  1. Hello everyone We took out the new boat on Tuesday and wanted to test out the wake surfing capabilities of the boat. We filled all the ballast bags and when we tried to go we noticed we could not get over 3300 RPM's and could not get over 10mph. Also, I see the prop on the boat is an acme 537, which is 13.5 x 16 x 1 1/8. We reset all of the settings on the mercmonitor and went back and changed things and still only topping out at 3300 RPMS. If we have all the ballast empty then we can hit 5000 RPM around 37 mph. When we were on the test drive we had the same amount of people in our boat a didn't have any issues, but when we got it home we had to move everyone to the front of the boat to even get it close to 10mph. Would a new prop help with the RPM issue? Thank you for any help possible!
  2. seriously looking at a 2004 Enzo 230 And would like details on set up for wake surfing. It’s my understanding it has two ballasts that it came with. Should I add more? It has a four blade prop from wake makers. what should the 2000 for Enzo typically have on it? What should I be looking for?
  3. Guys, I am new to the forum as I just bought my first Centurion a couple weeks ago. It is a 2004 Enzo SV230. My current setup is the factory hard tanks under each side of the boat and 2 540 lb bags (one in each rear locker), plus a delta mission surf shaper. Those are all plumbed in. I own 2 350 lb bags that are not plumbed, but can be filled with a separate pump. Any ideas on the best weight set up to create a good surf wave with enough push? I am still struggling with throwing the rope and consistently staying in the pocket. Once I drift back, it is tough to push back forward. I am 6 foot, 180 lbs and riding a 5 foot 4 inch hyperlite broadcast. Any thoughts on a good board for me? I am fairly new to surfing, but have been wakeboarding my entire life. Thanks for all the input.

  5. We put together a series of videos on how to best optimize the surf wave on your Centurion boat. The videos are broken down into Wakesurfing 101, 201 and 301. Here are some details on each video: Setting Up Your Wakesurf Wave 101 – This video is for when you are first getting started and goes through the basics of how to create a great surf wave that anyone will be able to jump on and enjoy. Setting Up Your Wakesurf Wave 201 – Once you have the basics down this video will help you take it to the next level. In the 201 video we show you how you can use all of the features on your Centurion boat to customize the surf wave based on the rider size, rider skill level, board they are riding on and more. If you are ready to take your wave from great to amazing this video will help you do that. Setting Up Your Wakesurf Wave 301 – In this video we go the extra step to show you how the professional riders and drivers set their boats up. This gets to a level of customization and intensity that is more than a lot of people want to get into but if you want to see how we set things up for pro riders, check this one out! We hope these videos will be helpful and that you can use them to get the most out of your boat. Happy Surfing!

  7. Been riding the same wakesurf board for 8 plus years, needless to say, my go to board needed to be retired. So I recently contacted an old friend Mike Walker of the Walker Project and asked him to make a replacement for the original "Outlaw". After working out the details to begin the build this is what I recently received. Let me know what you think, can't wait to take the first hit this weekend! See more build details on the Double Fish build thread HERE
  8. Here are some pics from this weekend. Thanks COsurf for the awesome camera work.
  9. We have had a long standing relationship with Mike Walker of the Walker Project. Many of his boards have passed under our feet over the years. Many Crew members that have ridden with us or been to a past CCC Weekend have seen or ridden the original Double Fish, pictured below. After years of being passed around and ridden hard it is time for her to retire. When we thought about having the Double Fish II made the first person that came to mind was Mike Walker since some of the features of this board were inspired by him back in the day. Talking with Mike brought out the idea of sharing the entire board build from beginning to the end with the community members of the Crew. The project started with us providing Mike with the original design drawing of the Double Fish we made back in 2009. For those that have not had a chance to ride the Double Fish. With the fish tail the rails run the full length of the board maximizing the rail length. The tail also causes the rails to be pushed out further than most boards due to the width making it super fast down the line. The tail design removes some of the surface area behind the fins compared to a pin tail, this gives the board more bite and drive keeping the tail under control when making hard turns on edge. The tail has a slight rocker giving it more speed and stability when being ridden revert. The hard edge of the rail starts at the back of the board blending into a softer edge that starts just behind the nose rocker, giving the board a rolled nose area for easy slashing without cutting into the face of the wave. The nose or second tail was added to the original design just to be different since everyone at the time had a blunt or diamond nose plus it compliments the board shape. We found out after the fact the nose shape gives the rider several subtle advantages. The board seems more stable when being ridden revert and offers more stability when doing 360's. The wider nose keeps the board from pearling as easy and the split nose has a tendency to let water come under and around the leading edge nose and over the outside area of the nose making it much easier to recover from pearling the board. Overall this has been one of our favorite shapes going on eight years, so much so we are having a new one built for the 2017 season. For those of you that have ridden the Double Fish and offered, begged and pleaded to buy it, this is your chance. Mike will build a limited edition run of 15 boards that will be on a first come first served basis. Once the 14 slots, yes since one is ours making it 15 total boards are spoken for the board and shape will never be built again. More details on the boards including pricing, options, colors, etc. will be posted in the near future. More build details to come, hope everyone enjoys the build. Let us know what you think.
  10. Start making plans for the 19th of August 2016 This year we are moving the CCC Weekend up to Friday the 19th of August CenturionCrew members, family and friends will begin to descend on Bethy Creek Resort near the town of Riverside, Texas an hour north of Houston. For a weekend of fun on the water, full of Centurion boats and water related activities. Dates for the event were moved up this year per discussions with many of the attendees from last year. Please post on the thread if this causes issues for anyone and we can discuss. Of course the fun of an event like this is that everyone shares their boats, boards and has a blast riding and hanging out with old and new friends. The core group will arrive Friday morning to start setting up for the CCC Weekend. Everyone is welcome to check in when ever they would like and stay as long as they like. Friday - Will be the main arrival day, crew members will check in and get some riding in. That evening CCC will provide an eat and greet meal of sausage wrapped in tortillas along with chips and something sweet. Once everyone has had their fill previous year videos will be shown at the pavilion along with a group fire, giving everyone a chance to meet and put name and faces together. Saturday - Ride Ride Ride and Ride some more, a day full of boat hopping, board swapping, in general spending time and riding with crew members you usually don't get a chance to ride with. Learn some new tricks, try the wake on a different model boat, just get out there and have some fun in the Texas sun. There is a sand bar in front of the resort, the plan is to meet at the sand bar to raft up around 4pm and switch up boards, boats and riders, then head back out for a final session. Crew coming in from out of town can rest assure that they will have a boat to jump in and a board to ride behind, so there is no need to bring any boards if you are flying in for the event. After a full day of riding, dinner will be served by CCC which will consist of something really good that has yet to be decided, including something sweet. After the meal, everyone will gather in the pavilion for music, fun and door prizes. Also, if we can work all the details out, crew members will be able to take hits on the ERC (Endless Ride Cable) 2 tower cable system, boards will be provided or you can use your own. See post below for further information on the cable system which can also be ridden the entire weekend. Sunday - Morning rides depending on your travel plans, there will surely be crew members planning to ride most of the day. So anyone remaining on Sunday will still be able to see some action on the water. For those that are considering flying in from out of town, the Bethy Creek Resort is only 75 miles from IAH (George Bush Intercontinental Airport). There is a chance of talking a local crew member into a ride from the airport or grab the cheapest rental car you can find for the weekend. See post below for directions to the CCC Weekend. If you have any QUESTIONS, Please contact CrewAdmin

