Rudder Adjustment
CTMILKMAN posted a topic in Centurion Boat Maintenance, Performance, Troubleshooting
I was finishing up a day on the lake & noticed the my 09 Avy C4 pulling one side when I wasnt holding the wheel. When I pulled it up on the trailer, I noticed that adjustable piece on the rudder had fallen out. With it in place, the boat would track straight, but now it pulls a little to the side. Any ideas where I can get a replacement? -
just curious what everyone uses when changing their oil. My 09 Avy calls for Mercury synthetic 20w40 at $14/qt which seems a little high. I don't put a ton of hours on ??, so I want to try to do most of the upkeep myself.

Do you need to take the riser off or does it just make it easier? If so, anyone know what the replacement gasket # is for the riser? Just about 100hrs and it started on the port side. -
You also have the plug & play option with satellite. It is 1 source unit that can plug into any radio thru the aux in. I have used my plug & play in the boat, car, 18 wheeler, everything but the motorcycle!!

bcollins, super & kalidgh, I am with you guys. I could drive a boat long before I could drive a car. I am teaching my kids now how to drive responsibly. I will let my 11yr old handle our "evening cruise" around the lake most nights, while giving his 7yr old brother a chance here & there; of course its a slow cruise and I am right next to them. On quiet days on the lake, I will let them take me for a ride and like you guys point things out that they need to watch for. What it boils down to is this, I would much rather have them learn the right way too early than the wrong too late (late=teenagers trying to impress their friends)

Its crazy Doc, you are 100% correct. I just shake my head every time I see little kids wearin the newest Nike's or geared out in designer baby clothes. The kids don't care what they are wearing, at least until their parents "educate" them.and by then its too late. I feel rich because my family is healthy, we have a good group of friends of different income levels and it has never mattered who had what or how much something cost, as long as we had a good time; you know, the way it is supposed to be!! If some one wants to point fingers at that, I say go ahead cuz deep down, I know that that is exactly what they are looking for because are their "friends" are probably just as status conscious as they are

I couldn't agree more!! As someone who has busted his hump for a long time to get where I am, you can bet you last gallon of fuel in the boat that I am bringing up my kids to work for everything they get. My 11 yr old son wanted an iTouch for his birthday & was upset when we told him that it was too expensive. Instead we told him that he could let the family know that he was saving for one and that instead of getting him a present they could help him reach his goal. Well after his birthday and a few chores later, I was more than happy to take him to the store to pick one out. Not only did he learn a little about the value of a dollar, but he has taken better care of that than any of his other toys.

Its a shame that common sense isn't so common. I listen to all types of music, including rap,but I have a "PG-13" playlist so as to try not offend too many people. Besides, my kids hear enough of those choice words already, I don't need to add to it.

My guess is that if you reset the max speed from the trip history menu and then make a run with the GPS mounted to the car with the old motor it would show your top speed. You could then switch motors and again reset the max speed and run again with it mounted to see the difference

Boat Trailer Stolen in Osoyoos
CTMILKMAN replied to bob in fort mac's topic in Centurion Boat Maintenance, Performance, Troubleshooting
I have used a simple Master Lock on the fold away tongue so that an honest thief could not properly open the tongue to connect it properly, but have not thought about it being taken off of my truck -
^x2!!!

tiki torch fuel does the same with no explosion at the end!!

I am definitely going to look into that and by the way on the boat, Rule # 1 is have fun or get out, Rule # 2 is re-read Rule 1!!!
