  1. Start making plans for the 25th of September 2015 This year we are moving the CCC Weekend up two weeks, so on Friday the 25th of September CenturionCrew members, family and friends will begin to descend on Bethy Creek Resort near the town of Riverside, Texas an hour north of Houston. For a weekend of fun on the water, full of Centurion boats and water related activities. We choose to have the event this late in the season to give the crew members to the north a chance to ride and possibly make this their last ride of the season. The fun of an event like this is that everyone shares their boats, boards and has a blast riding and hanging out with friends. The core group will arrive Friday morning to start setting up for the CCC Weekend. Everyone is welcome to check in when ever they would like and stay as long as they like. Friday - Will be the main arrival day, crew members will check in and get some riding in. That evening CCC will provide an eat and greet meal of sausage wrapped in tortillas along with chips and something sweet. Once everyone has had their fill several wake videos will be shown at the pavilion along with a group fire, giving everyone a chance to meet and put name and faces together. Saturday - Ride Ride Ride and Ride some more, a day full of boat hopping, board swapping, in general spending time and riding with crew members you usually don't get a chance to ride with. Learn some new tricks, try the wake on a different model boat, just get out there and have some fun in the Texas sun. There is a sand bar in front of the resort, the plan is to meet at the sand bar for lunch/break at 2pm and switch up boards, boats and riders, then head back out for more riding. Crew coming in from out of town can rest assure that they will have a boat to jump in and a board to ride behind, so there is no need to bring any boards if you are flying in for the event. After a full day of riding, dinner will be served by CCC which will consist of something really good that has yet to be decided, including something sweet. After the meal, everyone will gather around the fire area for music fun and door prizes. Also, if we can work all the details out, crew members will be able to take hits on the ERC (Endless Ride Cable) 2 tower cable system, boards will be provided or you can use your own. See post below for further information on the cable system which can also be ridden the entire weekend. Sunday - Morning rides depending on your travel plans, there will surely be crew members planning to ride most of the day. So anyone remaining on Sunday will still be able to see some action on the water. For those that are considering flying in from out of town, the Bethy Creek Resort is only 75 miles from IAH (George Bush Intercontinental Airport). There is a chance of talking a local crew member into a ride from the airport or grab the cheapest rental car you can find for the weekend. See post below for directions to the CCC Weekend. If you have any QUESTIONS, Please contact CrewAdmin
  2. Had another pretty great day on the water. IT'S AUGUST BTCHS!! Hands down, best moment of the day And rode for about 10 seconds! It's a good start. He was stoked, so hopefully he's catching the bug. Didn't spend too much time dialling in the wave for my son. This is both rear PNP's and bow plus three people and the fat brick and 20% goofy Ramfill. 10.5MPH My wife shredding the P5 DD carbon. I'm getting better at slashing the wave or snap turns or throwing buckets? Either way, I managed to spray my kid sitting in the back seat today, so, it just put a smile on my face. LOL. Also getting more solid on my surface threes. All in all, we had a pretty damn good day!
  3. i have a friend loking at a 2004 supreme v230 does anyone have experience with this hull does it surf well
  4. anyone know or have any experience with this boat a friend is considering buying one we do not see many of them up here does it produce a wake that is surfable do you have to do lots of mods is it similar to a certain centurion hull
  5. While I've been very happy with my custom ShredStixx board, after trying out a new Soulcraft Emily I think it's time to add a Soulcraft to the quiver. The Emily was a Twin fin but also comes as a Twinzer. After doing a bit of internet searching it would seem that a Twinzer has better hold than a Twin, but not as locked in as a full Quad. Then there's the Sixer... I know I should just get ahold of Jeff and explain what I want, but was hoping that the Crew can give me a little insight to this before taking the next step.
  6. Long time lookielou, first time Centurion owner; went on a 240 last year and the wake blew my mind. Currently, the boat has factory ballast, tabs, but no switchblade. I want to begin my upgrades as soon as possible. Those of you with this boat, what is the ideal ballast setup? My goal is to create the most push possible (our riders will be up to 6'8" 265 lbs), even if this means a reduction in wave length. I plan to have a custom sac installed to max out the port side rear and underseat storage, but what else should I do? Is there anything to be weary of in installing such a large ballast (damage to compartment, to sideswipe exhaust, etc.) Is additional weight on the goofy side necessary beyond the 500 lbs in the factory tanks (assuming we don't intend to surf that side?) I understand additional weight in the back is good to a point, but them may become counterproductive. Will additional port side weight be beneficial beyond the max custom sac (I will not be sure how much weight will be added by the custom sac until I take measurments, but I imagine it will be between 1600-1800 lbs. If additional portside weight is beneficial, where do you put it and in what form (just on top of the seats, etc.)? Sorry to ask such a basic, new-ish question, but there it is I understand that fill times for a custom sac are about 30 mins unless you make rather significant changes to the intakes (caused by, as I understand it, a combination of impeller rates and the sprinkler-style setup). Are there any simple impeller pump upgrades that materially shorten fill times? Before I cut holes into the boat, I want to check Answers to any of these, or even just what you found to be the best setup, would be sincerely appreciated.