  13. Start making plans for the 25th of September 2015 This year we are moving the CCC Weekend up two weeks, so on Friday the 25th of September CenturionCrew members, family and friends will begin to descend on Bethy Creek Resort near the town of Riverside, Texas an hour north of Houston. For a weekend of fun on the water, full of Centurion boats and water related activities. We choose to have the event this late in the season to give the crew members to the north a chance to ride and possibly make this their last ride of the season. The fun of an event like this is that everyone shares their boats, boards and has a blast riding and hanging out with friends. The core group will arrive Friday morning to start setting up for the CCC Weekend. Everyone is welcome to check in when ever they would like and stay as long as they like. 15. Long time lookielou, first time Centurion owner; went on a 240 last year and the wake blew my mind. Currently, the boat has factory ballast, tabs, but no switchblade. I want to begin my upgrades as soon as possible. Those of you with this boat, what is the ideal ballast setup? My goal is to create the most push possible (our riders will be up to 6'8" 265 lbs), even if this means a reduction in wave length. I plan to have a custom sac installed to max out the port side rear and underseat storage, but what else should I do? Is there anything to be weary of in installing such a large ballast (damage to compartment, to sideswipe exhaust, etc.) Is additional weight on the goofy side necessary beyond the 500 lbs in the factory tanks (assuming we don't intend to surf that side?) I understand additional weight in the back is good to a point, but them may become counterproductive. Will additional port side weight be beneficial beyond the max custom sac (I will not be sure how much weight will be added by the custom sac until I take measurments, but I imagine it will be between 1600-1800 lbs. If additional portside weight is beneficial, where do you put it and in what form (just on top of the seats, etc.)? Sorry to ask such a basic, new-ish question, but there it is I understand that fill times for a custom sac are about 30 mins unless you make rather significant changes to the intakes (caused by, as I understand it, a combination of impeller rates and the sprinkler-style setup). Are there any simple impeller pump upgrades that materially shorten fill times? Before I cut holes into the boat, I want to check Answers to any of these, or even just what you found to be the best setup, would be sincerely appreciated.
  16. On 12/08/2014 Centurion Boats announced the all new Quick Surf System. The new system will be available on Centurion and Supreme boats starting January the 1st, 2015. The new Quick Surf System allows boat owners total control of their wake surfing experience. The Quick Surf System adds a uniquely shaped tab on the port and starboard side of the boat, fully controlled by the Centurion Boats touch vision system. Combined with the CATS system, the Quick Surf System allows boat owners to have more control over the shape of their wake than any other boat on the market to date. Looking from starboard side towards the center of the boat. Looking from port side towards the center of the boat. With the all new Quick Surf System listing the boat is no longer required, simply fill ballast equally on each side and use the Quick Surf System to instantly transfer from Port (regular) to Starboard (goofy) side within seconds using the touch vision system. http://youtu.be/uoPzyK73gXY Combine a Quick Surf System RAMFILL (No Pumps, No Delays, The largest, fastest filling, ballast system in the world) and CATS (Centurion Articulating Tracking System) for the best wakesurfing boat on the market today!

  19. I've learned that it is easier to teach when the boat is only partially ballasted. Here is a trailer of my kids 1st time wakesurfing.
  20. Ok I have been pulling more people that want to wake surf more than wakeboarding so my questions are 1. What prop do I need for my 2005 Enzo 2. What type of ballast tanks do I need? I have two factory balast tanks one starboard and portside I don't want to put balast sack on my seats and if I pull balst tanks in my transom storage area how much depth of the storage does it give me? 3. Is a balast important in the bow? 4. What's the cost? 5. Center balast does it go in front of the gas tank? And is it important to have?
