  1. Guys, I am new to the forum as I just bought my first Centurion a couple weeks ago. It is a 2004 Enzo SV230. My current setup is the factory hard tanks under each side of the boat and 2 540 lb bags (one in each rear locker), plus a delta mission surf shaper. Those are all plumbed in. I own 2 350 lb bags that are not plumbed, but can be filled with a separate pump. Any ideas on the best weight set up to create a good surf wave with enough push? I am still struggling with throwing the rope and consistently staying in the pocket. Once I drift back, it is tough to push back forward. I am 6 foot, 180 lbs and riding a 5 foot 4 inch hyperlite broadcast. Any thoughts on a good board for me? I am fairly new to surfing, but have been wakeboarding my entire life. Thanks for all the input.
  2. Hey guys! First post here but I know I’ve come to the right place! It’s finally time I can justify upgrading my boat to something surfable! I’ve been looking around for the past year or so, comparing different options in my price range ($40k-$50k) and have pretty much made up my mind - an Enzo. Tahoe gets gnarly so the deep V will help a lot with that and I’ll take all the freeboard I can get. I don’t always have a big crew, usually only 4-5 people and often a dog or two so I don’t “have” to have the biggest boat but I hate being cramped so I’d like all the room I can get. That being said, I’m wondering which model would work best for Lake Tahoe and also, any features that are must haves or years or features to avoid. Tahoe is at 6,200ft so performance is something to consider. From what I’ve read, the SV230 requires substantially less ballast than the SV240 to get a proper wave. With that in mind am I wrong to assume that the 230 would have better performance with the same engine? Obviously I’ll ensure to prop correctly but I’d like to set myself up for success wherever possible. Ideally, I’d love to find a 244 or 233 as we rarely use our bow and would really enjoy the extra room in the cockpit. Maybe the 233 would be perfect as it should take less weight, and probably has as much cockpit space as the 240? The problem here is that it’s really hard to find a 233 or 244 within my price range. I wish I could just bite off a little more but our season is short and I have a lot of other hobbies competing for my interest. I just really can’t justify it. So, which boat would you recommend? Should I automatically omit any of these with the small engine? Any and all advice is welcomed! Thanks in advance!!
  3. 08' SV240 6.2 Black scorpion (old school gen 2 SBC) rear engine / V-drive Winterized the motor as I always have, drained the manifolds and lower water pump, reinstalled the plugs, and filled with antifreeze from the T-stat housing.... This year, on it's first run of the year, noticed it was leaking a LOT of water out of the bellhousing. I must have had a frost plug come out behind the flywheel. Right now, it's Schrodinger's cat... it could be dead or it could be alive, but either way, I need to pull the engine to find out. (makes good power, no water in oil, fingers crossed it's just the frost plug) I've pulled motors in mercruiser alpha / bravo setups before, but never with a V-drive. I'm *hoping* I could unbolt the engine from the V-drive, slide it forward (towards the back of the boat) and lift it up and out. Is that possible? The main engine mounts look like big single studs, not sure how it would be able to slide away from the V-drive. Is there a how to somewhere? A video? a post with pictures? I have a forklift, and man power.... but I really don't want to have to mess around with the V-drive if I can avoid it...
  4. 2014 233 Enzo worked great before winter. Winterized and left in a garage. First trip today--no CATs fin movement, no wake plate movement, no valve movement. Valves show they are working on the screen but the CATs and the wake plate don't show any response on the screen. Radio intermittently working. Front ballast pump not working. The screen looks fine and responds to touch otherwise. Any ideas? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

  6. Hello everyone. We are looking at upgrading from our 2005 Moomba Outback to something a bit newer and better set up for surfing. There is a 2009 Enzo SV230 near us, that looks interesting. It seems like this would be a great next boat for us. Question on the ballasts, the add says it has 3,500 lbs plumbed in. Is that the factory system, or does that sound like more ballast than stock? Anything i should be looking at specifically when going to see the boat? Thanks!
  7. Hey question. I have a 2011 Enzo 240 plus and when I press fill on switch Star board mid ballast bag it now fills the port bag ? Same if I fill port bag switch it will fill the star board bag. Super confused it was working perfectly the day before. Any ideas ?????
  8. The speedometer on my 2009 Enzo sv240 won’t register. It’s a gps based speedometer and it doesn’t have a paddle wheel. The gps screen shows my current location but won’t show speed. Any ideas what could be wrong? Is there a specific fuse for the speedometer? It worked fine 2 days ago then all of a sudden it stopped working.

  10. I've been trying to get my local dealer to look into this for me. They emailed Fineline and got an email back with an image of a 3/4" copper valve. They have no idea, I'll take the high road and leave it at that. Does anyone have a dealer or manufacturer contact that they'd recommend and be willing to share? I'm hoping I can order, pay, and have em' shipped to me. Does anyone know the Valtera part #. We have an 2011 Enzo 240+. After all the reading and mixed reviews I'm ready to try the Valtera's and see how it goes. The Drainmasters have not worked well for us. Thanks for your help. We're in Colorado, boat's winterized, almost no snow (snowboarding), moderate drought, dark times.

