Anchor Lines
All Anchor Lines are American made with the very best quality solid braid polypropylene line. Anchor Lines come with the CenturionCrew.Com stacked logo at the base of the pre-spliced loop. The pre-spliced loop comes with a stainless steel thimble which provides excellent protection against chafing and wear.Each line has a built in memory making them easy to case/coil without kinking. Below are some of the characteristics and benefits of solid braid polypropylene:
- Floats and less likely to get caught in propeller
- UV Protected so Dock Lines will not fade in the sun
- Do not absorb moisture
- Ropes remain soft
- Will not dry out and become brittle or rough
- Can be stored wet and will not rot or mildew
- Resistant to oils, grease, and saltwater

Suggested rope diameter determined by Boat Length:
Under 20 feet = 3/8 inch diameter rope
20 feet to 30 feet = 1/2 inch diameter rope
31 feet to 50 feet = 5/8 inch diameter rope
Suggest Anchor Line length ratio for shallow water mooring:
Normal Weather: use a 7 to 1 ratio
Foul Weather: use a 10 to 1 ratio
Anchor Holding Power:
Consider the following ratios and percent of anchor holding power
2:1 = 10 percent, 3:1 = 40 percent, 5:1 = 70 percent, 10:1 = 100 percent
Example: For a 20 foot depth and a ratio of 5:1, length of anchor line needed is 100ft or [5 x 20].
