  1. Hello everyone!! so, I rebuilt my 87 tru trak 2 from stringers on up . New EVERYTHING,- .. First test run- everything sonds and works great, then as I'm about to put her back on the trailer, I shift into reverse, and POP! driveshaft snaps. It broke right at the rear side of the coupler. The break was clean and the fresh break was very dark in color.. Anybody have any ideas as to what happened, or have see this before?? I dont think my packing was tight... maybe mis alighnment, or previous crack.. any thoughts??? Thanks -Brian
  2. I Just picked up a 1991 Centurion Falcon open bow I bent the prop shaft and can't find any information on the correct size shaft I need there are a ton of falcon shafts out there but none of them match what I measured which is 51"L X 1" o.d I have never heard of a 1" o.d shaft every falcon shaft online ebay etc. are all 1" 1/8 so any help out there as to the size I need or locating a new or used shaft would greatly be appreciated!
  3. Hmmmm good times, I just broke the brand new spanner wrench I bought to remove the packing nut around the shaft seal. So, I've read this thread 10xs and especially the right up on which way is loosey goosey, and the article says wrenches go together to loosen.... Well I cracked the spanner wrench, and the nut has had 3 GOOD PB blaster bathes... What am I doing wrong. Yes a PSS no drip seal is looking good right now, but I'm trying to do this repack without removing the VDrive. http://www.centurioncrew.com/index.php/topic/4760-my-dripdripdrip-is-now-a-trickle/ Is it possible, that the wrench direction is to loosen is to counterclockwise the nut off the shaft? That seems more logical, as the threads on the piece would be normal. Otherwise the threads are backwards. Anyone enlighten me here??