  12. Hey guys, thanks in advance for any help. I am trying to get a good wake setup on my 2004 c4 avalanche. I can never seem to get it right, I have 750 pounds in the port side locker. I have another 200 I believe in under the seats on the port side. I feel like my wake is very short and doesn't create enough thrust for a 215 pound man. My wife does just fine. I would like a longer cleaner wake. This winter I am going to install a custom automatic system and want to make the right decisions. I was planning on a 1250 pound custom enzo sack that runs under the seat. Thanks.

  14. 2013 Enzo SV244 (pretty close to pristine)

I love this boat! I ordered it new in April 2013. Took delivery in June 2013. It has spent its entire life making people happy on Chautauqua Lake in Western NY. I keep it on a covered lift for our short summer seasons, and in my heated garage in the 8 1/2 months of winter we get here. It has never spent a night in the water - and it has never been exposed to cold temperatures (I still winterize it just in case of furnace failure, but that's never happened). 260 hours of run time on the motor. I ordered the boat the the following: PCM409 engine WakeSurf Team Package- high altitude prop, computer graphic package, pro ballast package (large ballast system under cockpit benches), P-N-P ballast system (large ballast system in aft lockers), quick fill (under-floor quick fill hard tanks), bow ballast system, Centurion Switch double surf swivel racks IceBreaker Package - heater with blower system, heated driver seat, cockpit wind dam Jazz It Up Package - stainless bling bling package, Daytona windshield, underwater led lights, docking lights Amphitheater III Sound System - includes WetSound SYN4 amp, WetSound SYN2 Amp, WetSound Rev8-C tower speakers, WetSounds AS10 500 watt sub with enclosure plus WetSounds speakers in the bow and cockpit of the boat. Upgraded Trailer Package with swing away tongue and spare tire Custom Deckadence Flooring - This has Centurion Enzo SV-244 logo (apparently this is no longer available). I also have the original snap in carpet. I ordered the Deckadence immediately after delivery - it still looks brand new, and the original carpet is pretty much new. Gladiator Tower with bimini top Why did you pick this boat: I liked a lot of the competitors boats, but the Enzo seemed to work best on Chautauqua Lake. We get decent chop here, and it seems to cut through better than Mastercraft, Nautiques and Malibu. And I really liked the dealer. How do you use the boat: Wakeboarding / surfing weekday evenings and weekend days. It makes an incredible cocktail cruiser for weekend nights. Amphiteater III sound system along with LED lighting seems to get the party started at night. Any issues with the boat: We had a couple of minor warranty issues when we first got it. The adjustable trim insert in the rudder fell out. The company replaced the rudder, and it has been great since. Boat tracks straight. We replaced the ignition switch. I have three very small spots on the upholstery (each about a quarter inch) that should be fixed with a vinyl repair kit. The Lenco trim tab actuator will be replaced. The actuator is stuck in the fully-up position (which is convenient, because we almost never put it down). I will have that taken care of before anyone takes delivery. I will also have the trailer checked out to make sure its ready for someone to drive it home. Why are you selling the boat: I recently purchased a home on the intercoastal waterway in Florida. I plan to buy a 28-32' center console set up for offshore use. This boat has been babied, and I can't bear the thought of bringing it to Florida where it would get beaten up by salt and sun. I'm hoping someone will love it as much as I have.

