have everything in a high-end charger without the Minn-Kota price, including all the steps for charming to maintaining, and able to charge 12a to a single battery if needed. It will handle flooded lead-acid & AGM batteries. They run $149-169 in the catalog, but we found all the Cabels units on sale in a store in Waco, TX, and this one was for $109. https://www.cabelas.com/product/CABELAS-PRO-SERIES-ON-BOARD-CHARGER/2416312.uts Required items: - Battery Maintainer 2-bank - Treated 2x10 cut to 28” length - Bunk Felt (Academy) - Spay paint/cheap - (2) 3” x 3/8”-18 SS Bolts, lock washers, nuts and oversized washers Tools: Saw, drill/bits, staple gun, scissors, hammer, tape measure Install: Measure location for board height in locker location Cut wood and take off extra 1/4” (for felt overlap when you wrap board) Paint board to help seal wood Fit wood into position - assist w/hammer Drill 1/4” pilot holes through fiberglass and wood - repeat w/ 3/8” bit Remove board and wrap in felt - fold felt like wrapping a package - staple Reinstall board - assist w/ hammer - make sure you have tight friction fit Install hardware Run wiring to batteries and install connections Mount Battery Maintainer to board Plug in -
  3. Hey Crew, I'm working on tuning my surf wake on my '06 Elite V Air Warrior, and need some help. I'm a big dude, 6'3" 265 or so. Just purchased a Doomswell Neo 4'10" and can ride all day in the pocket now, but the problem is I can't seem to lengthen the pocket. I'm literally 2 feet behind the platform for the best drive. Setup: 2x750's in the lockers Suckgate (which I wish could go lower on the hull, but can't due the the step in the Elite V) 250 Center Ballast full Integrated bow sac (probably 300lb full) - I've played with this weight the most since it seems to create noticeable change. Often it's just me and my wife in the boat since we like to go after work during the week to enjoy the glass. I've noticed a good bit more push when I have additional folks in the boat, but unfortunately have had limited surf time under these conditions since there's always kids that want to.... you guessed it, tube. Any pointers are greatly appreciated.
  4. Hey Guys, new to the forum and been learning so much. Keep up the awesome posts !!! Just bought a 2011 elite V - Enzo's we're out of range this time around and here's the upgrade plan for this spring: - 750lbs upgrades in rear lockers - 650 lbs integrated bow - 400 lbs roller (to place port or starboard), we'll ride light, 4/5 people, 2 kids - factory Center 250lbs Boat comes with Bennett tab but I'm reading about A plates (you guessed it, I'm on the dark side...) worth it? What am I missing? (Besides moving the lake we're on 2000 miles south...) Any advice appreciated. Cheers.
  5. Sub Location

Hi all. First time question poster, long time reader... Question is, I'm struggling with finding the correct Sub application / combination in my boat. Everything sounds great except the sub. It's loud and goes deep, but just sounds muddy and boomy not all the time, but most of the time. Current set up is an Alpine MRP M1000 amp pushing a Rockford Fosgate 12" P3 Sub in a ported 13"X16"X18" pre-built box. My boat is a 2000 Elite V with the famous footrest under the helm, and fiberglass box that the driver seat sits on. Awesome combination when trying to stuff a box under the helm... See attached picture of current set up. My question is, should I go non-ported, fire the sub at the hull, build a custom box, or ??? What have others done that sounds great in a similar boat? I would appreciate any and all suggestions
  6. Hi Guys Just have to say that this site becase my bible after pruchasing my Green Machine 12 months ago so thank you all for sharing your experiences and knowledge. Thought I would post some pics of the custom cup holder inserts I fabricated for my rig to replicate the newer models. Let me know your thoughts. I have also had the biminy recovered, re powder coated the tower, inserted new carpet in and added a stereo and replaced the centurion letterin on the back. Love tweaking my ride. Now all I want to do is re powdercoat the trailer.
  7. Took my new-to-me 05 Centurion Elite C4 on its maiden voyage today. Everything all good except I have no speedo and the steeringwheel (rudder) seems to be 90 deg off to the port side (pulls starboard when positioned straight). I guess my question is, what are some things or logical steps to troubleshoot speedo now that its in my driveway AND can a guy align the rudder and wheel pretty easily? I'm no stranger to the wrenches, just looking for some "check this first" advice before I get to tearing into it, I'd like to get back on the lake fully working ASAP! Thanks in advance! (originally posted in general, but realized post belonged here)
  8. I am just about to undertake a full rewire of my 2002 Hurricane Elite V. The previous owners have made a mess of it and its time to sort it out. If anyone has any wiring information on early model Elite V's I would really appreciate any and all help! Cheers