  8. On 12/08/2014 Centurion Boats announced the all new Quick Surf System. The new system will be available on Centurion and Supreme boats starting January the 1st, 2015. The new Quick Surf System allows boat owners total control of their wake surfing experience. The Quick Surf System adds a uniquely shaped tab on the port and starboard side of the boat, fully controlled by the Centurion Boats touch vision system. Combined with the CATS system, the Quick Surf System allows boat owners to have more control over the shape of their wake than any other boat on the market to date. Looking from starboard side towards the center of the boat. Looking from port side towards the center of the boat. With the all new Quick Surf System listing the boat is no longer required, simply fill ballast equally on each side and use the Quick Surf System to instantly transfer from Port (regular) to Starboard (goofy) side within seconds using the touch vision system. http://youtu.be/uoPzyK73gXY Combine a Quick Surf System RAMFILL (No Pumps, No Delays, The largest, fastest filling, ballast system in the world) and CATS (Centurion Articulating Tracking System) for the best wakesurfing boat on the market today!

  10. ok, so I went out for a demo today on a new 2014 Axis A24, after everything I have been hearing about Axis and surfgate I must admit I was a bit disappointed. I thought this whole thing about weighting the boat evenly sounds great since we surf both sides and hate having to switch all the ballast, but from what we tried today the wave just wasn't that big or have much push. we filled all the stock ballast plus a 800 plug n play in each corner plus about 700 up front and the driver, surfgate and wedge. our water depth wasn't the best between 17' and 19' but I believe my Avy would do fine at that depth, we usally run at about 27' in it. End result, ill be keeping my 05 Avy for now, or until someone can show me a better surfgate wave than I have now on my C4. has anyone else tried one of these, did you have better luck? did we need more weight? total we had close to 3000lbs.