  15. Hey all, new boat owner and happy to be part of the Centurion family. Just purchased a 2016 Centurion Enzo SV244 a month ago and have about 42 hrs on it. Getting a GREAT surf wave for left foot forward surfers (which is nice because everyone in my family surfs that side) but REALLY struggling to get a good enough wave with some push for my goofy footed friends. Kind of frustrating, seeing that my goofy footed friends have all wrigged up their much older boats and have a much better goofy wave. The wave is clean but I just can't seem to get it steep enough and definitely does not have the curl like my regular side. Any recommendations for setup? (CATS, Tabs, QuickSurf, etc) Spent an hour last night just tinkering with all of the different settings and still can't get a great wave. Thanks
  16. I have a 2008 Enzo SV230 with the skylon double up tower. Boat came with the Sony head unit with built in amp powering the in boat speakers and a remote mounted on the driver console. My first issue, whenever I hit a wave or small bounce (I am not slamming into wakes), everything turns off and comes back on. I am assuming loose connection somewhere but has anyone had this issue and solved it? #2 Just got a great deal on Roswell Vamp Pro Spin speakers and a Rockford Fosgate 5 Channel M600 Amp. Speakers have LED lights in them. My first thought was to install them to the sub channel but I have been thinking that might become very annoying. My second thought was to add a switch somewhere so I could choose always on or powered by sub. I will also be installing a secondary battery with Perko switch. I have been reading as much as I can on this set up but am a little confused on a few points. I would like to have volume control over in-boat and tower separately. I am on a very tight budget but I also don't want to waste money by buying cheap quality and having to replace in the next year or two. I got the 5 channel amp so that I could add a sub next year and hope to continue adding to the boat each year. Can anyone walk me through (treat me like an infant on this one) how to set this up? If there is a thread that already covers this, direction to that thread would work as well. Thank you in advance for all your help.
  17. Hello, I am selling my 99 Malibu Sunseter VLX with SV23 Wake Hull (same hull as Wakesetter till 2005) for a budget surf boat. I currently have my boat set-up with 600#'s in each rear corner, 500# in front under bow seating, and surf gates. The boat does produce a good wave that is easily surfed ropeless on a smaller board… but I want a much better wave! I need a boat that will throw a great goofy wave, be more comfortable in the chop, and more spacious. I have narrowed the search down to the Avalanche C4, an Enzo with reversed prop rotation (I have seen many of these around the same price as the Avalanche C4), and some Tige models such as the 22V, and maybe an RZ2. My budget is up to 39000. Since my wife will be driving and is comfortable driving a balanced weighted boat, I don't want to have to list the boat to extreme angles to get great results. That will freak my wife out! Have any recommendations?? Thanks guys!
  18. I need help from anyone that has tried this or has any ideas. I have a 2008 Centurion Enzo. I actually haven't even put it in the water yet but I had to put the tower down to get it in my garage. I will have to do this every time I put the boat away to fit in my lift. It seems as if I have to unscrew completely four knobs to allow the tower to fold. I know from experience that this is an accident waiting to happen and one of those knobs is going to be dropped and sink to the bottom of the river. Has anyone done any modifications for a quick release set up? I doubt it is possible since the holes are threaded and I don't want anything rattling while moving but I figured this would be the best place to ask. I will post pictures as soon as the boat is on the water and cleaned up. Thanks,
  19. Hey Guys, Just bought an 11' Enzo 240 a few weeks ago and have been feverishly trying to get in as much riding as possible before winter comes. The boat is currently set up with the quick fills both sides, an Enzo sac port, a smaller sac maybe 300# on the starboard, and the factory center ballast under the floor. After some trial and error the port side wave has been bad A$$, but the dark side is just okay and my wife rides over there (if I ever re-marry that will be my first question, "are you regular or goofy"? My question is, I'm thinking of replacing the starboard small sac with an Enzo sac. This will make everything symmetrical and obviously help out on the dark side wave. Any reason I shouldn't do this? I'm guessing the previous owner just didn't want to invest the $ or didn't have any goofy friends. I'll loose a little storage but we've got lots as it is. I love this forum bc chances are someone has "been there done that" Thanks
  20. Hi I want to put the pss shaft seal on my enzo 230 2010. Anyone know the exact size of the shaft so I can buy the right thing. Thanks
  21. Hello, I own a 2008 Enzo SV 220. Recently I have been having an issue with the boat slipping under a load (surfing) or accelerating hard. The engine compartment recently had quite a bit of water in it. We had a big rain storm and for some reason the bilge was not pumping out any water? From looking at posts on this site sounds like I may have water in the transmission oil and/or the Vdrive. Does my boat have a Vdrive and a transmission. The boat is 3 hours away and I need to pick up fluids in the city here. Can some body let me know what transmission oil I need and what fluid for the Vdrive? (Walter). Am I on the right track here. Is this actually my issue? Boat only has 120 hrs. Thanks for responses. Mike
  22. I just ordered an sv233 with cats and ramfill. It looks like a great system but i havent seen any talk from anyone that has actually used it. All i get is the same you tube videos or talking points from centurion. this is starting to worry me a little. any info would be appreciated. my boat will be here in 4 weeks and i cant wait.
  23. So let me start by saying this whole project started, because my boat was supposed to have a HT-AS-10 from the factory. Got the boat and there was definitely no sub sound. Went back and forth with the factory and the dealer I had bought it from. They thought I was nuts. At the end of the day, the sub was there, but never had power to it. Someone forgot to plug it in. So in case you want to know how to take the panels apart or factory location of sub. Please see attached file. The pictures where too big to post. This whole process took less than one hour with a cordless drill, needle nose pliers, and an extension for the bit (needed it to get around the fuse panel). Pardon the typos in the PDF. I was a bit to tired when I typed it. MrN enzo244.pdf
  24. I was tired of my compartments getting WET? so I switched my blower over to the port side. 2.5 inch PVC caps, little caulking and my carbon vent covers went right over them????
  25. I'll cover all cost for the trade ? tranny , vdrive and prop✌️I'll cover shipping Let's do it