  12. It has been brought to the attention of Fineline Industries, Inc. that occasionally a DrainMaster valve can become stuck during regular operation. Troubleshooting: If you experience the occasional inoperable or "stuck" RAMFILL or QuickFill valve the procedure below is recommended: #1) Ensure your boat is within the recommended service interval for the hours on your engine. Strict compliance with the service schedule ensures that your boat and installed components receive maintenance including inspection & service by a certified dealer. #2) Validate you have the latest version of the Centurion Touch Vision System Software. You can do this with your local dealer, or by accessing the Touch Vision System screen by touching the "Home" button twice to launch the menu, touch "Menu", touch "System Info"; the display will provide you with the version information. Your dealer can validate you are current, or you can call Centurion Boats at 209-384-0255. #3) Access the manual operation point (fixed red key on valve cartridge) and gently articulate the key 1/4 turn. Do not excessively turn the key, as it is only capable of 1 & 3/8 revolutions in either direction. After you have articulated the key 1/4 turn, the gate should be operable in the following functions: fill, drain and Trailer Mode. Given the robust construction of the new valve assembly, new valves are often tight; the break-in procedure requires regular use of standard modes and “Trailer Mode”, and possibly manual articulation of the red key. * Your boat should always be set to "Trailer Mode" when not in water. When you store your boat, on land, or in a lift the boat should always be set to "Trailer Mode” with the gates open. Ensure your gates have been set to "close" before launching or deploying your boat for the next use. Strict compliance with storage procedures and the "Trailer Mode" with open gates is recommended to ensure your boat is operational and within terms of your warranty. For questions, please see your operation manual or contact Centurion Boats at 209-384-0255. * If you do not have keys in your valve cartridge, contact you local dealer immediately or Centurion Boats at 209-384-0255 and a replacement set with be sent via Next Day Air at no charge. 13. There have been inaccurate reports and photographs of a sunken boat related to RAMFILL. There has never been a sunken RAMFILL equipped boat due to RAMFILL technology. The Centurion Boats R&D department has put boats through countless tests and unusual conditions including occasional submerging, for nearly four decades as a marine manufacturer. Our R&D department takes great pride in destructively torture testing boats, so our customers remain safe and protected. We are proud of every photograph of that sunken boat that has been circulated. During normal destructive testing a boat equipped with RAMFILL in 2013 was submerged in controlled conditions. This boat was submerged on local Lake Yosemite during standard testing of a new inspection device. An inspection lid designed as part of the Centurion Boats EcoConscious Program; was being certified with a team assembled by the R&D department. This large inspection lid was intended to provide visual tank inspection for invasive species and/or water. The use of these lids was proven unreliable by this test and, as a result, the inspection lids were abandoned as a possible inspection solution. Confirmation by destructive testing of these innovations is a key part of Centurions development programs. There are times when destructive testing is the only way to certify a boat and Centurion takes this responsibility very seriously. 14. Centurion is fastest growing among towboat brands Merced, CA JUNE 18, 2014; As of March 2014, Centurion Boats posted a 61% increase in sales according to Statistical Surveys Inc., the most reliable source for tracking new boat sales in the United States. In the first quarter, Centurion posted the highest percent increase among all towboat brands and a full 6% ahead of the next closest competitor. Bryan Holland, Vice President of Worldwide Sales said, “We are very pleased with our sales team’s efforts but the innovations in the 2014 product have made it easier than ever to get new boats placed. The CATS and RAMFILL systems have consumers and dealers alike clamoring for more information about Centurion. It’s a real testament to the high-quality production and significant innovations Centurion is offering now.” As the economy recovers and the people everywhere are beginning to see their personal wealth increase, Centurion, traditionally a smaller market-share holder, is poised for big growth. Bryan Holland went on to say, “We have been opening new dealerships everywhere. It seems like high value dealers are starting to figure out that the towboat business is a good business. Also, this model year we were the first to offer a five-year warranty, something that only one other boat builder is currently doing. This has helped us close a lot deals because it shows the customer that Centurion is ready to back the boat 100% allowing the purchaser peace of mind they’ve never had before.” In the 2014 model year, Centurion reintroduced two impressive innovations. The first was called CATS for Centurion Articulating Tracking System. The CATS system allows the operator to deflect the bow slightly changing the position of the hull for precise displacement providing adjustability and wake shaping. For the first time in wakeboarding towboat history, wakes can be cleaned up instantly without moving people, gear or ballast. For wake surfing, complete control of the face of the wave, direction of power and overall wave shaping is now possible. The second innovation is RAMFILL technology boasting the largest capacity ballast in the industry and the quickest filling system without pumps or sacs. This technology leaves more time for watersports and less time for fidgeting with one’s boat. RAMFILL has been raved about all over the world. Corey Marotta, Vice President of Sales & Marketing of Alliance Multimedia said “RAMFILL is the most efficient way to put a massive amount of water in the quickest time frame to date.” Todd Gaughan, Vice President of Marketing for Centurion said, “Whether you’re a wake surfer, wakeboarder or slalom skier, our R&D team has done an outstanding job producing the best boat in the watersports category. Slalom skiers everywhere regard the Carbon Pro as the very best tournament towboat and now the FX and SV series are getting the same reviews for wake surfing and wakeboarding fans. It’s an exciting time to be with Centurion and the sales report puts an exclamation point on it!” Statistical Surveys, Inc. was founded in 1958 to produce market share data reports for the marine, manufactured housing and recreational vehicle industries. Statistical Surveys specializes in continuously gathering and cleansing new retail registration data and providing clients with up-to-date insights on buyer behavior through a comprehensive suite of market data products and services. Statistical Surveys is based in Grand Rapids, Michigan and its mission statement is simple: They are dedicated to compiling the most accurate data for customers in the most efficient and timely manner possible. 15. WINNINGEST WAKE SURFING ATHLETE ASHLEY KIDD JOINS TEAM CENTURION Merced, CA March 5, 2014; Centurion Boats is proud to announce that nineteen year-old superstar wake surfing athlete; Ashley Kidd from Austin, Texas has joined the Centurion professional wake surfing team. Since 2010, Ashley has landed on the competitive wake surfing podium more than 28 times, a feat that no other athlete can claim. What’s interesting is that Ashley Kidd grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas afraid of the water, but by her on-water accomplishments you would never know it. When she was only fourteen years old, her older brother convinced her to try wake surfing. 17. At the tail end of 2013 deep into December, Centurion Boats invited a few athletes to Parker Arizona for a few casual days of riding behind their 2014 flagships. Aaron Reed, Derek Cook and Scott Stewart scored some of the best riding conditions winter in the desert can offer. The light was unreal and so was the riding.
  18. Got Bored

So, I got bored and decided to channel out a blank I had in the garage. The blank has some significant rocker to it (much like a SS Comp1) which is good!, but boards like that have a tendency to plow if you are heavier than 150lbs. So I channeled the hull flat in the middle to release the water and hopefully speed it up. The only thing is its -30C here (-22F) and it will be a long time before I get to try it! Post paint and glass... no hot coat yet Close up of the logo... Haida sun

  20. Hi all, I just bought an 05 Avalanche C4 Storm series with built in hard sacks for port, starbort, and center. I NEED MORE WEIGHT!! So I was thinking of getting an Enzo Sac for the port side (dont care about the dark side really), and plumbing it into the existing hard sac lines for the port side. What do you think? There is currently a piece of wood screwed in between the rear compartment and the seat, has anybody had problems removing this? In addition I have a Side Swipe exhaust and am worried about the exhaust getting too hot and possibly melting the bag. Should I be worried, is it a problem, should i just build a box around it to protect the sac? What do you think of using the existing pumps, is it really worth it to upgrade price vs. time? Below is a pic of my current setup, 3 sacs around 400# plus 5 people in boat, im really looking to be able to surf with just a spotter and a driver. Thanks, Mark
  21. I have an 06 T5 Comp direct drive. Trying to learn how to wake surf with the boat. It has the rear fat sack above the gas tank. The wake is ok but we need more. Any idea on placement of weight or any past experiences with this boat?

This is to those of you out there who have over come the 360 and are catching massive air. I need your help! I can snap off the wake but get no air. Board is hyperlite coex. Thanks
